Determinants of User Perceived Value and Its Influence on the Usage of Smartphone-based Mobile Commerce : Focusing on Service Ubiquity and User Control (스마트폰 기반 모바일거래 이용의 지각된 이용자 가치와 이의 결정요인 : 서비스 편재성과 이용자 통제성을 중심으로)

  • This study attempts to identify user perceived value as a major predictor of the usage of smartphone-based mobile commerce(m-commerce). More specifically, the study conceptualizes user perceived value of smartphone-based m-commerce along three dimensions, such as temporal, functional, and economic values. Moreover, this study proposes service ubiquity and user control that are uniquely defining characteristics of smartphone-based m-commerce and examines how the two variables are associated with the creation of user perceived value. Using a total of 164 data collected on users of smartphone-based mcommerce, we conducted PLS analysis to test the proposed model and hypotheses. The key findings are as follows : First, it has been found that the usage of smartphone-based m-commerce is determined by the three values, such as temporal, functional, and economic values. Particularly, the results show that temporal value is the most influential variable in predicting m-commerce use. Second, the results demonstrate that service ubiquity has a significant positive effect on temporal value, whereas it has no effect on functional value. Finally, user control is positively associated with temporal and functional values. Overall, the results indicate that service ubiquity and user control considerably increase temporal value, thereby accelerating the use of smartphone-based m-commerce. Discussions and implications of the results are provided.

The Influence of Shop Crowdedness in Dining Franchise Liquor Shops upon the Perceived Values and Intent to Revisit (외식 프랜차이즈 주류 매장의 점포 혼잡성이 이용자의 지각된 가치와 재방문의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the crowdedness of dining franchise liquor shops on the perceived values and revisit intention. For this purpose, 361 customers who had visited dining franchise liquor shops located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas were surveyed, and data was analyzed using AMOS 23.0 and SPSS 23.0 statistics programs. The analyses yielded the following findings. First, a higher level of crowdedness in the shop turned out to lower the perceived value of users. Second, a higher level of perceived value resulted in a higher level of revisit intent. Third, the analysis on the mediating effect of the perceived value showed that, in the relationship between the human crowdedness and revisit intention, both practical and hedonic values had mediating effects. However, in the relationship between the spatial crowdedness and the intent of revisit, the practical value had a mediating effect, while hedonic value did not exhibit such an effect. This study is meaningful in that it is presented as a theoretical establishment and an empirical study on dining franchise liquor shops.

Effects of Service Qualities Perceived by the Pilates Users on Their Reuse Intention: A Study on Mediating Effect of Functional and Emotional Values (필라테스 이용자가 지각한 서비스 품질이 이용자의 재이용의도에 미치는 영향: 기능적 가치와 감정적 가치의 매개효과 연구)

  • This study is aimed to investigate the effects of perceived value of the users in the relationship between service qualities of the Pilates training centers, which has been recently increasing, and their reuse intention. A survey research was conducted with 487 users who used the Pilates training centers and collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 programs. The analysis results are as follows. First, service qualities perceived by the Pilates users including external service, quality of trainers, training program, and tuition fee showed significant impact on reuse intention, positively. Second, service qualities perceived by the Pilates users including external service, quality of trainers, training program, and tuition fee showed significant impact on both functional and emotional values, positively. Third, functional and emotional values perceived by the Pilates users showed significant impact on reuse intention, positively. Fourth, significant mediating effect of functional value was found in the relationship between service qualities of the Pilates training centers, which were external service, quality of trainers, training program, and tuition fee, and reuse intention. Fifth, significant mediating effect of emotional value was found in the relationship between service qualities of the Pilates training centers including training program and tuition fee, and reuse intention.

  • The main purpose of this study is to find out how perceived risk elements influence to customer's perceived value and repurchase intention in the electronic commerce environment. To achieve the goal, we set 6 sub-dimension - privacy risk, social risk, time lose risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk - based on comprehensive consideration of related studies, and established a research model included 2 factors such as perceived value and repurchase intention to measure performance in internet shopping malls. From 174 customers of the electronic commerce shopping malls survey data have been collected and analyzed based on the covariance structural model method. Firstly, four perceived risk characteristics of privacy risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk are significant effect on perceived value. Secondly, perceived value is very significantly related to repurchase intention in electronic commerce shopping malls. Consequently, we discussed the strategies to create perceived value and repurchase intention in electronic commerce environment. Also, we suggested the implications and further research directions.

  • As the popularity of single-person media content increases, We investigated the causal relationship between perceived value and intention to recommend to others. Individuality was studied on the tendency to sensation seeking and novelty seeking, which is a tendency to take boredom sensitive to monotonous and repetitive daily routines, and novelty seeking refers to new information and stimuli. The hypothesis was that high sensation seeking and high novelty seeking would perceived emotional value, epistemic value, and economic value for a single person 's media content. Hypothesis testing was performed using multiple regression analysis using SPSS21. As a result of the hypothesis test, The novelty seeking has a positive effect on emotional value, epistemic value, and economic value. Users who want to explore and enjoy new things could perceived the emotional value of having fun, fun, and sadness through single-person content, perceived a epistemic value and enjoy new information and situations as a tool to recognize new stimuli and know what they didn't know. And it could be seen that users perceive the economic value that they can enjoy at low cost or free service. The sensation seeking has a significant effect on epistemic value, but it did not affect emotional value and economic value significantly. Those who have a high tendency to sensation seeking can perceive curiosity about one-person media contents, so that they can perceive epistemic value. However, those who feel that they have not significant influence on economic value and emotional value can easily understand that expecting one's content does not feel bored by paying for a low cost or free service.

A Study of Perceived Value and Intention to Use for Car Sharing Service : Based on User Experiences Serviced by Seoul Car Sharing (차량공유 서비스에 대한 지각된 가치와 이용의향에 관한 연구 : 서울시 나눔카 서비스 이용자를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to deliver both market-practical and civil-centric political implication for sharing economy by investigating the nature of consumer-adoption for car-sharing service. With the global interest and market proliferation of the sharing economy, various service models for sharing idle resources have also been released in Korea. Particularly, in case of car sharing service, public - private partnership projects are spreading rapidly in various local governments including Seoul, along with the growing demand for alternative transportation system centering on the urban area. This study conducted an empirical study on the process of accepting the car sharing service by analyzing the data collected from users of the car sharing service "Sharing Car(Nanum Car)" of Seoul Metropolitan Government. A survey was conducted on 281 users in their twenties who are in the age of main use among the experienced users of the "Sharing Car(NaNum)" residing in Seoul. The result of analysis on the relationship between these users' perceived value and intention to use the vehicle sharing service would provide implications for establishing consumer(citizen)-centeric policies as well as market implications.

Gap Analysis of Users' Perceptions and Staffs' Expectations Regarding the Library Service Qualify, Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty : A Case Study of the National Library of Korea (이용자와 직원이 인식하는 도서관의 서비스품질과 만족도, 충성도 - 국립중앙도서관의 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzed the gap between users' perception and staff expectations on users' perceptions about dimensions of library service quality(library staff, service supports. materials and resources, and facilities and equipments), service value, user satisfaction, royalty. using newly developed model. Six hundred-fourteen users and one hundred staff members or the National Libra of Korea were participated in the survey using questionnaires. Users evaluated service quality lower but evaluated service value, satisfaction. and loyalty higher In terms of showing complaining behaviors, users were less than staffs expected. Model analysis for users and staff3 showed that service value and general satisfaction influenced on complaining behavior and loyalty. For users. only the dimension of library staff influenced significantly on the service value, satisfaction, complaining behavior, and loyalty. None of the other dimensions of the service qualify showed significant relationship to them in the case of staff expectation.

  • This study investigates the relationship between the digital music service acceptance factors on the Perceived value, and Customer Satisfaction. Remarkable points of this study are as follows. First, according to the result of the analysis of relationship between digital music service acceptance factors and perceived value, diversity of digital music products and quality of digital music system affects significantly on the perceived value. but, usability of digital music service use does not have an effect on the perceived value. Second, as the result of analysis of the relationship between digital music service acceptance factors and customer satisfaction, diversity of digital music products, usability of digital music service and quality of digital music system affects significantly on the perceived value. These finding should assist digital music marketers and academics in their understanding of building loyalty on digital music service.

  • 최근 스마트폰, 태블릿PC 등 스마트 단말기의 보급 확대로 전자책 시장이 국내외에 지속적으로 성장하고 있지만, 실상은 생각보다 더디게 진행되고 있다. 2015년 전자책 독서실태 결과 지난 1년간 전자책 독서량은 지난번 조사에 비해 0.2권 감소한 1.4권에 그쳤으며 전자책 구독층이 가장 많은 10~20대의 전자책 이용 비중도 줄었다. 이에 본 연구는 대학도서관의 전자책 서비스에 있어서 지각된 가치와 지각된 위험을 기술수용모델(TAM)에 추가하여 서비스 이용자의 수용 후 지속적 사용의도를 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해 향후 대학도서관 전자책 서비스, 더 나아가 정보서비스의 개발과 보급에 있어 유용한 시사점을 제고하고자 한다.

The Effects of the Food Service Event Users' on Attitude and Behavior Perceived Risk (외식 이벤트 이용자들의 지각 위험과 태도.행동 간의 영향 관계 연구)

  • This study aims to clear the relation between perceived risk and user's attitude and behavior toward a food service event. To accomplish this, theoretical reviews and empirical analysis were jointly carried out. For the empirical analysis, a survey was conducted from April 3 to April 6, and total 291 copies of the questionnaire were used for the statistical analysis, SPSS 15.0 and LISREL 8.30. The results of the test of the hypotheses can be summarized as follows: First, the analysis shows that there is significant difference between the perceived risk and attitude of a food service event user. The perceived risk of food service event users causes effect that is contradictory in attitude. As users' perceived risk is less, attitude improved. Second, the analysis of the relationship between user's attitude and behavior intention showed that user's attitude affected behavior intention. Therefore, under these circumstances, there should be more concern in solving perceived risk among food service event users and a special program for promoting satisfaction with an event. And food service event director should make more efforts in nutritive value, organic food, time saving, etc.
