  • The study is a descriptive research to determine how female university students' life patterns have an effect on dysmenorrhea and to provide the basis about healthy care programs through changing life patterns. We collected 133 data female university students who have dysmenorrhea attending J university. The study period lasted two weeks, going from Nov 18 to Nov 29, 2019. As a result of this study, the correlated factors of dysmenorrhea included dietary habits(r=-.441, p<.001), salt-related dietary(r=-.214, p=.013). The prevalent factors influencing dysmenorrhea are dietary hibits(β=-.457), smoking(β=.175), and phone calls(<2 hours)(β=.163).Therefore, it will be needed patterns of healthy lifestyle including positive dietary habits, non-smoking, phone calls (less than 2 hours) to relieve female university students' dysmenorrhea through education and training.

  • The purpose of this study is to perform of composition of young children teacher's verbal interactions and problem solving strategies by semantic network analysis. The data was collected the narrative of teacher in young children's environmental education. Additionally, this study used categories as a unit of analysis in order to find out structural characteristics. The results of this study were as follows. First, teacher's verbal interactions, providing information was the most cental, high influence appeared along with integration. Second, teacher's problem solving strategies, suggestion was the most cental, high influence appeared along with divergent thinking. Third, teacher's verbal interactions and problem solving strategies, suggestion was the most cental, providing information and divergent thinking appeared a strong connection. Besides, suggestion and decision were mediated by concern of problem, assessment appeared connection. Through these results from this study it is suggested that in order to interact and support problem solving process in young children's environmental education, teacher education to respond and understand contextually with young children is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the major selection motivation, academic stress, self-efficacy and college life adjustment and identify influencing factors of college life adjustment in the crisis situation of COVID-19. 243 nursing students were selected from 2 regions through convenience sampling. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS for Windows Ver. 22.0. The higher the major selection motivation and self-efficacy, the higher the college life adjustment. The lower the academic stress, the higher the college life adjustment. The factors influencing college life adjustment were self-efficacy, major selection motivation, monthly allowance, and the explanatory power of these variables for college life adjustment was 65.6%. Therefore, in order to improve the nursing students' college life adjustment, it is necessary to develop and apply college life adjustment program to increase self-efficacy.

  • This study analyzed the correlation between sensory processing types and stress responses in university students. A survey was conducted on 99 university students in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do. The survey contents consisted of Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile and Stress Response Inventory. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 21.0 for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. As a result of the study, low-registration and sensory sensitivity were all correlated except for aggression of stress response, and sensory avoiding was all correlated of stress response. Sensory seeking was net related to any domain of stress response. Based on the results of this study, taking into account the correlation between sensory processing types and stress responses, it is recommended for convergence with other treatments to develop self-regulation strategies for coping with stress in university students.

  • The purpose of this study is a descriptive research study to understand the relationship between sexual attitude, sexual knowledge and gender sensitivity of nursing college students, and to analyze the effect on gender sensitivity. T-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were performed Using SPSS 22.0 version. As a result of the study, gender sensitivity was positively correlated with sexual attitude (r=.383, p=.000), and the factors affecting gender sensitivity of nursing students were sexual attitude (𝛽=.365, p=. 000). In the future, it can be used as basic data for the development of a program that can establish a correct sexual attitude in order to increase the gender sensitivity of nursing college students.

  • This study was conducted to identify factors influencinging confidence in performing patient safety management (PSM) of nursing students. The subjects of this study were 230 nursing students in four universities in two cities. Data were collected between June 22 and June 26, 2020 using by completing structured self report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0. programs. In correlation analysis, significant positive correlations were found between confidence in performing PSM, PSM knowledge(r=.321, p<.001), PSM attitude(r=.584, p<.001), and clinical decision making ability(𝛽=.460, p<.001). In multiple regression analysis, PSM attitude(𝛽=.35, p=.005) and clinical decision making ability(𝛽=.23, p<.001) were factors predicting confidence in performing PSM, which explained 34.2% of the variance in the model. Therefore, we emphasize that continuing customized convergence educational programs are required to improve nursing student's confidence in performing PSM.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the responsibility & critical thinking disposition and identify influencing factors of clinical competence of nursing students who have completed clinical practice. Data collection was performed from Dec. 11th, 2019 to Dec. 13th. A total of 119 4th grade nursing students were selected. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS 25.0. As a result of this study, the correlated factors of clinical competence included responsibility(r=.53, p<.001), critical thinking disposition(r=.71, p<.001). The factors influencing clinical competence were critical thinking disposition(𝛽=.56, p<.001), responsibility(𝛽=.32, p<.001), and clinical practice satisfaction(𝛽=.13, p=.012). These factors accounted for 52% of the clinical competence(p<.001). Therefore, it is necessary to develop and apply educational programs so that concrete and practical education for reinforcing critical thinking disposition and responsibility can be performed together with clinical practice.

  • This study aimed to identify the integral factors influencing the attitudes of nursing students toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatments. Methods: 139 nursing students were selected from the school of nursing of a single university. Questionnaires were used as measurement tools to measure their good death recognition, attitude towards death & towards withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. The degree of good death recognition, attitude towards death & towards withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Correlation between variables was analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and factors influencing the attitude towards withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment using multiple linear regression. Results: Attitude towards withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment was significantly positively correlated with good death recognition(r=.312, p=.000). As a result of multiple linear regression, good death recognition significantly influenced (β=.312, p=.000), accounting for 8.5% of the variance in attitude towards withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. Conclusions: The results from this study can be contribute to develop educational programs to foster positive attitudes towards withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify health literacy among elderly and to investigate the relationships between healthy literacy and health status. A cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 158 participants between July and December 2019. The linguistic and functional health literacy (using the KHLAT and NVS) and self-rated physical and mental health were assessed. Above third of elderly have difficulties reading and understanding linguistic and functional health literacy. There were significant differences in health literacy according to residence, spouse, living together, educational level, occupation, monthly income, and number of diagnosed disease. Linguistic and functional health literacy and self-rated physical and mental health are closely related. Sociodemographic and disease related factors such as residence, educational level, monthly income, and multi-morbidity need to be considered when developing educational programs to improve health literacy. It could be possible to promote health status by improving the health literacy through individualized convergent educational program.
