Priority Setting for Future Core Technologies in Postharvest Agriculture using the AHP (AHP를 이용한 유통분야 미래유망기술의 우선순위 설정)

  • The study focused on setting priority among future core technologies that were derived by Delphi in agricultural management & information using AHP. Items for the setting priority were decided as 'technology', 'market', and 'public concerns' by council. The future core technologies were divided as four parts by importance and R&D level. Technologies that are consisted with upper two parts that have high importance were considered in the study. Questionnaires were given to 10 specialists in division of postharvest agriculture. As the results, 'market' was decided as a most important item. The most important technologies number were PⅠ16 in group Ⅰ, and PⅡ12 in group Ⅱ.

The Research of the Brand Image of Extremely Low-end Cosmetics (초저가화장품의 브랜드 이미지에 관한 연구)

  • The reduced production of domestic cosmetics in 2003, compared to last 5 years shows the recession of cosmetics industry. Under this situation, there has been reorganization on the domestic cosmetic market that low-end cosmetic .products become a trend due to the fact that major cosmetic companies also focus on low-end market since the last half year of 2004. However, it does not seem to be a temporal fashion that the extremely low-end cosmetics had an impact wavelength on cosmetics market. It has important meaning for the brand product strategy. This research focused on analysis of market situation and strategy through investigation of requirement and satisfaction on extremely low-end cosmetics in order to keep and improve it, which stimulated depressed cosmetic market.

The Pattern of Penetration of US Films into Foreign Film Markets (타국영화산업에 대한 미국영화산업의 진입패턴)

  • This paper studies the determinants of the pattern of penetration of US films. The global dominance of US films has been an important issue. There has been several factors that make US films competitive global film market. Market size, large investment and political hegemony have been regarded as important determinants. But the number of varieties has not been considered, although the variety is important in the pattern of differentiated products such as films. This study is purposed to analyze the export pattern of US films and to find factors that affects the pattern of trade in films. The export pattern of US films to the seven leading countries in production of films is analyzed. The US tends to export more to the country with smaller number of films produced domestically. This paper concludes that number of films is the important determinant of the pattern of trades in US films.

  • Companies are making great efforts to integrate CSR into various aspects of their management strategies. A lot of research has been conducted on what management intends to do indirectly and indirectly. Was performed. In this study, we conducted additional research considering executive compensation as an indicator of the motivation for management to participate in CSR. The main purpose of this study was to analyze whether accounting performance measures or market performance measures are given more weight when providing rewards for performance to corporate managers conducting CSR activities. The analysis of the relationship between CSR and executive performance-reward sensitivity showed that corporate executives who actively implement CSR pay more weight to market performance measures rather than accounting performance measures. Considering the long-term performance of CSR when paying executives' compensation, the company pays more for market performance than accounting performance. This study is expected to be useful for executives to design compensation contracts to actively induce CSR implementation.

  • 본 연구는 인터넷의 진화 및 이미징 디바이스 전반의 발달에 따른 디지털 카메라의 진화 전략을 다룬 논문이다. 오늘날의 카메라 기술은 하루가 다르게 발전해 나가고 있다. 수동 필름 카메라에서부터 최첨단 하이브리드(hybrid) 카메라에 이르기 까지 카메라는 끊임없이 진화해 왔으며 사용자 계층 역시 다양해지고 있다. 디지털이 적용된 디지털 카메라의 경우, 웹의 발전과 더불어 활용도가 다양해 짐에 따라서 기존에는 전문가와 비전문가 계층으로 명확하게 나뉘던 사용자 계층도 그 경계가 모호해졌으며 사용자의 수 역시 비약적으로 증가하였다. 수많은 사업자들이 디지털 카메라 시장에 진출함에 따라, 높은 성장세가 지속되던 컴팩트 카메라 (compact camera)시장은 과포화기에 접어들어 성장성이 점차 감소하는 추세에 있으며, 전문가의 영역으로 여겨졌던 DSLR 시장 역시 선발업체의 높은 진입장벽과 이를 극복하기 위한 후발업체의 지속적인 도전으로 인해 경쟁은 치열하고 이익은 내기 어려운 레드 오션(red ocean)이 되었다. 이러한 상황 속에서 디지털 카메라가 활용될 수 있는 대표적 매체인 웹 역시 '웹 2.0' 이라는 용어가 생길 정도로 발전했다. 웹2.0시대가 본격화되어 서로 다른 사용자들이 자유롭게 컨텐츠를 공유하고 누구든지 쉽게 정보의 생산에 동참할 수 있게 됨으로써 기존의 웹에서 일어나지 않았던 다양한 변화들이 생겨나게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 변화의 특징들을 살펴보기 위해 웹 2.0 시대의 대표적인 컨텐츠 공유 커뮤니티로 자리매김한 야후(Yahoo)사(社) 플리커(Flickr)의 사례를 통해 디지털 카메라 사용자들의 디지털 카메라 사용패턴을 살펴보고 이를 통해 디지털 카메라의 진화를 설명하고자 한다. 인터넷이 발전하며 디지털 카메라와 관련 되어 나타난 대표적인 변화는 일반 소비자가 진화하는 점 이라고 볼 수 있다. 컨텐츠의 공유가 자유로운 웹 플랫폼의 등장, 카메라 기술이 결합된 소형 디지털 단말기의 발전 등으로 인해 비전문가 영역에 속해있던 일반 소비자 계층에 Flickr와 같은 웹 커뮤니티에서의 활동을 통해 준전문가 계층으로 진입하려는 욕구가 생기게 되었는데, 이렇게 형성된 욕구에 따라 디지털 카메라 시장 역시 새로운 수요를 만나게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 경쟁이 치열한 시장 상황 속에서 디지털 카메라의 향후 발전 방향을 알아보기 위해 우선 디지털 카메라 기능을 나누어 본 후, 이미징 디바이스 시장과 웹의 발전 형태에 대해 분석해보았다. 이어 본 연구에서는 분류된 디지털 카메라의 기능을 바탕으로 웹 2.0 시대에 시장을 주도할 수 있는 디지털 카메라의 변화방향에 대해서 알아보았다. 본 연구는 감성적 및 이성적 측면에서 디지털 카메라의 향후 전개방향을 살펴보았다는 점에서 이론적 실무적 함의를 가지는 논문이라고 사료된다.

Does Market Competition Reduce Hospital Charges & LOS for the Degenerative Lumbar Spinal Disease?: A Two-point Cross Sectional Study (병원시장 경쟁이 퇴행성 요추질환 환자의 진료비 및 재원일수에 미치는 영향)

  • Background: Health care utilizations and costs of the patients with degenerative lumbar spine disease in Korea increased dramatically. We analyzed whether hospital market competition is associated with charges and length of stay for patients with degenerative lumbar spine disease. Methods: We used Medical claims data of 2002 and 2010 from the nationwide representative sample of National Health Insurance Service of Korea. The study subjects were inpatients with degenerative lumbar spine disease (N=24,768) in 2002 and 2010. We employed a multilevel linear mixed model that included patient- and hospital-level variables in hierarchical data. Results: Higher hospital competition was associated with lower charges (${\beta}=57.5$, p<.0001 in 2002; ${\beta}=353.7$, p<.0001 in 2010) and shorter length of stay (${\beta}=0.3$, p<.0001 in 2002; ${\beta}=0.9$, p<.0001 in 2010) in both 2002 and 2010. Compared to 2002, the magnitude of such association became greater in 2010. However, subgroup analyses show that the influence of competition on charges and length of stay differed by hospital size. Conclusions: This study showed that hospital market structure (e.g., hospital competition) affects hospital efficiency (i.e., hospital charges and length of stay). It is necessary to continue to monitor how changing market structure influences hospital outcomes, including more detailed outcomes such as patient satisfaction.

K-POP fandom and Korea's national reputation: An analysis on BTS fans in the U.S. (K-POP 팬덤과 한국의 국가 명성: 미국의 BTS 팬 중심 분석)

  • Objectives: This study aims to discover how the spread of K-POP and the diversification of the Korean Wave affects Korea's national reputation. K-POP stars are diversifying their interactions with fandom by creating an online space to consume various products and services related to their stars and engage in fan activities. Because of this, this study aims to examine the relevance of K-POP to national reputation through a parasocial relationship with K-POP stars by fandom forming a community and utilizing media. Methods: An online survey was conducted in English using the Amazon survey company Mechanical Turk for BTS fans living in the United States. A total of 195 people's data, excluding incomplete responses, were used for the analysis. Results: It was found that BTS fans' social media participation activities themselves did not directly affect Korea's national reputation. But the mediating effect of BTS fans' parasocial relationship was found. That is, BTS fans' social media participation activities had a positive effect on their parasocial relationships with BTS which in turn had a positive effect on their national reputation. Conlusions: The use and participation of BTS fans in social media in Korea's national reputation has no significant effect on itself, but it has been found that it affects the national reputation through forming parasocial relationships. From the study results, the parasocial relationship of K-POP fans can be used as a strategic mechanism to enhance the national image and Korea's national reputation.

  • 본 논문은 영상, 음성, 문자 정보를 포함한 대용량 멀티미디어 자료의 효율적인 검색을 위하여 진행되고 있는 MPEG-7 국제 표준화 활동의 동향에 대해서 알아 보며 국제표준 MPEG-7을 따르는 MPEG-7 Description Generator의 설계에 관하여 연구한다. 이 생성기는 크게 MPEG-7 DS 편집 모듈과 MPEG-7 Description 편집 모듈로 나뉘다. MPEG-7 Description Generator는 표준화 대상이 아닌 비표준 도구(non-normative tool)로서 세계적인 기업들이 경쟁적으로 개발 중에 있는 멀티미디어 응용 프로그램 중의 하나다. MPEG-7 은 현재 표준화가 진행 중이지만 MPEG-7 Metadata Generator를 개발함으로써 많은 수요가 예상되는 MPEG-7 표준안이 채택될 시점에 MPEG-7 관련 응용프로그램 시장에서 선점하고자 한다.

Estimation of Wage Equation for College Graduates with Correction for Selection Bias upon Working State (대졸청년층의 취업지역에 대한 자기선택을 고려한 임금함수 추정)

  • In this paper, the wage equations of local labor markets for college graduates in Korea are estimated by Dahl(2002)'s methodology to correct for selection bias. The results suggest that the variations of coefficients in wage equations across the local labor markets are mostly remained after correcting for selection bias. The gender wage gap is hardly affected by selection bias. The variations of return to education and the major premium are reduced about 18% and 11% respectively. Meanwhile, the selection bias is negligible in the national capital region, which suggests that college graduates prefer the national capital region regardless of their gender, level of education, and major.

  • In this dissertation, we discuss the trends of policy and analyze the technical regulation for the extremely low power devices in other countries. In addition, this paper proposes a draft revision of technical regulation for new efficient electric field strength of extremely low power devices in accordance with the technical requirement of Electromagnetic Compatibility. Based on these researches, the contents of this study will be useful to contribute a domestic efficient expansion and development of extremely low power devices and strengthen a competitiveness on international communication markets.
