  • 모바일 인터넷 통신망의 급속한 발전과 스마트폰 보급률이 늘어남에 따라 언제 어디서나 빠르게 인터넷에 접속할 수 있는 정보 인프라가 갖추어졌다. 더불어 이를 이용하는 사용자 간의 사회적 네트워크 소통 시스템이 최근 주목받고 있다. 하지만 단순한 메시지나 사진, 음성이나 동영상 등의 데이터를 교환하는데 그치고 있다. 이러한 시스템 환경에서는 다른 사용자의 피드백이 필요한 질문이나 설문, 투표와 같은 요청이 발생하였을 때 만족스러운 결과를 얻기까지 여러 번의 복잡한 메시지 교환이 이루어져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 불편을 해결하기 위하여 질문자의 물음에 답변하는 일반적인 설문조사 방식이 아닌 투표 할 수 있는 후보에 대한 추천을 응답자들이 직접 하는 것이 가능하도록 하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

A Study on Faculty's Adoption of Institutional Repositories(IRs) Based on the Diffusion of Innovations Theory (교수들의 기관 레포지터리 수용에 관한 연구: 혁신확산이론을 바탕으로)

  • This study examined perceptions of 109 professors at doctorate-granting universities in the U.S. who have self-archived in Institutional Repositories(IRs), predicated on the Diffusion of Innovations Theory. The majority of the faculty learned about IRs through the contact from IR staff or their presentations. Relating to five characteristics of an innovation, digital preservation and usage statistics of an IR were considered to be its relative advantage. The principle of Open Access(OA) was found to have compatibility with the values that professors ultimately pursued. The trialability of an IR was determined by the fact that IRs were adopted by faculty through the participation of pilot projects. Professors who gained positive and visible results from IR adoption seemed more strongly support the repository. In addition, it is necessary for IRs to provide stable and effective services that support the continued adoption of IRs.

Monte Carlo Simulation-Based Cost Estimation for Floating Trash Barrier Maintenance (몬테카를로 시뮬레이션 기반 부유 쓰레기 차단막 유지관리 비용 추정 방안)

  • Marine debris entering through rivers negatively impacts the environment and poses a direct threat to human health. While barriers to prevent the outflow of floating debris are being installed, attention to their maintenance, especially the scheduling of garbage collection, is insufficient. Currently, maintenance relies on a sequential collection method based on the experience and know-how of field workers, with little systematic research to support it. In response, this study proposes a new feedback-based collection method based on YOLOv7, Monte Carlo simulation for trash collection analysis. The proposed method conducts collection based on the amount of trash detected by remote sensors such as CCTV, and the expected costs are statistically and economically compared using Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS). The results showed that the new collection strategy offers a cost advantage of about 63 % over the existing strategy.

  • 초고속 인터넷 망의 구축에 따라 정보통신 교육이 활성화에 힘입어 직.간접적으로 응용하기 위한 노력이 지속적으로 진행되어 왔다. 웹 기반 원격강의는 원거리 학습자들의 학습욕구를 자기 주도적인 학습이 되도록 전체적인 수업을 진행하므로 학습과정에서의 질의 응답을 교수자에게 면대면으로 제공하지 못하였다. 따라서 학습자가 요구한 질의 내용을 잘못 이해함에 따라 교수자가 학습과정에서의 피드백 제공을 하지 못함으로써 개인학습의 동기부여가 감소됨에 따라 흥미를 입게 되었다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 서비스에 대한 체계적인 분석 및 설계를 위해 네비게이션 모델을 통해 질의 응답을 지원하는 QALT(Question Answer Learning Tool)를 설계 및 구현한다. 원격강의는 웹 상에서 기본적인 컨텐츠를 제시하고 그를 통해 수업이 진행되는 과정에서의 질의 응답의 문제점을 개선하기 위해 일다대(One-To-Many)의 서비스를 제공한다. 또한. 학습자는 교수자가 지정한 교육용 서버를 통해 텍스트 형식이 아닌 강의자료로 쓰인 문서파일에 직접 작성하여 질의 응답을 가능하게 된다. 그로 인해 교수자와 학생간의 질의 응답을 통해 상호작용을 원활하게 할 수 있는 보조학습도구로써의 사용이 증가될 것이다. 또한 서버에서의 폴더 서비스와 메일링 서비스를 통해 실시간 질의 응답이 가능함으로써 학습자는 강의파일에서 그림에 관한 질문에 효과를 볼 수 있고 교수자는 질문 받은 내용의 위치를 시각적으로 쉽게 볼 수 있으므로 빠른 응답이 가능하게 될 것이다.

A Study on the Educational Methods of Convergence Major Based Learning (CMBL) for University Students (지역 연계 융합전공수행 기반 대학 교육 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop convergence major-based learning (CMBL), which selects performance tasks related to local problems at hand and solves them based on convergence major performance, and builds a suitable teaching and learning model. We developed a CMBL class with a team project-type class that finds and solves practical problems in the region to cultivate overall problem-solving capabilities for convergence major competencies. Additionally, for this class, the instructor played a role as a bridgehead to explore and connect the community's sites, and students visited connected institutions in person to identify problems they need based on understanding and empathy for the subjects through field observation and qualitative interviews, and developed a CMBL class teaching and learning model necessary to directly solve them by using their major capabilities to the fullest. Therefore, we intend to present the future-oriented direction of university convergence education required by the community by forming a group of students with various majors to cultivate the ability to solve realistic problems in the community.

A Study on the Motivation for the Participation in Video UCC Production and Its Effects (동영상 UCC 제작 참여 동기와 효과에 대한 연구)

  • With the recent trend of Web 2.0, experts argue that the UCC age has blossomed where people themselves produce their own content and share it on the Internet. However, more academic studies on video UCC production are needed to understand fully the video UCC phenomenon in Korea. This study was done as an exploratory study to investigate the motivations for video UCC production and its effects. Results reveal that the important motivations for participating in video UCC creation are fun, sharing, and self-expression. For the rewards for video UCC creation participation, feedback, sharing and self-satisfaction are considered valuable psychological rewards by the video UCC creators. Furthermore, the total amount of video UCC production is positively correlated with self-evaluation of fun, importance, and practicality of the video UCC content.

Strengthening Teacher Competencies in Response to the Expanding Role of AI (AI의 역할 확대에 따른 교사 역량 강화 방안)

  • This study investigates the changes in teachers' roles as the impact of AI on school education expands. Traditionally, teachers have been responsible for core aspects of classroom instruction, curriculum development, assessment, and feedback. AI can automate these processes, particularly enhancing efficiency through personalized learning. AI also supports complex classroom management tasks such as student tracking, behavior detection, and group activity analysis using integrated camera and microphone systems. However, AI struggles to automate aspects of counseling and interpersonal communication, which are crucial in student life guidance. While direct conversational replacement by AI is challenging, AI can assist teachers by providing data-driven insights and pre-conversation resources. Key competencies required for teachers in the AI era include expertise in advanced instructional methods, dataset analysis, personalized learning facilitation, student and parent counseling, and AI digital literacy. Teachers should collaborate with AI to emphasize creativity, adjust personalized learning paths based on AI-generated datasets, and focus on areas less amenable to AI automation, such as individualized learning and counseling. Essential skills include AI digital literacy and proficiency in understanding and managing student data.

  • Current end-to-end congestion control depends only on the information of end points (using three duplicate ACK packets) and generally responds slowly to the network congestion. This mechanism can't avoid TCP global synchronization which TCP congestion window size is fluctuated during congestion occurred and if RTT (Round Trip Time) is increased, three duplicate ACK packets is not a correct congestion signal because congestion maybe already disappeared and the host may send more packets until receive the three duplicate ACK packets. Recently there is increasing interest in solving end-to-end congestion control using active network frameworks to improve the performance of TCP protocols. ACC (Active congestion control) is a variation of TCP-based congestion control with queue management In addition traffic modifications nay begin at the congested router (active router) so that ACC will respond more quickly to congestion than TCP variants. The advantage of this method is that the host uses the information provided by the active routers as well as the end points in order to relieve congestion and improve throughput. In this paper, we model enhanced ACC, provide its algorithm which control the congestion by using information in core networks and communications between active routers, and finally demonstrate enhanced performance by simulation.

Study on Development of Educational Program for Social Welfare Officials' Social Welfare Values (사회복지 공무원을 위한 사회복지가치 교육프로그램 개발 연구)

  • This study was conducted to develop the educational program for enhancing newly hired social welfare and reshuffled officials' welfare value. To this end, it verified social welfare officials' perceptions on welfare mind and value, and drew educational necessity through interviews with professionals and incumbent officials, and thus developed the educational program of welfare value. The findings can be summarized: First, educational contents were designed for them to directly share three factors in social welfare value and also think examples observed in the field. Second, the educational method was organized to share opinions each other through discussions and presentations and provide feedbacks. From the findings, the following suggestion can be found. It is necessary to systematically develop and implement the educational program adjusted for each position from the lowest to the highest, in order for social welfare officials to internalize the fundamental welfare value that they should have.

Profit Model for Network Contents Service using QoE (QoE를 이용한 네트워크 콘텐츠 서비스 수익모델 설계 및 분석)

  • Conventional content-delivering services over the Internet were mainly based on the "best effort" scheme, which have been failed to provide a concrete profit model to the content providers. Mean while, a quality assuring network service is expected to provide reasonable profit model. However the relation between the cost and profit of the quality service is under studies. Recently, the Quality of Experience (QoE) was introduced to measure the real satisfaction level of users and used to develope profit models of quality services. The QoE can be used as a key tool for efficient service providing and also criteria for accurate satisfaction measurement. Especially, the QoE based feedback on the intention to pay for the service will be an important information to the content providers. This paper will introduce a model for the costs of quality services, and a profit model based on the QoE. The result of the paper can be used to develope business models for contents services over the growing networks.
