The Need Analysis for Operating Course-based National Technical Qualification Course of Vocational School Teachers (직업계고 교사의 과정평가형 자격 과정 운영에 대한 교육요구도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to use as a basic data of establishing operating Course-based National Technical Qualification(CNTQ) support program by examining the educational needs for operating CNTQ of vocational school teachers, and to contribute to the vocational school settlement of CNTQ course. To achieve those purposes, this study drew 27 tasks performed by teachers operating CNTQ. Also, it surveyed the perceived importance and the performance. The findings of this study are as follows. First, it is showed that 'selection of qualification fields and confirmation of organization criteria, organization of educational training time by competency unit, organization of subjects and establishment of competency unit operating plan by grade and semester, selection of teaching materials, implementation of education and training, establishment of evaluation plan, implementation of evaluation, re-education and re-evaluation students with grades under 40%, guidance of paper evaluation, guidance of practical evaluation, guidance of interview evaluation' are the first priority tasks in the result of the need analysis. Second, it is indicated that 'application of external evaluation, guidance to retake an exam for failure' are the secondary priority tasks. According to these results, the following conclusions were made. First, it will be more positive effects if the educational needs in the next CNTQ support program include contents of the first priority tasks. Second, it is indicated that the priority of the educational needs for tasks of operating plan stages is commonly high. In particular, the highest ranking in the result means that it is completely supported from the first step on operating course. It is expected that the program which teachers on operating the course of similar qualification fields share each operating experience is effective. Third, the priority of the educational needs for external evaluation step ranked high. External evaluation has a different level of difficulty and a form of practical evaluation output according to qualification fields, so the method of guidance has to be different. It needs the program constructed by similar fields.

Security Improvement Methods for Computer-based Test Systems (컴퓨터 기반 평가 시스템의 보안성 강화 방안)

  • ICT technology has been applied to various educational fields, but applying to educational test field is limited. Computer-based test (CBT) can overcome temporal and spatial constraints of conventional paper-based test, but is vulnerable to fraud by test parties. In this paper, we propose real-time monitoring and process management methods to enhance the security of CBT. In the proposed methods, the test screens of students are periodically captured and transferred to the professor screen to enable real-time monitoring, and the possible processes used for cheating can be blocked before testing. In order to monitor the screen of many students in real time, effective compression of the captured original image is important. We applied three-step compression methods: initial image compression, resolution reduction, and re-compression. Through this, the original image of about 6MB was converted into the storage image of about 3.8KB. We use the process extraction and management functions of Windows API to block the processes that may be used for cheating. The CBT system of this paper with the new security enhancement methods shows the superiority through comparison of the security related functions with the existing CBT systems.

  • The Science Gifted Education Center of Chongju National University of Education used the chemical experiments for selecting gifted children in the area of science. There are two kinds of experiments, 'the observing the dissolution of cube sugar (Exp1)' and the guessing the concentration of solutions (Exp2)'. Students basic skills of observation, problem recognition and the ability using the models were verified through Exp1. Exp2 was used to verify the practical problem solving skill of children. Besides, the affective facts of the interests, adhesive power of the problems were evaluated through the teacher abservation. The evaluation using experiments turned out to be valuable for the identification of the gifted children who have the creativity, originality, and fluency in the field of science.

  • Since PISA2006, the computer based assessment in mathematics(CBAM) was introduced for the first times and at last PISA2015 used all items in CBAM for problem solving. In this study, we focused on which important properties were considered in constructing geometric 'fence items' used in PISA 2015 to find the future direction over our teacher education, especially for constructing 'computer based assessment items.' For the purpose of the study, we analyzed the fence items on three components such as dependency, invariant, and path found in dragging activities, within a computer environment using the dynamic Geometry Software, GSP. Also, for the future, we provided an open-ended problem related to the fence items, which we could use as the merit of computer-based environment.

  • In the 2009 new curriculum reform, where creativity is the key point, assessment methods for mathematical creativity is recommended. However, lessons for creativity are not carried out well in mathematics classes. One of the reasons for this is the lack of assessment methods for student's creativity and specific instructions on how teachers should evaluate their students using a written test. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a simple way to evaluate student's creativity by differentiating the student's solutions of the posed problems. For validation of the proposed method, we identified the properties of excellent problem solutions cited by both the students group and teachers group. A chi-square test was then carried out to compare any differences in frequency that each of the groups chose as an excellent solution as a result of the student's problem solving

  • This study investigated both elementary and middle school students' abilities of reading scales and students' conceptions of measuring instruments and units. Seventy two students with 5th grade, sixty nine students with 7th grade, and eighty students with 9th grade were participated. Performance tests and written questionnaires were used. To assess their scale reading abilities, individual performance test was used. Every student should measure length of an envelope, temperature of water, volume of water, etc. And to find out students' conceptions related with measuring instruments and units, written questionnaires with pictures and photographs were used. Some of the students' abilities of reading scales were considerably poor. The results of a two-plate-balance and measuring-cylinder were worse than those of a ruler, a spring-balance, and a thermometer. Many of the students had misconceptions related with measuring instruments. Some of them did not know exactly the meaning of volume, or mass, or force. So they did not know what to measure with the measuring instruments. Also students were confused with several units of volume, force, weight and mass.

Effect Analysis of Learners' Competence and Class Satisfaction by Capstone Design (캡스톤디자인 수업이 학생역량 및 수업만족도에 미치는 효과에 대한 사례 연구)

  • This case study analyzed the effect of capstone design on students' competence and class satisfaction. Three subjects developed in S university were analyzed, and 92 students participated. Results show that the lesson structure of the capstone design was developed to provide students with problem solving competence and practical business skills through hands-on experience. In addition, the students' competence was enhanced, and their satisfaction in class was very high. Statistical results show that, compared to the existing classes, class satisfaction in capstone design improved significantly. Considering the foregoing results, this study suggested that for the capstone design, the lesson structure and method need to be diversified to provide more opportunities for students to participate and become active. The assessment procedure and method also have to be more objective to lessen subjectivity and to increase class satisfaction in capstone design.

  • Introduction of logarithm in mathematics textbook in the 7th national curriculum of mathematics is the inverse of exponent. This introduction is happened that students don't know the necessity for learning logarithm and the meaning of logarithm. Students also have solved many problems of logarithm by rote. Therefore, we try to present teaching unit for the logarithm according to the historico-genetic principle. We developed the learning-teaching module of unit for the logarithm according to historico-genetic principle, especially reinvention for real contexts based RME. Loaming-teaching module is carried out as the performance assessment. As a results, We find out that this module helps students understand concepts of logarithm meaningfully Also, mathematical errors of logarithm is revised after the application of learning-teaching module.

Condebelt 공정변수에 따른 국산 라이너지의 물성 변화

  • 98년말 동일제지에 도입 설치된 Condebelt 설비는 세계 최초의 대형생산설비로 국제적 인 관심을 모으고 있다. 이러한 첨단 Condebelt 기술의 국산화를 위해서는 국내 원료 특성 에 적합하도록 공정최적화가 요청된다. 본 연구에서는 KOCC를 원료로 이용한 라이너지를 C Conde belt를 이용하여 생산할 경우 주요 공정변수에 따른 물성 변화를 평가하고, 이를 통하 여 Condebelt 공정을 최적화하고자 실험실용 파일로트 건조기를 이용하여 Condebelt 공정의 주요 변수가 지질에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 실험용 Condebelt 건조장치의 상부플레이트는 18WC까지, 하부플레이트는 냉각수를 이용 하여 40-80'C까지 조절이 가능하도록 설계하였으며, 유압을 이용하여 압체 압력과 시간을 변화시킬 수 있도록 하였다. 구축된 실험장치를 이용하여 Conde belt 공정의 주요 변수인 온도, 압력, 압체시간, 유입 지필의 건조도 변화에 따른 라이너지의 물성 변화를 평가하고 이를 실린더 건조된 종이의 물성과 비교하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 검토된 모든 건조조건에서 Conde belt 건조된 종이가 실린더 건조 된 종이보다 높은 강도를 나타내었으며, 투기저항성과 광택도 역시 향상되었다. 투기저항성 과 광택도는 강도적 성질과 달리 유입지 건조도가 높을수록, 상부플레이트의 온도가 높을수 록 그 효과가 저하되었다. 일반적으로 KOCC를 원료로한 라이너지를 Conde belt로 제조할 경우 상부 고온챔버의 온도를 160'C, 압체압력을 5 bar로 조절하는 것이 가장 좋을 것으로 판단되었다. 원료펄프의 조성에 따른 Condebelt 공정의 건조효과를 연구한 결과 모든 펄프에서 공히 C Condebelt 건조방법이 실린더 건조방법에 비하여 물성 향상 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으 며, 그 효과는 펼프의 리그닌 함량이 높을수록 크게 나타났다. 또 Condebelt의 물성개선 특 성을 이용한 원료비 절감 가능성을 평가하기 위해 AOCC와 KOCC를 이용하여 단층지와 이 층지를 제조하고 물성을 비교평가하였다. 그 결과 Condebelt를 이용하면 KOCC의 비율을 증가시키더라도 AOCC만을 이용하여 실린더 건조한 종이보다 우수한 물성을 얻을 수 있었다. 이러한 연구를 통하여 Condebelt 공정이 국내 저급원료로 제조된 종이의 강도 저하를 극복할 수 있는 기술임을 확인하였다.

A Study on Correlation Analysis of Entrance Scores by Observation and Nomination System and Performance Assessment Scores for Gifted Children in IT (정보영재아동의 관찰추천제 입학성적과 수행평가 성적의 상관관계 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to identify the correlation of entrance score by observation and nomination system and performance assessment score for the gifted children in IT. In other words, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the reliability of observation and nomination system by analyzing and comparing entrance scores and performance assessment score during the period of attendance for the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, the gifted children are selected and analyzed in a gifted science center attached to a university at Seoul Metropolitan Area. The analysis results show that there is meaningful correlation between entrance score and performance assessment score. That is, if high scores in entrance exam means high scores in performance assessment scores. The result will be useful to trust and extend observation and nomination system for the selection of gifted children in IT.
