  • Using SPOT satellite imagery, 3 dimensional geographic information can be obtained from SPOT's oblique viewing image. Especially, SPOT provides high spatial resolution, adequate base/height ratio and stable orbit characteristics. In this paper, 3D terrain features were extracted using SPOT stereo image and also the techniques for generation of 3D graphic data were developed for the extracted terrain features. We developed computer programs to generate automatically 3D graphic files and to display geographic information on the computer screen. The results of this study may be effectively utilized for the development of 3D geographic information using satellite images.

  • The correct river discharge is a important item to keep a river role of using, controlling and ecology. Especially river role of ecology is very important for environmental development of river. In assesment of ecological flow, exact information of river life and topograph is very important. In this paper, the assesment of environmental flow is conducted using geo-spatial data of basin and river. The geo-spatial data is used as a important basic data in river restoration.

  • In the field of geospatial information, 3D shape information has been considered as a frame data for GIS. Many kind of physical shape information is, especially, required for the works related with space, such as planning, maintenance, management, etc. Conventional photogrammetry was implemented under the conditions with expensive metric cameras and analytical plotters operated by experts. Nowadays, however, the metric cameras and analytical plotters are replaced by low price non-metric digital cameras and personal computers by virtue of the progress in digital photogrammetry. This study aims to investigate the technology to easily and promptly produce 3D shape information required in geospatial information system using close-range photogrammetry with non-metric digital cameras. As the results of this study, 3D shape of an experimental object was made out with a common compact digital camera and only a known length of a line component in the object and the accuracy of the dimension of 3D shape was analyzed to be less than one pixel.

  • The contents development for the Internet and cyber tour has been attempted in a number of areas. 3D topography of the spatial environment, land planning and land information contents as a 3D tour of the future ubiquitous city safe for tourism due to the implementation of information made available major area. Domestic service, and in urban areas of the country where land and precise spatial information in order to shoot satellites and aircraft in the area you want to mount the camera on a variety of photo images taken by conducting 3D spatial that is required is able to obtain the information. Geo spatial information in a variety of direct or indirect acquisition of the initial spatial data into a database for accurate collection, storage, editing, manipulation and application technology changes in the future by establishing a database of 3D spatial by securing content organization ubiquitous tourist to take advantage of new tourism industry was greatly. As a result of this study for future tourism using geo spatial information and analysis of 3D modeling by intelligent land information indirectly, with quite a few stereo site experience and a variety of tourist spatial acquisition and utilization of information could prove.

  • Spatial objects in the space II odd hale been changed bl eitber non-spiltial operations or spatial operations. For example, their states arc changed by the following operation: changing their owners, changing their owner's address, installing new constructions, changing precincts, splitting, and merging, The conventional geographic information system(GIS), however, did not also manage their histoncal information cecause it handles the snapshot image of spatial ohjects in the world. In this paper we therelore propose a spatiotemporal data model which is ahle to not un]y manage the historical information of spatial objects but also, support their historical intemlgation by extending a time dimension and a historical pointer for SDE(Spatial Database Engine) spatial data model. Finally, the proposed spatiotemporal data model using a layered time extension are going to contribute to manage the history of spatial objects in the world and retrieve them.

  • This study aims to seek adequate and optimized method of applying high quality three-dimensional spatial data created via high-resolution digital aerial photograph image and aerial LiDAR data onto three-dimensional planning of environmentally friendly, ecological restoration of rivers in accordance with irrigation and flood control objectives of urban rivers. Through three-dimensional modeling of before and after the restoration, the research also offers basic information regarding restorations of rivers. Also the transition from the conventional two-dimensional planning into three-dimensional planning environment using smart spatial information acquire accuracy of river analysis, analyze possible civil complaints and suggest solutions to potential problems.

  • When planning for streams, adequate and definite flood control should be in the primary consideration of the planner; likewise, flood control is the basic prerequisite for the recent river restoration taking place nationwide. Planning 'safe' streams and rivers that are predictable and controllable begins from accurate survey data. In this research, we will create streams in 3D terrain models and apply them through hydraulic analysis and restoration using smart geospatial information. This process allows the extraction of more accurate data regarding streams and rivers, which makes possible precise hydraulic analysis that is superior in details to the conventional methods. The study also proposes optimal vertical section interval for efficient data processing on hydraulic analysis, applicable when LiDAR data is utilized on hydraulic analysis of urban streams. The study proposes 3D design plan and various applications for spatially planning and restoring rivers and streams.
