A Study on The New Level of Service for Rural Two-Lane Highways (지방부 2차로도로의 새로운 서비스수준 산정에 관한 연구)

  • Two-Lane Highway of Korea is important, Because it has the largeest portion of all roads of Korea. But it has only one lane for one direction. So, If Delays are happened by low-speed vehicles, high-speed vehicles should over-take through the other side of the road. This over-takings can generate the high possibility of traffic accidents and the severity of traffic accidents by over-takings is very high. Because it generates a head-on collision. But the level of Service that indicates the operation states of Two-Lane Highway is defined as a conception that explains the operation conditions of traffic safety etc. Whencalculating the Level of service. It is considered by only delays. So, in this paper, first, this author wants to present the calculation of delay-time by Total-Delay Rate. Second, by multiplying this delay-time by the costs of delays wants to present the method of calulates the total delay costs. Third, to consider the traffic accidents, After predicting the number of traffic accidents, As multipling this by the average of costs of traffic accidents. want to present the method to calculate Total traffic accidents costs. Forth, present the operation costs.

Signal Optimization Model Reflecting Alternative Use of Lanes for Left/Through Traffic at A Signalized Intersection (차로공동이용화를 위한 신호최적화모형 개발 연구)

  • Signal optimization model for alternative use of lanes at a signalized intersection with an stop-line added backward was presented in this paper. The simulation results shot-ed that the traffic fed from the stop-line passed the intersection in each specified phasing interval for left and through traffic. The experimental results indicated that the proposed model was much superior to traditional signal optimization methodology in reducing delay, fuel consumption, and disutility index for delay and stops. The effects for reducing delay were greater than those for doing fuel consumption and disutility index due to the added stop-line. The proposed model is expected to alleviate traffic congestion at intersections, both which have no left turn pocket, and which have large left turn volume. The model is recommended to adapted for intersections spaced long among them with no near driveway.

Signal Timing Calculation Model of Transit Signal Priority using Shockwave Theory (충격파 이론을 이용한 대중교통 우선신호의 신호시간 산정모형)

  • This research suggested the traffic signal calculation model of active transit signal priority using a shockwave model. Using this signal priority timing optimization model, the shockwave area is computed under the condition of Early Green and Green Extension among active transit signal priority techniques. This study suggested the speed estimation method of backward shockwave using average travel time and intersection passing time. A shockwave area change is calculated according to signal timing change of transit signal priority. Moreover, this signal timing calculation model could determine the optimal signal priority timings to minimize intersection delay of general vehicles. A micro simulation analysis using VISSIM and its user application model ComInterface was applied. This study checked that this model could calculate the signal timings to minimize intersection delay considering saturation condition of traffic flow. In case studies using an isolated intersection, this study checked that this model could improve general vehicle delay of more over ten percentage as compared with equality reduction strategy of non-priority phases. Recently, transit priority facilities are spreading such as tram, BRT and median bus lane in Korea. This research has an important significance in that the proposed priority model is a new methodology that improve operation efficiency of signal intersection.

  • The purpose of this study was to positively examine whether people with physical disabilities participation behavior model of sport for all applying the theory of planned behavior was appropriate for explaining the participation behavior of sport for all and to investigate the effects of causality within the variables. For this study, a questionnaire was designed base on the contents of measuring total five sub variables drawn from Lee Hyun Su's(2011) via an expert conference. Through validity and reliability verification, the final questionnaire was developed. For data analysis, used PASW statistics 18.0, this study conducted Cronbach's α analysis and exploratory analysis to verify the questionnaire's validity and reliability. It also used SEM and CFA as well utilizing AMOS Ver. 7.0. The results of this study were shown below. First, according to the result of verifying the appropriateness of this study model, the model for this study was found to be appropriate since its evaluation indexes for the appropriateness of a model, such as Normed χ2, RMR, IFI, TLI, CFI, and RMSEA, satisfied the criteria for acceptance. Second, there was significantly positive (+) effect of behavioral attitudes on behavioral intention, subjective norms on behavioral intention, perceived behavioral control on behavioral intention, behavioral intention on actual behavior, and perceived behavioral control on actual behavior.

Traffic Signal Control for Oversaturated Diamond Interchanges (과포화 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 교통신호제어모형의 개발)

  • 다이아몬드형 인터체인지는 고속도로와 노면가로가 교차할 경우 방향별 교통류를 처리하는데 보편적으로 사용하는 인터체인지이다. 인터체인지에 교통량의 부하가 과도해지 면 인터체인지내부의 교차로에서 발생한 대기차량이 종종 고속도로본선으로 역류하여 본선 의 교통소통에 문제를 야기하며 특히 고속도로의 안전에도 큰 위험요소가 된다. 본 논문은 과포화상태의 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 교통신호제어를 다루며, 신호시간계획을 산출하는 동적 최적화모형(dynamic optimization model)을 제시한다. 최적화 모형은 지체도최소화를 목적함수로 하며, 함수계측법의 형태가 된다. 본 모형의 핵심은 신호제어에 따라 발생하는 대기차량길이를 모형화하여 대기차량길이가 정해진 상한치를 초과하지 않도록 하는 신호시 간계획을 산출하는데 있다. 제시된 동적모형은 다이아몬드형 인터체인지의 신호시간을 위하 여 널리 사용되는 PASSER III와 최적해를 상호 비교한다. TRAF-NETSIM을 통한 시뮬레이 션의 결과에 따르면 동적 모형이 우수한 결과를 보이며, 대기차량의 길이를 효과적으로 제 어하는 것으로 판명된다.

A Service Network Design Model for Rail Freight Transportation with Hub-and-spoke Strategy (Hub-and-spoke 운송전략을 고려한 철도화물서비스 네트워크디자인모형의 개발)

  • The Hub-and-spoke strategy is widely used in the field of transportation. According to containerization and the development of transshipment technology, it is also introduced into European rail freight transportation. The objective of this article is to develop a service network design model for rail freight transportation based on the Hub-and-spoke strategy and efficient algorithms that can be applied to large-scale network. Although this model is for strategic decision, it includes not only general operational cost but also time-delay cost. The non-linearity of objective function due to time-delay factor is transformed into linearity by establishing train service variables by frequency. To solve large scale problem, this model used a heuristic method based on decomposition and three newly-developed algorithms. The new algorithms were examined with respect to four test problems base on the actual network of European rail freight and discussed the accuracy of solutions and the efficiency of proposed algorithms.

Analysis of Alteration for Water Level and Velocity in Tidal Artificial Lake Installed Water Gate and Adoption of Proper Channel Width (적정 수로 폭의 선정과 수문이 설치된 인공 해수호수의 수위 및 유속의 변화 분석)

  • Tidal artificial lake capable of inflow and outflow of seawater is planned for waterfront and eco-friendly space at Songdo, Incheon, Korea. This study for hydrodynamic behaviors of tidal artificial lake was carried out and predicted about water level and velocity within the lake corresponding to width of channel or waterway using by 1 dimensional numerical model(CEA) and 2 dimensional numerical model(FLOW2DH). As a result, the proper width, 100.0m of the channel between the lake and the open sea was calculated reasonable conclusions such as tidal phase lag and maximum velocity from CEA. Also, water level and velocity of each point within the lake was predicted and compared to the measured data from FLOW2DH. FLOW2DH was added to the gate control case for maintenance and administration purpose of the lake and obtained the results that the velocity was decreased by approximately 20% at flood and 50% at ebb than the case without gate control.

교통망 신뢰성을 고려한 운전자 통행행태모형

  • 일시적인 행사, 도로공사 또는 교통사고로 인해 도로용량이 저하되거나 도로가 폐쇄되는 경우, 운전자들은 당초 자신이 원하는 시간에 목적지에 도달하지 못함에 따라 스케쥴 지체를 경험하게 된다. 이는 교통망의 신뢰성이 저하됨으로서 발생하는 것으로 이들 비 반복적인 혼잡요소들을 운전자의 경로선택행위에 포함시킬 필요가 있다. 이런 측면에서 본 연구에서는 기존 교통분야에서 소홀히 다루었던 신뢰성이라는 개념을 운전자 행태모형에 도입하는 방안을 제시코자 한다.

  • 확산-유추 지형학적 순간단위도는 통계물리적인 모형으로 이론적 물리적으로 뛰어난 모형임에도 불구하고 유역의 동적 매개변수인 특성유속과 확산계수의 산정이 어려워 실제적인 사용이 제한되어 왔다. 이러한 난제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 금강수계의 보청천 산성유역을 대상으로 전역최적화 기법인 SCE-UA를 이용하여 확산-유추 지형학적 순간단위도 모형의 동적 매개변수 산정하였으며, 모형의 재현성을 3개의 수문사상을 이용하여 검토하였다. 매개변수의 최적화 결과 차수 단계별 특성유속 및 확산계수의 증감은 변동을 보이지만, 전체적인 경향성은 특성유속의 경우 하천차수가 커질수록, 즉 하류방향에 대해 증가 경향을 나타내며, 반대로 확산계수는 감소되는 경향을 나타냈다. 본 연구에서 적용한 최적화 방법에 향후 지체시간, 분산 및 왜곡도 등의 통계적인 제약조건과 동적 매개변수의 공간적 변화 등의 물리적인 의미를 갖는 제약조건 등이 결합된다면 좀 더 발전된 모형으로 개선될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

An Analysis of Diversion Rate by The types of Display and The levels of Delay on VMS (Variable Message Sign) (가변안내표지판 메시지 표출형식 및 지체수준 별 운전자 우회율 분석 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyze the diversion rate by the levels of delay and the types of display. For this study, we developed the logit model by analyzing the result of SP survey of drivers who have driver's licence after manipulating a virtual driving simulator. The result of analysis was that the types of display was not statistically significant to the diversion rate. On the other hand, the levels of delay was very meaningful factor with the diversion rate. When the main road was flowing smoothly, drivers started to detour at the levels of delay 125% under the traffic free flow state. Similarly, when the levels of delay got worse, the diversion rate kept the same percentage as it was at the levels of delay 125% state which represented a smooth road condition. Likewise, when the main road's traffic flow was slow, drivers appeared to make detours at the same state of the levels of delay 125%. It was found that as the levels of delay got worse, the diversion rose higher than the diversion rate at the condition of slow traffic flow situation with the levels of delay 125%. The result of this study suggests the criterion of drivers detour point. For the conclusion, the result of study would be a reasonable reference for establishing transportation strategies by reflecting drivers' detouring property and would improve the efficiency of traffic flow.
