  • Smart Factory refers to a factory that can be controlled by itself with an intelligent factory that improves productivity, quality and customer satisfaction by combining the entire process of manufacturing and production with digital automation solutions. The manufacturing industry around the world is rapidly changing, with Germany, Europe, and the United States at the center. In order to cope with such changes, the Korean government is also implementing a policy to spread the supply of smart factories for small and medium-sized companies, and related ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of SMEs and Venture Business, the Korea Institute of Technology and Information Promotion, and local technoparks, as well as large companies such as Samsung, SK and LG are actively investing in smart manufacturing projects to support smart factories[1]. Factory Automation (FA) construction has many issues regarding the connection of heterogeneous equipment. The most difficult aspect of configuring various communications from various equipment is the reason. Although it may not be known if there are standards or products made up of the same company, it is not easy to build equipment that is old, up-to-date, and different use environments through a series of communications. To solve this problem, we would like to propose a method of communication using Modbus, one of FieldBus, which is one of the many industrial devices of PLC, a representative facility control system, and is used as a communication standard.

Data was collected from 256 successors and HR managers(128 for each) in South Korean family businesses where the succession process either had been completed or was currently underway around time of data collected and analyzed. Our results indicate that the provision of successor training is positively related to organizational performance, while the clarity of the incumbent's role after succession, communication of the decision regarding succession, and the incumbent's propensity to step aside are not significantly related to organizational performance. Further, our results confirm (a) the moderating effects of strategic staffing practices between communication of the decision regarding succession and organizational performance, and (b) the moderating effects of strategic staffing practices between the incumbent's propensity to step aside and organizational performance. The theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

  • Crowdfunding is one of new financing alternatives and is innovative and creative. In order to proceed with crowdfunding, various functions are required, such as design for screen composition, marketing and promotion for the public, accounting to manage the collected funds, and product production and purchase for reward. In addition, since it is a project that must be completed in a short period of time, cooperation between team members is important. This paper studied how the characteristics of the team conducting crowdfunding affect the team performance in crowdfunding. In this study, we set functional background diversity and shared leadership necessary for crowdfunding as team characteristic variables and crowdfunding amount, completion of work and team innovation as team performance variables. This study tests the hypotheses from 220 university students in 79 teams. The findings suggest that functional diversity and shared leadership are positively related to the completion of work and team innovation but not related to crowdfunding amount. To date, few studies have studied the relationship between characteristics of the crowdfunding team and performance. Therefore, the study on functional diversity and shared leadership in crowdfunding can expand existing crowdfunding study area.

  • Humane entrepreneurship is defined as "the pursuit of entrepreneurial growth and humane development for opportunity realization and sustainable organization." In this study, we evaluate and compare 19 countries by the degree to which 'humane entrepreneurship' is realized or emphasized. This study compares two factors of humane entrepreneurship, enterprise cycle and humane cycle, between different countries and examines a balance between the two. To make country-by-country comparison along humane entrepreneurship, we adopted Sethia and von Glinow's (1985) organizational culture model, which originated from Blake and Mouton's (1964) managerial grid model. Here, enterprise cycle and humane cycle of humane entrepreneurship correspond to concern for performance and concern for people. We suggest that keeping balance between humane cycle and enterprise cycle is important, because humane entrepreneurship is an internal condition for firm growth.
