Intelligent Immigration Control System by Using Passport Recognition and Face Verification (여권 인식과 얼굴 인증을 이용한 지능형 출입국 관리 시스템)

  • 본 논문에서는 출입국자 관리의 효율성과 체계적인 출입국 관리를 위하여 여권 코드를 자동으로 인식하고 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 지능형 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 지능형 여권 인식 시스템은 여권 영상에서 경계선 검출 및 수평 최소값 필터 등을 적용하여 코드의 문자열 영역을 추출하고 기울어진 각도를 보정하였다. 검출된 코드 문자열의 인식을 위해 새로운 ART 알고리즘을 제안하여 적용하였고 휴리스틱 방법을 이용하여 인식 결과를 보정한 후 이 인식 결과를 바탕으로 여권 소지자의 사진 및 관련 정보를 여권 데이터베이스에서 추출하였다. 여권에서 추출된 출입국자의 사진 및 얼굴과 데이터베이스에 저장된 사진 및 얼굴과의 유사도 측정을 통하여 여권 사진의 위조 여부를 판단하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 여권 코드의 자동인식과, DB에 저장된 사진 정보를 바탕으로 얼굴 사진 영역의 인중을 통하여 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 지능형 출입국 관리 시스템을 제안하였다.

Intelligent Passport′s Face Verification System Using Face Color Analysis (얼굴 컬러 분석에 의한 지능형 여권 얼굴 인증 시스템)

  • 본 논문에서는 출입국자 관리의 효율성과 체계적인 출입국 관리를 위하여 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 지능형 여권 얼굴 인증 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 지능형 여권 얼굴 인증 시스템은 여권 이미지에서 여권 코드 문자열을 인식하여 여권 사용자의 사진 및 관련 정보를 여권 데이터베이스에서 추출한다. 추출된 출입국자의 사진 및 얼굴과 여권에 부착된 사진 및 얼굴과의 유사도 측정을 통하여 여권 사진의 위조 여부을 판단한다. 이때, 이미지의 유사도 측정을 위해서 다양한 실험을 통한 결과를 종합 분석해 본 결과 사진 영역의 인증에는 Luminance, Edge, RGB 특징이, 얼굴 영역의 인증을 위해서는 Hue, YIQ-I, YCbCr-Cb 특징이 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며 사진 영역의 유사도와 얼굴영역의 유사도가 모두 0.8이상인 경우 정상적인 여권으로 판정하고 그렇지 않은 경우 위조가 되었을 가능성이 있는 여권으로 판정하는 방법을 사용하여 FAR 3.1%, FRR 2.7%의 우수한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • Recently, interest and demand for facial information processing technology that can provide non-face-to-face identity authentication and access management service using smart devices, which is an essential environmental improvement for multi-use facilities, is increasing as a way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases worldwide and to cope with social measures. This study defines a multi-use facility classification system and applied service field to establish a continuous access control system, and measures to improve the usability of the service platform considering scalability through a dual access control system and personal/measurement information type analysis, and accordingly We would like to propose a service roadmap. In addition, it aims to improve the physical access management system service platform, which is a multi-use facility application service that requires one-time and multiple-use authentication according to usage. It is expected that the methodology of this study can be applied as a service platform of a logical access control system type in the future.

  • In case of a dangerous situation, the roof, which serves as an emergency exit, must be open in case of fire according to the Fire Act. However, when the roof door is opened, it has become a place of various incidents and accidents such as illegal entry, crime, and suicide. As a result, it is a reality to close the roof door in terms of facility management to prevent crime, various incidents, and accidents. Accordingly, the government is pushing to legislate regulations on housing construction standards, etc. that mandate the installation of electronic automatic opening and closing devices on rooftop doors. Therefore, in this paper, an intelligent emergency door opening/closing device system is proposed. To this end, an intelligent emergency door opening and closing system was developed by linking wired and wireless access counting and AI image analysis. Finally, it is possible to build a wireless communication-based integrated management platform that provides remote control and history management in a centralized method of device status real-time monitoring and event alarm.

  • There is increasing concern about security as a need for increased safety in the information industry society. However, it does not meet the needs for safety including CCTV. Therefore, in this paper, we link the processing technology using the image information to the IPS system consisting of GPS and Beacon. It designed a conventional RFID tag attached discomfort and image tracking system is limited to complement the disadvantages identifiable area. To this end, we designed a smart device and the Internet of Things convergence system and a research to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the IPS of the access control system. Finally, by leveraging intelligent video information using a PTZ camera, and set the entrant management policies it was carried out to control the situation and control. Also, by designing the integrated video tracking system, an authentication server, visualization systems were designed to establish an efficient technique for analyzing the IPS entrant behavior patterns.

Improving the Protection and Security System Outside the National Assembly Building (국회 외곽 경호·경비시스템 발전방향에 관한 연구)

  • Despite being one of the most important national facilities, the National Assembly building of the Republic of Korea has become increasingly vulnerable to potential terrorist attacks, and the instances of demonstrations occurring around and banned items taken into the building are continuing to rise. In addition, promoting the idea of "open assembly" has led to increased visitors and weakened access control. Furthermore, while there is a significant symbolic value attached to attacking the National Assembly building, the level of security management is relatively very low, making it a suitable target for terrorism. In order to address such vulnerability, an appropriate access control system should be in place from the areas surrounding the building. However, the National Assembly Security Service which oversees security around the building is scheduled to disband in June 2020 following the abolition of the conscripted police force in 2023. Therefore, there needs to be an alternative option to bolster the security system outside the facility. In this research, the perceptions of 114 government officials in charge of security at the National Assembly Secretariat toward the protection and security system of the areas surrounding the National Assembly building were examined. Results showed that the respondents believed it was highly likely that risky situations could occur outside the building, and the use of advanced technologies such as intelligent video surveillance, intrusion detection system, and drones was viewed favorably. Moreover, a mid- to long-term plan of establishing a unified three-layer protection system and designating a department in charge of the security outside the building were perceived positively. Lastly, the participants supported the idea of employing private police to replace the National Assembly Security Service for the short term and introducing parliamentary police for the mid- to long-term.

  • In recent years, to prevent the increase in accidents at industrial sites, various innovative technologies from the 4th industrial era have been incorporated into the construction administration to promote the advancement of safety management. As a result, smart safety management systems using intelligent monitoring that prevent and manage risks in industrial sites in real time are attracting attention. Smart safety management systems provide users with real-time, remote monitoring of factors such as noise, gas concentration fine dust concentration, building material quality, building tilt, and RFID-based worker access through sensors located everywhere. This paper presents a method for collecting and monitoring various data for smart safety management systems via Zigbee communication using Raspberry Pi.

  • 비디오 해석 및 추적기술은 특정한 시스템에서만 적용되는 것이 아니다. 이것은 비디오 내에서 의미 있는 정보를 능동적으로 감시 대상을 정의, 해석, 모델화, 추정 및 추적 할 수 있는 기반 기술을 의미하다. 일반적으로 감시시스템에서 감시 대상은 사람이나 차량이며, 상황에 따라 출입통제 구역으로 설정하기도 한다. 이는 연속된 영상에서 객체의 형태, 모양, 행동 분석, 움직임, 색상정보를 가지고 데이터 정의, 검출, 모델화를 통하여 인식, 식별 그리고 추적한다. 본 논문에서는 비디오 영상분석을 통해 단일카메라기반의 감시시스템과 PTZ 카메라기반 감시시스템 제안한다. 이때 단일 카메라기반의 감시는 배경생성방법을 이용하여 연속된 영상내의 객체를 지속적으로 관리가 가능하도록 설계하였고, PTZ 카메라기반의 감시는 카메라의 이동에 따른 배경안정화 방법과 카메라의 절대좌표를 활용하여 카메라 이동을 제어함과 동시에 오검출 문제를 해결하였다. 실험 및 결과분석으로는 시나리오 환경에서 배경생성방법을 이용한 검출의 정확성과 PTZ카메라 위치 변화에도 강인한 검출 결과를 비교 분석하였다.

  • It is helpful to use Intelligent Video Surveillance to replace and supplement the demerit which can possibly occur due to the mistake that can be made by human management. To accomplish this, it is essential that the system should digitalize image information from surveillance camera so that the system, itself, can be able to locate a object and to analyze the pattern of the object. Also, it is imperative that the system should have ability to operate a alarm and a entrance blocking system and to notify a situation to a security manager. Zooming a small object form a screen, however, requires a exact zooming ratio of the object and a shift of centric coordinate. In this paper, It is able to locate and observe closely a object from flexible background, regardless of the distance, by calculating a zooming ratio according to object moment, pan coordinate, and tilt coordinate.
