마을건강원의 개념은 단순하나. 그 의의는 크다고 말할 수 있다. 마을건강원이란 자기가 살고 있는 지역사회에서 일할 수 있도록 단기간의 훈련을 받은후 보건의병체계와 밀접한 관계를 가지고 자기 지역사회 주민을 위하여 봉사하는 사람을 지칭한다. 우리나라에서 마을건강원이란 용어로 이 같은 유의 요원을 최초로 호칭한 것은 1977-1980년간에 한국보건 개발연구원(한국인구보건연구원의 전신)이 농촌지역에서 지역사회보건사업을 전개할 당시부터라고할 수 있다. 물론 이전에도 이와 비슷한 명칭이 없었던 것은 아니다. 예를 들면 가정건강요원(연세의대), 마을보건임원(이화의대), 그리고 마을건강요원(여수병원) 등을 열거할 수 있겠다.

한국여성단체협의회가 매년 희생적봉사자로서 지역사회개발에 헌신한 여성들에게 주는 용신 봉사상수상자가 금년엔 아홉번째로 본회가 추천한 현재 국립소록도병원 간호과장으로 일하는 이금봉 회원에게 돌아가 개인의 보람은 물론 간호계의 큰 영광을 가져왔다.

지역사회교정은 기존의 시설내처우와 대비되는 개념으로 형사절차 전반에 지역사회가 개입하여 사회내처우를 실행하는 것이다. 이는 시설내처우가 지닌 과밀 수용, 교정 프로그램의 효율성, 범죄의 학습화 등의 문제점을 극복하고 범죄자들의 진정한 사회복귀를 도모할 수 있는 방법으로 인식되고 있기 때문이다. 하지만 지역사회교정 또한 많은 문제점들을 가지고 있어 이에 대한 해결책의 연구가 필요하다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 문제인식에 기인해서 지역사회교정의 개념과 문제점들에 대해 살펴보고 이의 대안을 제시하였다. 지역사회교정의 활성화를 위해서는 담당기관 및 인력의 확충 및 담당 직원의 세심한 채용 및 지속적인 관리를 통해 전문화를 유도하며, 전문 프로그램을 수행할 수 있는 민간봉사자와의 네트워크 구축이 필요하며, 지역기관, 지자체, 관계 당국 간의 이해와 협조가 반드시 필요하게 될 것이다. 이와 함께 지역사회교정의 실천단계에 있어 발생될 수 있는 많은 문제점들에 대한 객관적이고 실증적인 후속 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

As a 'Senior Citizen' by applying an active theory based on a role model, elderly volunteers may seek to impart health to the local communities through volunteer activities. In addition, the strategies for promoting the elderly participation volunteering actions may apply with the lifelong education/learning model for citizenship development, which intends to expand the elder volunteer activity participants and the areas of volunteering actions. In this study, we attempted to find out how volunteering fieldworkers experience and perceive volunteer-promoting strategies for senior volunteers drawn from previous literatures and studies on promoting elderly volunteer actions. For the purpose of the study, we conducted in-depth interviews with 12 fieldworkers who worked senior-welfare centers and volunteer centers in Seoul and Kyeong-gi area. We used the directed-content analysis, which categorized 12 themes/categories commonly mentioned from previous literatures and studies. Within these categories, the analysis was made to derive issues and improve promoting strategies specified from the interviewees. The outcomes of the study included the insights regarding what promoting-strategies might be necessary to enrich existing senior volunteer actions. The study highlighted not only reviews volunteer fieldworkers' current experiences with senior volunteers but also barrier and practical suggestions for the continuous advances of senior volunteer programs and strategies.

본 연구(硏究) 보고서(報告書)는 중앙대학교(中央大學校) 부설(附設) 사회복지관(社會福祉館) 운영(運營)의 합리성(合理性)과 그 기능(機能)의 고찰(考察)을 중심(中心)으로 하여 저소득층(低所得層)에 있어서 사회복지관(社會福祉館)의 역할(役割)과 그 봉사활동(奉仕活動)의 내용(內容)이 어떠해야만 한다는 가설(假說)과 합리성(合理性)을 개최(開催)하는 동시(同時)에 금반(今般) 이스라엘, 예루살렘에서 1978년 8월 14일부터 8월 18일까지 개최(開催)하는 국제사회사업(國際社會事業) 대학협의회(大學協議會) 설립(設立) 50주년(周年) 기념학술대회(記念學術大會)에서 본(本) 연구보고서(硏究報告書)를 발표(發表)하도록 의뢰함으로써 그에 준(準)하여 작성(作成)하였으며 동시(同時)에 영문(英文)으로 기재하였다. 본 부설(附設) 사회복지관(社會福祉館)의 운영(運營)의 월지(越旨)와 목적(目的)은 아래와 같이 요약(要約)하고자 한다. 복지사회(福祉社會) 건설(建設)이라는 시대적(時代的)이며 전국적(全國的)인 여망(與望)에 부응(副應)하여 대학(大學)은 그 선도적(先導的) 역할(役割)을 담당하고 인간(人間)의 존엄성(尊嚴性)과 생존(生存)의 교리(?利)를 주장할 뿐만 아니라 국가부흥(國家復興)의 80년대(年代)를 향한 복지시책(福祉施策)의 기를 공고(鞏固)히 하고 사회사업(社會事業)의 토착화(土着化) 내지(內至) 자주성(自主性)을 확립(確立)해야 한다는 철학적(哲學的) 사명(使命)을 다하여야 하기에 본(本) 중앙대학교(中央大學校) 사회사업학과(社會事業學科)에서는 그러한 시범사업(示範事業)의 일환(一環)으로 본(本) 대학교(大學校)가 위치(位置)하고 있는 인근지역(隣近地域)에 사회복지관(社會福祉館)을 설립(設立)하고 다음의 세가지 목적(目的)을 달성하고저 광범(廣範)한 사업(事業)을 계획(計劃), 전개(展開)하고 있다. 1. 사회사업학(社會事業學)은 이론(理論)과 실제(實際)의 긴밀한 연계(連繫)가 강조되는 학문(學問)으로서 학생(學生)들의 실습(實習)을 교수(敎授)가 직접적으로 지도(指導), 감독(監督)함으로써 사회사업(社會事業)의 전문생(專門生)을 개발(開發)내지 발전(發展)시켜 나가야 한다. 2. 직접봉사(直接奉仕)와 학구적(學究的) 실험(實驗)을 통하여 새로운 봉사기술(奉仕技術)과 사업계획(事業計劃)을 개발(開發)하고 정립(定立)시킴으로써 국가적(國家的) 차원(次元)에서 실제분야(實際分野)에 직접 응용(應用)되도록 하여야 한다. 3. 대학(大學)이 위치(位置)하고 있는 인근지역(隣近地域), 특히 영세주민((零)細住民)들의 욕구(慾求)에 따라서 적절(適切)한 봉사(奉仕)를 직접 제공(提供)하여 줌으로써 지역사회문제(地域社會問題) 해결(解決) 참여(參與)하여야 한다. 4. 사업내용(事業內容) 위의 목적(目的)을 달성(達成)하기 위하여 다음과 같은 사업(事業)을 한다. The purpose of this study is to develop convergence major-based learning (CMBL), which selects performance tasks related to local problems at hand and solves them based on convergence major performance, and builds a suitable teaching and learning model. We developed a CMBL class with a team project-type class that finds and solves practical problems in the region to cultivate overall problem-solving capabilities for convergence major competencies. Additionally, for this class, the instructor played a role as a bridgehead to explore and connect the community's sites, and students visited connected institutions in person to identify problems they need based on understanding and empathy for the subjects through field observation and qualitative interviews, and developed a CMBL class teaching and learning model necessary to directly solve them by using their major capabilities to the fullest. Therefore, we intend to present the future-oriented direction of university convergence education required by the community by forming a group of students with various majors to cultivate the ability to solve realistic problems in the community.

The purpose of this study is to consider the effect of the volunteer participation motivation of the elderly on the convergence formation of the social capital. This study is based on the quantitative research of 390 older adults who have participated on the volunteer programs run by welfare center and culture center for the elderly at Incheon area. The results are as follows. First, social responsibility and self-realization (independent variables) have effect on social trust(dependent variable). Second, self-realization(independent variable) has effect on social participation(dependent variable). Third, but social activity(independent variables) have not effect on social trust and social participation(dependent variable). This study can be use to propose policies related to the social activity for the elder's good life.

The purpose of this study is to examine the motivation of elderly people to participate in volunteer activities and to analyze the effect of participation motivation on satisfaction with volunteer activities of them. The 297 questionnaires which were collected from persons over 60 years old who were doing voluntary service activity in welfare center for the aged, Silver police in Goyang and Paju city. The frequency, factor and regression analysis were used for the research. The results are as follows: First, the motivations to participate in volunteer activities had four factors: self-realization, social activities, social responsibility, and personal achievements, and these factors had positive effect on satisfaction with volunteer activities. Second, the motivation to participation in volunteer activities and the degree of satisfaction with them were found to be different in accordance with age, education, income, religion and health.

The purpose of this study is to understand volunteer work experiences of senior citizen volunteers serving in the welfare center in K district in the aspect of an insider and to apprehend the meaning. The objects of this study are fifteen senior citizen volunteers and two social workers who do volunteer works in the welfare center, and this study utilized the qualitative study method through observations and in-depth interviews from 2009.09.02 to 2009.10.21. The data analysis is processed by the qualitative analysis program, Nvivo 2.0, and the processed data are analyzed in accordance with the grounded theories of Strauss and Corbin. As a result of reviewing data, the meanings about volunteer work experiences of senior citizens are induced as eight factors; senior citizens' identity in an old aging society, desire fulfillment through volunteer works by senior citizens, various leisure activities to help their health in mind and body, acceptance attitude about aging, mental supports from their families, finding activities suitable for each person's personality and capability, changes of perception about the handicapped, and endeavors to spend meaningful old age. Through results and discussion obtained by this study, the conclusion is as below: First, participation induction factors are identities of elderly people in aging society, acceptance attitudes toward aging and emotional support from families in the matter of senior citizens' volunteer work. Second, programs suitable for individual aptitude and capability should be implemented for activating senior citizens' volunteer work. Third, participation in senior citizens' volunteer work indicates desire satisfaction through senior citizens' volunteer work, leisure activities helping health for body and mind, and life changes such as changes of perception about handicapped people etc.

공공도서관은 인구통계적, 경제적, 자연적, 기술적, 정치적 환경속에서 지역사회 정보제공과 평생교육의 책임을 가진다. 공공도서관의 홈페이지를 통한 커뮤니케이션으로 행정, 생활, 지역문화, 교육, 직업정보 등을 제공 받을 수 있다. 공공도서관은 지역사회 정보문화센터로 평생교육 프로그램을 제공한다. 공공도서관의 핵심적 교육은 신직종 개발을 위한 프로그램을 안내하고 21C 첨단 유망직종을 소개하며 DB를 통한 취업정보, 직무교육 등 정보교환이 가능할 수 있도록 정보서비스를 확대해야 할 것이다.
