A Study on Knowledge Unit for High-Performance Computing in Computational Science (계산과학분야의 고성능컴퓨팅에 관한 지식단위 연구)

  • Computational science is at an early stage and is not yet fully active, and the high-performance computing required in the field of computational science is at present a special subject of parallel and distributed computing in computer science. Additionally, there are too few education courses which teach high-performance computing from basic to advanced levels. In this study, we derive the knowledge units needed to learn high-performance computing, an important research tool in computational science. Using ACM the Computer Science Curricula 2013 (CS2013), we examine the validity and reliability of 89 knowledge units and eleven knowledge units with high validity and reliability, after which nine core knowledge units and two optional knowledge units are proposed. The eleven proposed knowledge units are expected to contribute to the development of the high-performance computing curriculum necessary to teach computational science.

Promoting Innovations through Knowledge Management in a Regional Industrial Cluster (산업클러스터 단위에서의 지식경영을 통한 기업의 혁신 촉진 방안 연구)

  • In this study, the possibility of the application of knowledge management concept in a unit of regional industrial cluster is explored based on diverse case studies. For this purpose, a new framework for knowledge management strategies in an industrial cluster was developed and a model of Knowledge Hub was suggested for the support of integrated knowledge management in an industrial cluster. Additionally, characteristics of Knowledge Hub that should be considered in the design of the Hub are discussed. The concept of Knowledge Hub in this study could be particularly useful for the promotion of innovations in linking clusters and provincial industrial clusters.

  • This study attempts to develop an analysis method on future skills needs for emerging new knowledge on the basis of technology outlook and patent analysis. It will extract knowledge base of patent classification for secondary battery, and will demonstrate that the density and centrality of knowledge base can be changed according to the paradigm shift of battery industry. Furthermore, on the basis of that, it will execute diagnosis on current related curriculum and present necessary improvement items of curriculum. This study tries not only to raise the utilizing level of patent analysis by demonstrating how patent analysis is used in future skills needs analysis, but also to advance the analysis method for future skills needs.

Procedural Entity Extraction for Procedural Knowledge on Medline Abstracts (의료 문헌에서의 절차적 지식 추출을 위한 단위 절차 추출 연구)

  • 본 연구는 2인의 전문의와 함께 의료 문헌의 초록을 분석하여 의료문서에서의 절차적 지식을 모델링하고 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 적용하여 절차적 지식을 추출하는 방법론에 대해 기술한다. 절차적 지식은 목적과 해법의 묶음으로, 해법은 다시 단위 절차 지식의 네트워크로 정의 하였고, 목적과 해법 정보 추출과 단위 절차 지식의 구성요소인 대상/행위/방법 개체를 인식하기 위해, 품사태깅, 구문분석, 술어-논항구조(Predicate-Argument Structure), 온톨로지 용어 매핑 정보 등에 기반한 기계학습 방법을 사용하였다. 실험을 위해 전문의와 함께 위함과 척추질환에 대한 1309 문서에 절차적 지식 태깅을 수행하였고, 이 문서 집합을 기반으로 목적/해법 추출 작업과 단위 절차 지식(대상질병/행위/적용방법) 추출 실험을 수행하여, 각각 82% 와 63%의 F-measure 값을 얻을 수 있었다.

A case study on the quadratic function problem solving process of middle school students with different unit coordination stages (단위 조정 단계가 다른 중학생의 이차함수 문제 해결 과정에서 나타나는 특징)

  • The purpose of the current study is to report a part of our larger project whose focus is to understand a relationship between students' units coordination and K-12 school mathematics. In particular, in this paper we report how students who exhibit distinct levels of units coordinations used their knowledge of proportion to solve quadratic function problems of the form y = ax2. To this end, three 7th grade students all of whom assimiliated whole number problem situations with three levels of units but showed different levels for fraction problems were chosen. We carried out clinical interviews not only to understand their ability to coordinate units but to understand their problem solving process of proportion and the quadratic function problems. The analysis suggest that their abilities to coordinate units influenced their ways to solving proportion problems, and in turn influenced their ways to solve the specific form of quadratic functions. We have finalized our study by discussing how students' ability to construct and coordinate units, their proportion knowledge, and their knowledge associated with expressing the specific type of quadractic functions could be related.

Exploratory Study on the Specification of Content Knowledge Formation - Based on Analysis of University Writing Textbooks - (글쓰기 내용지식 구성의 세분화에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 대학 글쓰기교재 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • The aim of this study was to subdivide and present the units and the standards of knowledge integration in creating the students' integrated knowledge from content knowledge in college writing classes. For these, it analyzed three typical writing textbooks being used in colleges and examined the ways of presentation on forming integrated knowledge by text qualitative analysis methods. The analysis procedure and the presentation followed Creswell's spiral analysis model It is a method model which repeats the procedure from material collection and analysis to presentation circularly. This examination illustrates three dimensions of the units in forming content knowledge. Also, it suggested those should be all treated for the more systematic education: the units of the whole text, the paragraphs, and the sentences. In the next chapter, the standards and contents of knowledge integration were suggested in each process. For the process of knowledge selection, the suitability and the contradictoriness between the text materials and author's thesis were proposed as the standards and contents. For the process of organization and integration, the corresponsive integration, contradictive integration, background integration, synthetic integration were suggested. Finally the procedure knowledge such as correct expression and spelling, source indication were shown for the process of expression and citation. Furthermore, it showed, in terms of expression, the process of paraphrasing frequently practiced in writing textbooks needs to be exercised in the three dimensions including summarization, connection, and interpretation(or transformation). This result, however, calls for the further study about the subdividing processes to enhance the adequateness to writing textbooks in the level of universities and for a more refined syllabus on the systematic knowledge integration. Accordingly, it suggested the tasks mentioned above for further study.

Exploring Teachers' Knowledge of Partitive Fraction Division (교사들의 등분제 분수 나눗셈 지식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate middle grades (Grade 5-7) mathematics teachers' knowledge of partitive fraction division. The data were derived from a part of 40-hour professional development course on fractions, decimals, and proportions with 13 in-service teachers. In this study, I attempted to develop a model of teachers' way of knowing partitive fraction division in terms of two knowledge components: knowledge of units and partitioning operations. As a result, teachers' capacities to deal with a sharing division problem situation where the dividend and the divisor were relatively prime differed with regard to the two components. Teachers who reasoned with only two levels of units were limited in that the two-level structure they used did not show how much of one unit one person would get whereas teachers with three levels of units indicated more flexibilities in solving processes.

  • Industrial cluster is basically related to the concept of knowledge management in that innovations are pursued through knowledge sharing and knowledge exchanges in the level of related industries or adjacent regions. Recently, assertions that knowledge management is worth of application in the level of an industry or regional industrial cluster appear in academics and practitioners. This study explores the characteristics and challenges of knowledge management when it is applied in the level of an industrial cluster. Critical concepts and research questions are developed from the review on previous studies and explored through interpretive case studies and in-depth interviews.

  • 본 연구는 기존 IS 연구 분야에 있어서 지식경영연구의 주된 연구 방향은 무엇인지, 그리고 기존의 지식경영연구들이 다루고 있는 지식경영의 특성과 내용에 따른 지식타입은 어떤 종류가 있는지를 연구 분류 프레임워크를 적용하여 알아보았다. 기존의 산발적인 지식경영 연구의 분류 방법론을 종합한 연구 분류 프레임워크에 준하여, 지식경영 연구의 국내외 주요 학술지 6종을 선정하여 1999년 이후 5년간의 추이를 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 연구 분류 프레임워크의 세 가지의 대 분류인 지식경영 프로세스, 지식변환 형태, 그리고 지식경영 연구 분석단위로 본 지식경영 연구는 조직 내 지식활용 프로세스에 대한 연구가 가장 많이 이루어졌고, 그 뒤로 조직 간 및 개인 지식활용 프로세스 연구, 조직 간 및 조직 내 지식전이 및 공유 프로세스 순으로 지식경영 연구가 수행된 것으로 나타났다. 한편 지식활용프로세스이외의 개인 분석단위의 연구와 지식창조 프로세스에 대한 연구는 전반적으로 거의 수행되지 않은 결과를 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로 지식경영 관련 연구들에서 나타나는 연구의 최근 경향을 밝혀내고, 향후 지식경영 연구에 있어서 기초연구로서의 역할과 균형적 연구 발전 방향에 대한 제시를 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 논문은 한국어를 대상으로 하는 자연언어 처리 시스템을 개발하는데 있어서 기초가 되는 지식베이스의 구축에 대하여 논한다. 한국어의 일반문에서 단문을 분리해 내기 위하여 형태소 해석의 결과로부터 도출한 구 단위를 한-일 기계번역 시스템의 구문, 의미 해석기(VCPN) 을 적용하여 절단위로 결합한다. 그리고 이들 단위절에 대하여 대명사의 조응관계, 생략에의 재생을 위한 추론, 부정어, 시제일치 등을 처리하여 논리적 지식베이스를 구성하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문은 입력문장에 제한을 두지 않고 단문으로부터 장문에 이르기까지 광범위한 일반문을 대상으로 하여 Horn Clause 이론을 확장한다.
