  • The recent domestic construction market is in a difficult situation due to reduction of the government's SOC budget and new orders from public-sector, and the deterioration of housing supply situation in the private sector etc. In addition, the number of disasters in the construction industry has increased in recent years with 26,570 people (up 5.7% from the previous year) in 2016, unlike other industries that are in a declining trend. As such, the construction industry has unique characteristics and problems such as high industrial accidents rate, abnormal subcontracting structure, excessive working hours and work intensity. As a result, the construction workers have a lot of job stresses. Job stress has been recognized as one of the major causes of industrial accidents and many researches have been conducted on that. However, most of the researches were about the factors that induce job stress and how these factors affect disaster occurrence, job satisfaction, job performance, turnover intentions, and job exhaustion. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of positive psychological capital on job stress, which is emerging as a new human resources development paradigm useful in corporate management in order to find ways to reduce job stress. To do this, 347 data collected from construction workers in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong provinces were analyzed using statistical package(IBM SPSS 22) for basic statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. • According to the Statistics Korea, in 2011, people over the age of 65 years old accounted for 11.8% of Korea's population. This number is expected to rise to 15.0% by 2019, making Korea an "aged society". As age increases, physical ability degrades to the point that the workload must be adjusted limitations. However, workloads are given regardless of workers' ages or abilities. In addition, a decline in work efficiency due to aging also increases the risk of work-related injuries. Furthermore, the cases of stress related diseases along with musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs) rise as main factors of industrial disasters and excessive job stress gives negative influence not only on mental health but also on physical health so that job stress becomes a hot issue as a main cause of work ability falloff and turnover. The purpose of this research is to examine how the sociodemographic characteristics, MSDs symptoms and musculoskeletal workload of workers in the manufacturing industry of automobile parts influence work ability and job stress. As a result of the research, job ability showed significant differences statistically according to age, working year, sex, marital status and musculoskeletal workload and job stress showed significant differences statistically according to age, working year, marital status and musculoskeletal workload. In addition, it showed that as the worker's job ability decreases, job stress increases.

  • In the recent era of the fourth industrial revolution, many industries aim to maximize the efficiency of products and services by introducing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data. In this situation, organizational culture is changing a lot due to the influx of the MZ generation with strong individualistic tendencies and the decreased face-to-face communication between members. However, active communication with colleagues is still essential to maximize performance, and the margins created by simplifying work processes and automating processes must be used for creating work performance. This requires cooperation and commitment through the job immersion of members who have an active attitude. This study analyzed how the organization's autonomous work environment and trust among members, which are creative work performance conditions, affect job immersion using raw data from the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute. As a result, it was found that both the organization's autonomous working environment and trust among members significantly effected the members' job immersion. in order to achieve productivity and value improvement in companies, efforts are needed to increase workers' job immersion by building an autonomous working environment and trust among members. The results of this study are expected to contribute significantly to the search for ways to increase workers' job commitment to improve organizational productivity.
