Performance Evaluation of the Common Channel Sinalling Module in TDX-1 (TDX-1 공통선 신호 모듈 성능 평가)

  • In this paper, performance evaluation of the common channel signalling module which performs the message transfer part function of the CCITT No.7 in TDX 1 exchange is carried out. Simulation model is developed using SLAM II network nodes according to signalling mode and transrated into SLAM II statement, . The simulation results are compared with experimental results and analyzed in order to get the maximum throughput, processing delay time, bottleneck eiement. Also, in order to get the optimized structure of the CSM, simulation is performed on the vanous case, namely, change of the number of STB, change of STG bus or B bus speed, change of CSIOB, processing speed, change of the number of transfered message per one poll.

Annual Variations(2001-2010) of Phytoplankton Standing Stocks in Saemangeum Water Region (새만금 수역 식물플랑크톤 현존량의 경년(2001-2010) 변화)

  • Phytoplankton standing stocks had been researched in Saemangeum water region from 2001 to 2010 belong to the construction period of Saemangeum dike. The big change of phytoplankton standing stocks was shown, reaching 57 - 85,219 cells/ml according to the sampling seasons and stations. Inside of Saemangeum lake, a flux of fresh water and sea water made the phytoplankton standing stocks changed spatiotemporally. Meanwhile, the water bloom was frequent with continuously high standing stocks of fresh water stations and the standing stocks outside of the dike have been normal. In the long-term point of view, the standing stock did not show a big change comparing to the before and after of closing the dike(April, 2006).

  • Streaming data is a sequence of data samples that are consistently generated over time. The data distribution or concept can change over time, and this change becomes a factor to reduce the performance of a classification model. Adaptive incremental learning can maintain the classification performance by updating the current classification model with the weight adjusted according to the degree of concept drift. However, selecting the proper weight value depending on the degree of concept drift is difficult. In this paper, we propose a dynamic ensemble method based on adaptive weight adjustment according to the degree of concept drift. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method shows higher performance than the other compared methods.

  • This paper presents a temperature analysis of the chaotic behavior in the voltage controlled CMOS chaotic circuit. The circuit is based on a simple nonlinear function block which is needed for chaotic signal generation. It consists of a NFB (nonlinear function block), a level shifter and non-overlapping two-phase clock for sample and hold. By SPICE simulation, chaotic dynamics such as frequency spectra and bifurcations according to the temperature variations were analyzed. And, it was showed that the circuit can generate discrete chaotic signals within control voltage in the range from 1.2 V to 2.3 V in a specific temperature condition of $25^{\circ}C$.

  • When multi-carriers are applied to the high power amplifier(HPA) having nonlinear characteristics, the HPA output has unwanted IMD signals. The IMD signal is noise in the HPA. The magnitude and phase of the main and IMD signal of HPA output are changed as the input signal power is changed. If we know exactly the magnitude and phase characteristics of the main and IMD signal, we can design a more adequate linearizer and understand the characteristics of transistor. In this paper the magnitude and phase of the main and IMD signal of HPA output are measured and analyzed for variation of the input power.

Image Retrieval using Spatial Information and Color Changing Ratio (공간정보와 색상변화율을 이용한 영상검색)

  • In this paper, we propose a image retrieval algorithm using spatial information and color changing ratio. The proposed method extracts color regions from images by threshold $\tau$ to extract spatial information. During this process, we count extracted color regions and color changing, and these values are used to obtain color changing ratio. Image similarity between images is measured by extracted spatial information. Additively, color changing ratio makes images that has similar color changing ratio to be more higher retrieval rank. In our experiment using various natural images, we demonstrate a proposed method shows better performance than other common retrieval methods using color informations.

A New Change Detection Method Based on Macro Block Unit for Selective Video Coding (선택적 영상 부호화를 위한 매크로 블록단위의 변화영역 검출방법)

  • This paper propose a new change detection algorithm based on macro block unit for selective video coding scheme. The conventional method badly decides a macro block of unchanged region into a changed macro block due to a noise of the difference images. To solve the problem of the conventional method, we propose a new test statistic which is robust to the noise of the difference image. As shown in experimental results(Fig. 1∼3), the proposed algorithm shows more accurate segmentation results than the conventional method. Also, because the proposed detection method reduces the average numbers of changed macro block per frame to 55∼60% than the conventional method, it can improve the performance of the selective video coding at lower bit rates.

  • 현재 Lab Coating은 실험의 정확성 및 재현성을 위해 기존의 Hand Coating에서 탈피하여 Mayor Coater나 CLC(Cylindrical Laboratory Coated) 등을 사용하여 주로 진행된다. Lab Coater로는 현재 가장 진보된 장비라고 할 수 있는 CLC의 경우 속도와 metering 방식 등에서 현장과 유사한 조건을 재현할 수 있다. 그러나 CLC를 사용하여 Multi Layer C Coating을 실시할 경우 원하는 도공량을 얻기 위해서는 상당한 시간과 노력이 필요하며 특히 Triple Coating의 경 우는 더 힘 든 과정 을 거 쳐 야 한다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 도공량 변화 및 Color Formulation 변경에 의한 물성변화를 측정 하여 Triple Coating에서 두 인자가 각각의 품질에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하여 어느 정도 도공량 변화가 Color Formulation 변화에 상응하는 영향을 주는지를 파악하고자 하였다.코팅은 CLC 6000을 이용하여 실시하였으며, rod와 blade를 사용한 Triple coating을 5가 지 경우의 Color Formulation에 대하여 실시하였다. 변화시켜 코팅한 후 도공량에 따른 백지물성 관계를 분석한 결과 백색도, 평활도, 거칠음도, 투 기도,2도 trap, Set-Off, Dr${\gamma}$ pick은 총도공량과 강한 상관관계를 보였고, 광택도와 K&N은 총도공량보다는 Top 코팅량과 강한 상관 관계를 보였다. 동일한 코팅칼라를 이용하여 인쇄물성을 고찰하였다. 도공량과 물성의 그러나 동일한 코팅칼라를 사용하여 얻어진 일련의 상관성은 Color Formulation이 변경 되었을 경우 전혀 발견할 수 없었다. 즉 Triple Coating에서 코팅칼라 변경이 품질에 미치는 영향은 도공량 변화에 비해 절대적이어서 몇십%의 현을 억제하지는 못한다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we explain differences between SCM and extended SCM(SCME), and investigate how these channel models affects MIMO system level performance. System level simulation is performed according to the number of users and drifting-time intervals with SCM and SCME, respectively. The performance of SCME is slightly better than SCM since mid-paths and the drifting-time in SCME causes more fluctuations in MIMO channels.

  • Thermal reactions by infrared radiation brings about physical damage by temperature rise process or temperature drop process of the material. In this study, a measuring system was set up to measure the temperature rise of each sample by infrared radiation from light source. And the temperature rise of the samples and amount of infrared radiation by various light source were measured with varying irradiance. On the basis of the result from the test, we analyzed a functional relation between infrared and infrared radiation.
