  • A systemic review on the factors affecting food catering hygiene was conducted to provide information for risk management of food catering in Korea. In total 47 keywords relating to food catering and food hygiene were searched for published journals in the DBpia for the last decade (2005-2014). As a result, 1,178 published papers were searched and 142 articles were collected by the expert review. To find the major factors affecting food catering and microbial safety, an analysis based on organization and stakeholder were conducted. School catering (64 papers) was a major target rather than industry (5 pagers) or hospitals (3 papers) in the selected articles. The factors affecting school catering were "system/facility/equipment (15 papers)", "hygiene education (12 papers)", "production/delivery company (6 papers)", food materials (4 papers)" and "any combination of the above factors (9 papers)". The major problems are follow. 1) The problems of "system/facility/equipment" were improper space division/separation, lack of mass cooking utensil, lack of hygiene control equipment, difficulty in temperature and humidity control, and lack of cooperation in the HACCP team (dietitian's position), poor hygienic classroom in the case of class dining (students'), hard workload/intensity of labor, poor condition of cook's safety (cook's) and lack of parents' monitoring activity (parents'). 2) The problem of "hygiene education' were related to formal and perfunctory hygiene education, lack of HACCP education, lack of compliance of hygiene practice (cook's), lack of personal hygiene education and little effect of education (students'). 3) The problems of "production/delivery company" were related to hygiene of delivery truck and temperature control, hygiene of employee in the supplying company and control of non-accredited HACCP company. 4) The area of "food materials" cited were distrust of safety regarding to raw materials, fresh cut produces, and pre-treated food materials. 5) In addition, job stability/the salary can affect the occupational satisfaction and job commitment. And job stress can affect the performance and the hygiene practice. It is necessary for the government to allocate budget for facility and equipment, conduct field survey, improve hygiene training program and inspection, prepare certification system, improve working condition of employees, and introducing hygiene and layout consulting by experts. The results from this study can be used to prepare education programs and develop technology for improving food catering hygiene and providing information.

Therefore, it is intended to provide basic data when developing convergence subjects and non-regular programs within the occupational therapy (department) curriculum. From December 03, 2020, a web questionnaire consisting of 14 questions in 4 areas was distributed over a month, and the data of 130 people were finally analyzed. The results are as follows. First, the recognition and experiences of occupational therapy students in convergence education were low. Second, 57.7% of students recognized that occupational therapy majors need convergence education, and the expected effect of convergence education was 'improvement of occupational therapy job-related knowledge'. Third, it was recognized that 'natural science', 'prosthesis and assistive technology, activity of daily living(ADL)', and 'ADL training' convergence education was necessary for the students of occupational therapy department. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data in the future development of occupational therapy curriculum and non-regular programs for convergence education. In the future, I think that the demand for convergence education and program development in preparation for the 4th industrial revolution will increase in the occupational therapy curriculum. It is expected that the data of this study will be used meaningfully by professors in charge of occupational therapy education at universities.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the fitness of major courses according to the development and application of new curricula based on the NCS (National Competency Standards) of health-related departments at junior colleges. To accomplish this, 300 students of the health-related departments at junior colleges were surveyed from March 11 to March 30, 2016. The overall findings showed that their awareness of NCS, intent of integration and understanding of curriculum contents had a significant effect on the fitness for linkage and combination with existing education. Competency unit elements based on the newly developed NCS (job, work, qualification and training standardization of major courses) were linked with existing education. And students - who accept this - are rapidly assimilated into the new curriculum contents. In particular, they have a high understanding of the integrated development of standardized curricula between three major departments, unlike existing textbooks. In conclusion, the high perception and understanding of knowledge integration education are expected to have a positive effect on healthcare education, establishing an early health-related NCS system in the future, and improving site fitness for development of the contents of NCS.

  • This study aims to investigate changes in the demand for ship officers in response to changes in the shipping industry environment in which Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) emerge according to the application of the fourth industrial revolution technology to ships, and it looks into changes in the skill of ship officer. It also analyzes and proposes a plan for nurturing ship officers accordingly. As a result of the degree of recognition and AHP analysis, this study suggests that a new training system is required because the current training and education system may cover the job competencies of emergency response, caution and danger navigation, general sailing, cargo handling, seaworthiness maintenance, emergency response, and ship maintenance and management, but tasks such as remote control, monitoring diagnosis, device management capability, and big data analysis require competency for unmanned and shore-based control. By evaluating the importance of change factors in the duties of ship officers in Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships, this study provides information on ship officer educational institutions' response strategies for nurturing ship officers and prioritization of resource allocation, etc. The importance of these factors was compared and evaluated to suggest changes in the duties of ship officers and methods of nurturing ship officers according to the introduction of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships. It is expected that the findings of this study will be meaningful as it systematically derives the duties and competency factors of ship officers of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships from a practical point of view and analyzed the perception level of each relevant expert to diagnose expert-level responses to the introduction of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships.

  • Organizational factors and personal traits are two elements of widely acknowledged relevance in employees' organizational outcomes in hotel industry. Personal traits especially need to be further examined as a consideration for employment. As one of the personal traits that provide capability to manage emotions, emotional intelligence is selected. The empirical objective of this study is to investigate the effects of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment in a structural model. To conduct research questions, five star deluxe hotel employees in Korea are targeted to be surveyed. Descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling(SEM) are utilized employing SPSS and AMOS 4.0 to analyze the survey results. It was found that the components of perceiving emotions and understanding emotions predicted job satisfaction. Relatively perceiving emotions presented a higher impact on each dimension of job satisfaction. Satisfaction with co-workers and communication can also explain the level of hotel employees' organizational commitment. Broadly speaking, the results suggest that effective psychotherapeutic or reciprocative programs should be integrated into hotel training contents for emotional intelligence development.
