Circulation data is a key data set of academic libraries in terms of collection development and service improvement This study aims to identify the characteristics of circulation measures and their feasibility. This study collected the circulation data of 10 colleges in a university and analyzed 4 measures based on the circulation data: circulation frequency, circulation entropy, circulation h-index, and circulation divergence. These measures are to present the circulation topics of each college. This study identified that circulation entropy tends to present general topics which are popular for many colleges, but circulation divergence tends to present specific topics which are preferred by a specific college.

Data journals and data papers have grown and considered an important scholarly practice in the paradigm of open science in the context of data sharing and data reuse. This study investigates a total of 713 data papers published in Scientific Data in terms of author, citation, and subject areas. The findings of the study show that the subject areas of core authors are found as the areas of Biotechnology and Physics. An average number of co-authors is 12 and the patterns of co-authorship are recognized as several closed sub-networks. In terms of citation status, the subject areas of cited publications are highly similar to the areas of data paper authors. However, the citation analysis indicates that there are considerable citations on the journals specialized on methodology. The network with authors' keywords identifies more detailed areas such as marine ecology, cancer, genome, database, and temperature. This result indicates that biology oriented-subjects are primary areas in the journal although Scientific Data is categorized in multidisciplinary science in Web of Science database.

The purpose of this study is to summarize the trends and trends of the researchin on flipped learning (FL) in Korea. To accomplish this, a total of 680 papers were selected by using the RISS academic paper search function, and the content analysis was conducted based on the basic bibliographic information provided by RISS and the coding schemes derived from the process of analysis. The data were classified according to the nature of the thesis, method of research, subject of study, academic field of study, topic of research. As a result, the first academic article related to FL appeared in 2013. After the year, FL research has been increased rapidly in various fields. In terms of purpose of study, introduction of FL, basic discussion, exploratory application, and deepening and expansion of the discussion have gradually developed. Now that the challenge of quantitative growth has been fully achieved, it is proposed to examine and consolidate the theoretical foundations of FL research.

The purpose of this study is to investigate trends of research in the area of gifted education in Korea. Research articles published in the Journal of Gifted/Talented Education from 2006 to the present, which totalled 422 articles, were analyzed. Also, articles in the area of gifted education published in other academic journals registered in Korea Research Foundation totalling 228 were analyzed. In addition, 131 doctoral dissertations on gifted education areas were investigated. The articles were analyzed in terms of their subjects, topics and research methods. The results show that most of the studies looked into elementary and high school students as subjects, and the most researched topics of the articles were program development and curriculum, identification, affective characteristics and cognition. The methodology of majority of the articles were quantitative methods. Implications and future research areas are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to understand the trends and changes of the articles publishing the Journal of the Korean Association for Science Education(JKASE) in the past forty-four years. To this end, Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA) topic modeling analysis was performed on a total of 2,115 English abstracts of papers published in the JKASE from 1978 to 2021. As a result of LDA topic modeling analysis, a total of 23 topics were extracted, and each topic was presented with its related keywords and articles. Next, in order to examine how these topics have changed over time, we visualized the average weights of each topic for a 4-year cycle by using heatmaps. The topics that have risen or fallen were identified. The results of this study provide new insights into science education research in Korea in terms of revealing not only traditional research topics that have been consistently studied but also the topics that have changed in response to the development of educational philosophy or research methods, social or policy demands related to science education.

The purpose of this study was to examine the intellectual structure of domestic LIS in the 1990s and 2000s using author bibliographic coupling analysis (ABCA). First, cluster analysis and multi-dimensional scaling analysis were performed to examine core subject areas and to map authors in two-dimensional space. Second, network analysis was used to visualize intellectual relationships among subject areas and to reveal the top subject areas for global centrality. Third, the 1990s and 2000s intellectual structures was compared to identify the changes of the intellectual structure over the course of time.

Various theories and techniques for the subject index have been developed since Charles Ammi Cutter first tried to formulate rules for the construction of subject headings in 1876. However, they do not seem to be appropriate to Korean language since the syntax and semantics of Korean language are different from those of English and other European languages. This study therefore reviews and analysis most notable subject indexing systems as a preliminaries to developing a new Korean subject indexing system.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest a h-index as a new collection development technique using a number of document delivery per a journal focusing on journal subject. It will be to support a decision making of journal subscription in the field of library. This method will be applied to identify a major journal for developing continuously and low-use journal for moving a remote depository.

This study aimed at finding theological trends of Calvin Theological Journal by analyzing Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). The study performed the time-series analysis and the analysis of distinctive terms by examining the main authors and the subject headings of the articles published in Calvin Theological Journal during 45 years. We also proposed a new method of dividing the analysis period with the change of authors and subject headings. In the analysis results, the 18 main authors had the three clusters and shared Calvin and the Reformed Theology, the Bible. The reformed characteristics were shown in the first and second period, but the reformed theology was at the margins. The frequency of Calvin became small in the third period, the frequency of the reformed theology became bigger than before, but it was at the perimeters. Literary criticism was clustered independently. There were lots of the terms of the reformed theology in the analysis of the distinctive terms in all three periods and especially in the 2-1 period science and religion were included as the distinctive terms. Therefore, the theological tendency of the Calvin Theological Journal seemed the reformed theology and Old Testament.

In order to satisfy the high expectations of consumers for a variety of consumer's desired subject area, information could be provided in the form of a map according to the analysis information. With the name change in 2015, LX would intend to play a role in building the information infrastructure that can be supported government policy as an intermediary between the government and private sector. Therefore, in this study, we would like to propose a plan that provide personalized information to the consumer. Through compositing a variety of time-series data(inner or outer of LX) based on public information, and analyzing spatially and temporally the rapidly changing land status. For these purpose, prior research and domestic or abroad thematic map service about thematic map making were reviewed. And the reason why the LX makes information map was presented. Also, themes of 3 field were selected, and depending on the data processing or analysis level and theme were subdivided, and then production and expression method were proposed.
