  • This study was conducted to identify factors that affect the life satisfaction of college students. The subjects of this study were 191 students from three universities located in one area, and the data collection used self-reported questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Independent T-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of the study showed that significant factors affecting the life satisfaction of the subjects were self-esteem and school life satisfaction, and the explanatory power according to the influence factors was 42.3%. The research results suggest that improving college students' self-esteem and school life satisfaction can help them improve their life satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to consider self-esteem and school life satisfaction when developing educational programs to improve the life satisfaction of college students in the future.

  • The study was design to examine the degree of disability and the moderating effect of discrimination experiences on the job satisfaction of the disabled workers' disability acceptance. The 8th year data from the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled was used to extracting 2270 disable wage-workers who met the study purpose as a sample. The moderate effect was verified by using regression analysis. As a result, first, the disability acceptance of disabled wage workers presented a positive effect on job satisfaction. Second, the effect of disability acceptance on job satisfaction differed by the degree of disability. Third, the effect of disability acceptance on job satisfaction differed by the discrimination experiences. Which refers that the study identify the cushion of degree of disability and the discrimination experiences, which play an important role in the job satisfaction of the disabled wage workers. Therefore, this study suggests that it can be used as a practical implication and basic data for the program developments improving the job satisfaction of disabled wage workers.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between university students' interest in appearance management and various forms of appearance management behaviors converged with beauty trends. The questionnaire was distributed for 15 days from April 15 to 30, 2018 to the students in the G district. The data of 267 students who explained and agreed on the purpose and method of the study were analyzed using SPSS 18. University students' interest in appearance management showed a difference of interest according to university students, male and female students in body composition management, skin care, hair care, and cosmetics use management except for interest in health care. In addition, students with a high level of interest in managing cosmetics use had a positive effect on the degree of interest in managing cosmetics usage in fashion styles, cosmetics style, skin care, and body management behavior factors that were converged with trends. And negative (-) influence on the use of health equipment. Based on the study of the trend management behaviors of college students, I will expect to utilize the reference materials for new product development research of the beauty industry and will continue to study the new management mode of appearance management.

  • The study was investigate the effect of quality of life of mothers in the postpartum period. This study was a descriptive research study of 113 women who lived in D metropolitan area within 6-8 weeks after birth, Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program ANOVA, t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple random analysis. Data collection was from August 2018 to September 2018. The results were as follows. The most influential factors on quality of life were parenting stress(${\beta}=-.646$, p =.000), fatigue(${\beta}=-.329$, p =.009). It is necessary to develop a nursing intervention program related to physical and mental health because maternal quality of life leads to lower quality of life when feeling emotional mood change such as emptiness and depression.

  • Friction stir welding was first reported by TWI(The Welding Institute) in 1991, and this welding method has been rapidly used in various industrial areas such railway, automobile, aerospace and shipbuilding industry. Here, we study core characteristics of friction stir welding (FSW) applied to Al 6005-T6 extruded sheets, which is the typical alloy used for railway car bodies. With the fixed welding speed of 500 mm/min, the rotating tool speed was varied from 600 to 1800 RPM. The results of hardness measurement revealed that the hardness of nugget area is ~70% with respect to the parent material, and for the selected range of rotation speed, no clear dependence was observed and the hardness values close to the parent materials were achieved for the area located 5 mm away from the welding interface. The tension test shows that yield strength and tensile strength were slightly decreased with increasing RPM, with no observed difference for the elongation.

  • This study is a descriptive survey study intended to analyze the relationship between multicultural acceptability, empathy, and global citizenship of nursing students and identify the factors influencing global citizenship. The data was collected targeting 187 nursing students at universities located in the cities of B, U, and S. The collected data was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: global citizenship of nursing students was positively correlated with multicultural acceptability and empathy. Factors influencing the level of global citizenship were empathy, multicultural acceptability, which together explained 40.0% of the total variance in global citizenship. Consequently, this study raises the need for the development and application of steady practical programs and various learning methods for the enhancement of global citizenship, which is required in the fields of nursing education where global competence is considered to be important.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the anti-oxidative, anti-oxidative and tyrosinase inhibitory effects of MeOH 80% extract and hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol and aqueous fraction on three kinds of compositae plants in Korea. In the antimicrobial effect, the extract and chloroform fraction of Eclipta prostrata and hexane fraction of Carpesium abrotanoides L. and chloroform fraction of Siegesbeckia glabrescens exhibited significant inhibition. The antioxidant activity of ethyl acetate and butanol fractions was more than 90% in all three plants. In case of tyrosinase activity, showed a potent inhibition ethlyacetate fraction of Siegesbeckia glabrescens and Carpesium abrotanoides L, which were higher than control group. In MeOH 80% extracts, there was not found to have antimicrobial, anti-oxidant and tyrosinase inhibitory activity, however there was ethylacetate fraction of Siegesbeckia glabrescens to show effectss commonly in the three assay system.

  • This study suggests a new direction for designing art masks that receive attention as an area of creative expression for makeup by incorporating Neo-Pop art. After analyzing the characteristics of Neo-Pop from a theoretical perspective, the researcher produced four art masks based on each characteristic by utilizing the motif of the Japanese Pop artist Takashi Murakami. From this study, the researcher elicits that Neo-Pop has enough qualities to be utilized as a material for the art mask, new designs of the art mask may be suggested by applying the characteristics of Neo-Pop, and that the convergence of art and makeup highlights the possibility of convergence among the many other fields. Thus, it is expected that the art mask will be studied further through converging with a range of fields, and this study will be used as fundamental data for the development of the art mask design.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand and describe the illness experience of middle-aged women who underwent craniotomy for meningioma. Data were collected through individual in-depth interviews with 7 middle-aged women who underwent craniotomy. Verbatim transcripts were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological analysis to uncover the meaning of the illness experience of the participants. As a results, seven themes were identified: serious attack of fear in middle age, strengthening self-confidence in healing, escape from fear of death, care for my own body, two types of conflict for family harmony and disease, nurse as a healing partner, and opening the second life. Based on the results of this study, it will be possible to plan more comprehensive nursing intervention through understanding of participants' experience. Also, the main reason of fear that participants felt was lack of information about craniotomy. Therefore, the development of educational programs to provide information and knowledge about cranial surgery is suggested.

  • This study aimed to explore predictors of terminal care stress of nurses. Participants were 197 nurses from a C university hospital in J city. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. On hierarchial multiple regression, dignified dying attitude, turnover intention, well dying attitude, and spirituality explained 39.6% of variance in terminal care stress. The results suggest that dignified dying attitude, well dying attitude, spirituality need to be properly assessed and managed to reduce terminal care stress of nurses.
