A Comparative Study on the Recall and Recognition with Sponsor and Non-sponsor in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games : focusing on the case of Korea and China (2008북경올림픽 스폰서 및 비(非)스폰서의 회상(recall)과 인식(recognition) 측정 비교 연구: 한국과 중국을 중심으로)

  • This paper examines the performance of assessing sponsors and non-sponsors recall and recognition at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games perceived by Korean and Chinese university students. Using a sample of 1,573 respondents, a survey was administered in Seoul and Beijing before and after Games to compare the recall and recognition that changed between two periods. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of the 2008 Beijing Olympic sponsorship has was lower than we expected. Results were founded that while Samsung(mobile), Coca-cola, McDonald's, and Visa achieved the desired sponsorship marketing effectiveness in Korea. On the other hand, non-sponsors of Nike, Dell, AIG, Samsung(computer) and Hyundai led to obtain the benefit and resulted in increasing consumer confusion as to who is a sponsor. In China, Samsung, Coca-cola, Lenovo, Volkswagen, Visa, and PICC achieved the desired sponsorship marketing effectiveness. On the other hand, Lining, Nokia, KFC, China Merchants Bank had some impact on the effectiveness of a rival brand from an official sponsor's product category. The paper concludes by considering some issues for sponsorship marketers.

  • 영화는 현대 사회에서 가장 환영을 받고, 가장 영향력을 가진 문화 산업 중 하나로, 우수한 영화 장면 디자인은 영화 스토리 효과의 발전에 빛을 한층 더한다. <삼국-무 영자>는 장예모 감독이 연출하여 2018년에 개봉한 최신 영화로, 이것은 동양의 수묵 스타일 영화로, 주로 흑백으로 나타난다.[1] 이 영화는 2018년 제75회 베니스영화제 비경쟁 상영부문, 토론토국제영화제 상영부문, 런던영화제 경쟁부문에 진출했다. 장예모 감독은 민족문화의 내용을 표현할 때, 중국 문화에 대한 이해와 자신의 문화적 가치관을 자신의 촬영방식으로 풀어냈다. 그의 작품으로 보면, 이 영화의 주제는 주로 중국 고대의 역사문화와 수묵문화에 근거해 표현되며, 중국 전통문화의 독특한 매력에 대한 찬양이기도 하다. 본 논문은 연출 스타일과 동양의 심미적 측면에서 영화가 지닌 예술적 특징, 영화에 담긴 인문정신을 탐구하고, 세계를 향해 중국 수묵문화의 문화적 의미를 소개하는 동시에, 영화의 발전에 도움이 되기를 바란다.

An empirical study of Chinese consumers' lifestyle by country of origin effect of mobile phone (중국소비자 조사에서 휴대폰의 원산국 효과에 따른 라이프스타일 실증 연구)

  • This paper is an empirical study of chinese consumers' lifestyle by country of origin effect of mobile phone. The data we analyze in this paper was collected and studied in Kim et al. (2006, 2007). We classify the respondents into the four groups according to the responses of country of origin effect of mobile phone. The four groups are group K (preference in made in Korea), group J (preference in made in Japan), group U (preference in made in USA), and group C (preference in made in China). One-way ANOVA and stepwise discriminant analysis are applied to classify the training sample which consists of 89 lifestyle variables and two personnel information. It is observed that group K is more open-minded, out front, aggressive, and self-assertive compared to group C.

The Impact of IFRS Adoption on Firm Value in Korea and China - Evidence using Tobin's Q (국제회계기준 도입이 기업가치에 영향을 미치는가?: 토빈의 Q 모형을 이용한 한국과 중국의 실증비교연구)

  • In this research, it is empirically tested whether firm value after the adoption of IFRS is increased in Korea and China using Tobin's Q model. In Korea, IFRS was mandatorily adopted in 2011 for all companies. China mandated IFRS conversion for public traded companies starting 2007. The revisions bring Chinese standards closer to the IFRS benchmark of internationally recognized quality, but the new standards will not be word-for-word translations of IFRS, though they founded on similar principle. We expect the different adoption process between Korea and China can make different impact of IFRS on firm value. The results are summarized as follows. First, Tobin's Q seems to be increased after the adoption of IFRS, and the firm value is significantly different between before and after IFRS adoption in Korea. Second, Tobin's Q seems to be increased after the adoption of IFRS, but the analysis by t-test is not significantly higher for post IFRS. These results could be a good finding in that the impact of IFRS adoption on firm value is different by adoption process.

  • Entrepreneurship has been received enormous attention all around the world in terms of economic prosperity of local society and a nation. This paper explores the critical factors which influence entrepreneurship, particularly how role models affects social competence and entrepreneurship of Korean and Chinese university students. Total 440 students participated in the study; Korea(n=224) and China(n=216). Verifying mediating effect of social competence was another aim of this study. Four hypotheses were suggested to assess the extent to which they prove the students' perceptions with hierarchical multiple regression analysis(PASW Statistic 18). Our findings showed that role models have positive relationships with social competence as well as entrepreneurship. Social competence influences entrepreneurship significantly, too. Social competence has also a partial mediating effect in relationship between role models and entrepreneurship. We presented both theoretical contribution and practical implication for school authorities and policy makers as to the effective pedagogy for promoting entrepreneurship of university students.

The Effects of Job Characteristics on Turnover Intention of Service Industry Employees in China Focused on the Mediating Effects Self-Efficacy (중국 서비스 구성원의 직무특성이 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This research emphasized that the importance of key elements of job characteristics such as technical diversity, task identity, task importance, autonomy, and feedback. Moreover, it focused on verifying the effects of these five elements on turnover intention through Self-Efficacy. To verify this, an empirical analysis was conducted on employees of the service industry in China. Through empirical analysis, it was found that all five elements of job characteristics improve Self-Efficacy. Furthermore, Self-Efficacy was found to degrade the level of turnover intention. Furthermore, it has been verified that self-efficacy has a fully mediated effect in the relationship between the two elements(technical diversity, autonomy) of job characteristics and turnover intention. Through this research, it was revealed which elements of job characteristics had the greatest influence on self-efficacy. Finally, based on this research, we presented useful implications in human resource management to practitioners of Chinese service companies and Korean service companies seeking to enter China and future research directions were discussed.

  • After the spread of COVID-19 in China, Chinese medical workers bear the high-intensity work, these problems reduced psychological well-being. Psychological well-being will affect the members'behavior and job performance. Authentic leadership can improve the members'psychological well-being. This study focuses on the psychological well-being and explores how authentic leadership in the process of affecting the psychological well-being, to find out the mediating role of the leaders' relational conflict and the job stress. This study found that authentic leadership in the process of improving the members'psychological well-being, job stress will play a negative mediating effect. Under the background of COVID-19 era, this study helps to improve the psychological well-being level of medical staff.

  • The research focuses on the interactional justice of organizational members and supervisors within Chinese organizations. In terms of organizational performance, the focus is on creativity by members, based on the need for innovation today. Furthermore, it verifies the influence of moral leadership on members' innovative behavior and the various effects of trust on members' superiors. This study empirically examined 330 Chinese small practitioners and identified the role of interactional justice in increasing the creative influence of organizational members to date in Chinese small. This study will propose ways to increase the level of creative and reduce the level of procedural justice, and discuss future research directions related to this.

On the Application of Traditional Chinese Cultural Symbols and Modern Literary Symbols in Zhang Yimou's Film (장예모의 영화 ≪영≫의 중국문화상징과 현대문화상징의 응용에 관한 내용)

  • Zhang yimou's film "the shadow" adopts a lot of modern literary symbolic content in the story structure. The novel has been greatly modified, abandoning the setting of the original work and making up the historical background of the story, thus completing the discourse practice of aerial literature rather than historical literature. The film expresses the historical story poetically and even writes the personal mind. In this way, the audience's sense of substitution is increased, and a large number of traditional Chinese cultural symbols are adopted visually. In terms of clothing, the most traditional is sought, which advocates loyalty to history, and adds cultural connotation and depth. The audience can feel the bold and unfettered artistic creation spirit of the main creator, as well as the novel and unique visual expression style, which makes his works have both traditional visual perception and modern story content. The combination of traditional vision and modern drama forms a new visual and cultural experience.

  • In this study, we investigate an influence of the China government's software support policy on the revenue of software export. In the analysis in the areas of technology development, manpower development, quality control and marketing reinforcement from 2008 to 2014, it has been found that the amounts of the policy influence and annual revenue of software export increase simultaneously, proving that the China government's support policy has a close relationship with the software export revenue. However, the annual ratio of the software export revenue to the gross software production revenue has decreased over the period, which indicates that the growth of software industry in China has been mainly driven by domestic market.
