  • Recently smartphone market is rapidly growing and application market has also grown significantly. Mobile applications have been provided in various forms, such as education, game, SNS, weather and news. And It is distributed through a variety of distribution channels. Malicious applications deployed with malicious objectives are growing as well as applications that can be useful in everyday life well. In this study, Events from a malicious application that is provided by the normal application deployment and Android MalGenome Project through the open market were extracted and analyzed. And using the results, We create a model to determine whether the application is malicious. Finally, model was evaluated using a variety of statistical method.

  • 본 논문에서는 응급상황 발생 시, 응급 처치가 가능한 주변 사용자에게 알람을 보내 구급대원이 오기 전까지 응급 구조를 원활하게 도와주는 안드로이드 애플리케이션 시스템 구현 결과를 보인다. Google Map API를 이용하여 사용자의 위치를 실시간으로 지도에 표시한다. 그리고 FireBase Cloud Messaging API를 이용하여 애플리케이션 이용자들에게 알람을 보낸다. 또한, WebRTC API를 이용하여 애플리케이션 안에서 음성 및 영상 통화를 할 수 있다. 애플리케이션을 켜지 않아도 위젯을 활용하여 응급상황을 신고할 수 있도록 하여 애플리케이션의 활용성을 높였다.

  • 배달 애플리케이션과 지도 애플리케이션의 발달은 가게 이용에 많은 편리함을 가져왔지만, 푸드트럭, 포장마차와 같은 길거리 점포는 이러한 혜택의 사각지대로 이용에 많은 불편함이 남아있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 길거리 점포의 특성에 맞춘 위치기반 점포 관리 및 정보 제공애플리케이션을 설계하였다. 이에 이용자들이 보다 편리하게 길거리 점포를 이용할 수 있게 되기를 기대한다.

Contents Analysis of Vocabulary Learning Game Application on Smart-Phone and Tablet PC for Young Children's Language Learning (유아 언어학습용 단어게임 애플리케이션 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was firstly, to evaluate the contents of vocabulary game applications for young children's language learning. and secondly, to examine whether there is any differences between Korean and English word games in terms of the evaluation score. For this purpose, the word game applications in smart phone and tablet PC were analyzed, which included 30 Korean word games and another 30 English ones. The criteria to evaluate the contents were developed based on Children's Software Evaluation Instrument developed by CTR, the multimedia evaluation standard by Hee Sook Park, Young Joo Lee, and mobile contents evaluation standard by Soo Ui Choi. As a result, the educational value got the highest score whereas the design characteristics area got the lowest score in the whole evaluation analysis. And English word game applications mostly got higher score than Korean versions. The result of this study would suggest the way to evaluate educational game applications in use and to contribute to developing educational game contents aimed at young children's language learning.

Analyzing Impact Factors of User Resistance to Accepting Paid Mobile Application (유료 모바일 애플리케이션 수용 저항 요인에 관한 분석)

  • While the mobile application market is growing fast, the revenues of the majority apps are declining. Moreover, paid mobile application prices and purchases have been slow because of intensifying competition. However, the conventional studies focused only on the acceptance factor of mobile applications, so they cannot explain the phenomenon such as acceptance resistance for paid mobile applications. Therefore, our study tries to analyze the factors for the acceptance resistance of users for paid mobile applications. The research model in this paper, which is based on S-O-R model, verified through surveys how social influence and app characteristics affect user perception and how user perception affects to app resistance. The results of our study showed that paid mobile applications happened to be destroyed in front of the chasm because of the perceived loss. Consequently, the results implicate that the developers should lower the initial price and actively react to the negative reviews in order to lower the perceived loss. Moreover, the results verified that a sense of self-efficacy can lower application acceptance resistance by including personal properties to our research model as control variables.

A Performance Analysis Based on Hadoop Application's Characteristics in Cloud Computing (클라우드 컴퓨팅에서 Hadoop 애플리케이션 특성에 따른 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we implement a Hadoop based cluster for cloud computing and evaluate the performance of this cluster based on application characteristics by executing RandomTextWriter, WordCount, and PI applications. A RandomTextWriter creates given amount of random words and stores them in the HDFS(Hadoop Distributed File System). A WordCount reads an input file and determines the frequency of a given word per block unit. PI application induces PI value using the Monte Carlo law. During simulation, we investigate the effect of data block size and the number of replications on the execution time of applications. Through simulation, we have confirmed that the execution time of RandomTextWriter was proportional to the number of replications. However, the execution time of WordCount and PI were not affected by the number of replications. Moreover, the execution time of WordCount was optimum when the block size was 64~256MB. Therefore, these results show that the performance of cloud computing system can be enhanced by using a scheduling scheme that considers application's characteristics.

Word Cluster-based Mobile Application Categorization (단어 군집 기반 모바일 애플리케이션 범주화)

  • In this paper, we propose a mobile application categorization method using word cluster information. Because the mobile application description can be shortly written, the proposed method utilizes the word cluster seeds as well as the words in the mobile application description, as categorization features. For the fragmented categories of the mobile applications, the proposed method generates the word clusters by applying the frequency of word occurrence per category to K-means clustering algorithm. Since the mobile application description can include some paragraphs unrelated to the categorization, such as installation specifications, the proposed method uses some word clusters useful for the categorization. Experiments show that the proposed method improves the recall (5.65%) by using the word cluster information.

  • 반려동물을 입양하는 가구수는 매년 증가하고 있고 반려인과 반려동물들의 길거리 치안은 위협받고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 반려인이 반려동물과 함께 안전한 외출을 할 수 있도록 '반려동물과 함께하는 안심산책 지도' 애플리케이션을 제안한다. 본 연구의 애플리케이션은 Geofence API를 사용해 안심등급을 산출하여 반려인들과 반려동물을 보다 안전한 환경에 있도록 한다.

  • The ability of offering various and abundant mobile applications has emerged as the knowledge of the smartphone has grown in the smartphone market. The mobile application market has emerged as a competitive new market with enormous potential. Although many users download paid or free mobile applications through the app markets such as the Appstore, there is no significant research regarding customer's application purchase yet. Hence, we refer to the purchase motivation of mobile applications among experienced users who have bought paid applications. We conducted the interview with 30 users and suggest four categories of applications (productivity, entertainment, information, and social networking) and also classify the purchase intentions on each category based on the ground theory. The comparison analysis of the interview provides us what factors affect the application purchase. This framework may advance effective mobile application business model development, implicate the strategy for boosting mobile application market.
