  • Knowledge management was introduced as a new strategy in many construction companies aiming at paradigm shift since Asian financial Crisis. However, intensive focusing on acquiring and sharing knowledge couldn't keep pace with the primary goal. Increasing financial profits. That is because clear strategic process and performance measurement are absent in time of the introduction of knowledge management. Based on case analysis in domestic construction industry, this research work presents an alternative plan on Balanced Scorecard(BSC) model. The objective of this study is to develop a model of strategic performance measurement in knowledge management by sorting and grasping core operational knowledge, which can draw key performance indicators accompanied by knowledge map from case study.

  • Despite many theoretical and empirical studies, general causality between IPRs system, firm technological innovation and financial performance is not clear. This study notices that the core factor to create financial performance is different by each industry. The study analyzed the effect of IPRs system on innovation and economic growth targeting 3 industries; pharmaceutical industry to which the basic track of creating performance is applied (strengthening IPRs${\rightarrow}$increasing R&D input/output${\rightarrow}$increasing sales); semiconductor industry where the relationship between stronger IPRs and R&D input/output is weak; and shipbuilding industry which has weak correlation between R&D and sales. It used panel data for 15 years since TRIPs when the patent institution in Korea reached up to the level of advanced countries, and applied the dynamic regression model which estimates the fixed effect model with difference-GMM. As a result, stronger IPRs increased R&D input/output, and financial performance in pharmaceutical industry, but has no influence on semiconductor and shipbuilding industries. That is, it is necessary to customize the construction of system and policy for strengthening IPRs by each industry, and unitary strengthening or weakening may have no significant impact on financial performance improvement in specific sectors.

  • The smart factory is an important axis of the 4th industrial revolution. Smart factory is a system that induces the maximum efficiency and effectiveness of production using the IoT and intelligent sensing systems. The product lifecycle management technique is a method that can actively reflect the consumer's requirements in the smart factory and manage the entire process from the consumer to the post management. There have been many studies on product lifecycle management, but studies on how to organize product lifecycle management knowledge domains in preparation for the era of the 4th industrial revolution were insufficient. This study analyzed the opinions of a group of experts preparing for the 4th industrial revolution in terms of product lifecycle management. The impact of the 4th industrial revolution on the detailed knowledge areas of product lifecycle management was investigated. The changes in product lifecycle management were summarized using a qualitative data analysis technique for a group of experts. Based on the opinions of experts, the product lifecycle management, which consists of a total of 30 detailed knowledge areas, was prepared to supplement or prepare for the 4th industrial revolution. This study investigates changes in product lifecycle management in preparation for the 4th industrial revolution in the knowledge domain of the existing defined product life cycle management. In future research, it is necessary to redefine the knowledge domain of product life cycle management suitable for the era of the 4th industrial revolution and investigate the perception of experts. 산업구조의 변화를 고려하여 Pavitt이 제시한 4개의 산업 유형은 1)공급자 지배형(Supplier dominated), 2)규모 집약형(Scale intensive), 3)전문 공급자형 (Specialized suppliers), 4)화학 기반형(Chemical science based), 5)생명과학 기반형(Bio-science based), 6)정보과학 기반형 (Information science based)의 6개로 확장되었다.
