Quality property of bioethanol blends & counterplan of infrastructure (바이오에탄올 혼합가솔린 품질특성 및 유통인프라 대응)

  • 에탄올은 금속, 고무 수지를 부식시키고 열화시키기 때문에 FFV 등 알코올 대응차량이 아닌 경우 에탄올 허용도가 제한되고 있으며, 물과의 상호용해성과 흡습성으로 수분혼입에 의한 상분리가 발생하여 혼합가솔린의 유통에서의 취급에 어려움이 야기되고 있다. 또한, 에탄올은 가솔린과 혼합되면 공비현상으로 인하여 50% 유출온도가 크게 떨어지고 증기압이 7kPa 정도 상승을 초래하는 점도 간과하지 않을 수 없다. 따라서, 자동차용휘발유에 에탄올을 혼입하여 사용할 경우, 가솔린기재를 적절히 선택하여 적정품질을 유지하여야 하며 무엇보다도 에탄을 혼입농도에 따른 저장탱크와 주유기 등의 부품에의 영향과 저장시의 상분리 문제를 충분히 규명하여 유통인프라에서의 적절한 대응책이 마련되어져야 한다. 유통 인프라 대응을 위해서는 우선 생산단계에서 수분 혼입을 최소화하기 위하여 저유소의 출하지점에서 서브옥탄가솔린과 에탄올을 라인브랜딩에 의해 제조하는 방법이 가장 타당하며, 수송부문에서는 탱크로리 등의 공급라인인 파이프와 실링 재질 등에 대해서 면밀한 검토가 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 주유소에서의 대응은 에탄을 혼합연료와 직접 접촉하는 연료계 등 부품재질을 내부식성의 재질로 변환시켜야 하며, 수분혼입을 최소화하기 위한 이중탱크 설치, 지하탱크 환기구내의 대기벨브 설치 등이 필요하며, 기타, 품질 및 수분관리 대책 등도 마련되어야 할 것이다.

Influence of Flame Holder on Film Cooling Effectiveness of Ramjet Combustor (화염안정기 형상이 램제트 연소실에서의 슬롯 막냉각 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This experimental study has been conducted to investigate the effect of the flame holder on the multi-slot film cooling in the ramjet combustor. The turbulent wake which is generated by the flame holder on the entrance of the coolant flow path affects on the slot. Adiabatic film cooling effectiveness on the downstream wall of the slot exit are measured. The results show that the film cooling performance is rapidly decreased after the slot exit by shear layer and high turbulence intensity between separated flows and coolant flows.

  • This experimental study has been conducted to investigate the installation of the vertical flame holder shape in ramjet combustor, which affects on the film cooling effectiveness. All slot position, the film cooling effectiveness decreases because of the shear layer and high turbulence intensity between separated flows and coolant flows. When the flame holder is installed, film cooling effectiveness decreases abruptly on the beginning of the slot exit region due to the mixing effect. As the blowing rate increases, the film cooling effectiveness is increased for all cases due to the augmented momentum of injected coolant from the slot.

  • Vent mixer can provide main flow directly into a recirculation region downstream of the mixer to enhance fuel-air mixing efficiency. Based on experimental results of three-dimensional velocity, vorticity and turbulent kinetic energy obtained by a stereoscopic PIV method, the performance of the vent mixer was compared with that of the step mixer which was used as a basic model. Thick shear layers of the vent mixer induced the increase of the penetration height. The turbulent kinetic energy mainly distributed along a boundary layer between the main flow and the jet plume. This turbulent field activates mass transfer in a mixing region, leading to the mixing enhancement.

  • 최근 주된 관심사로 대두된 대기오염규제 대상 물질인 휘발성유기화합물(VOCs)은 상온, 상압하에서 reid vapor pressure가 10.3kPa 이상인 탄화수소 물질로서 여러 형태로 대기중이나 수질중에 존재하고, 인간의 주변 환경 및 건강에 직접적으로 해를 끼친다. 간접적으로는 대기중 광화학 반응에 참여하여 오존($O_3$)을 생성시키거나 스모그 생성의 전구체로 작용한다. 우리나라에서는 1999년부터 대기환경보전법 제8조 2항 규정에 의한 대기환경규제지역(석유화학 정제업, 자동차 제조업, 주유고, 자동차 정비업소, 세탁시설 등)에서 VOCs를 규제토록 법제화하고 있다.   • Numerical simulations for the effects of secondary flow and turbulence diffusion on the particle concentration distributions have been carried out for the single stage electrostatic precipitator. The electrohydrodynamic secondary flow, particle concentration distribution and collection efficiency have been evaluated as a function of dimensionless parameters such as Re, $N_{end}$, $P_{e}$ x. The results of simulations show that for increasing secondary flow intensity the concentration distribution is drastically deformed and collection efficiency is decreased which is more than due to turbulent diffusion.n.n.

  • 본 연구는 항공기용 환경제어계통의 시스템관련 제반 기술 및 그 핵심요소인 ACM(Air Cycle Machine)시제기의 개발을 통하여 국내의 여런 항공기개발 사업과 관련하여 급속히 요구되고 있는 항공기의 sub-system을 국산화할 수 있는 기술축적을 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 항공기용 환경제어장치(Environmental Control System : ECS)를 개발대상으로 하여 그 핵심부품인 Air Cycle Machine의 시제품을 순수 국내 기술로 설계/제작하였고, 자체 개발한 성능시험기를 이용하여 성능시험을 수행하였으며 또한 ACM 성능을 검증하기 위하여 기존제품의 자료와 비교하였다. 향후 이 시스템의 상품화를 위해서는 구동축의 무윤활 베어링에 대한 연구가 병행되어 주유동의 오일오염을 국소화시키는 시스템보완이 요구된다. 항공기용 환경제어장치(ECS)의 시스템해석부터 ACM의 공력/구조설계, 제작, 시험등 일련의 개발과정을 통하여 시스템에 대한 해석능력이 향상되었고, 그 핵심요소인 ACM의 순수 국산화개발이 가능하다는 판단을 내릴 수 있었다. 또한, ACM을 구성하고 있는 원심압축기와 반경류형 터빈의 제작 및 시험법은 유사 시스템 및 일반 터보기계류의 국산화개발에 유용하게 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • The practices of the construction and management of the petroleum and hazardous chemical compound storage facilities in Korea were investigated extensively, and the problems were identified. The advanced technologies in the U.S.A were comparatively studied. Considering the effectiveness of leak prevention and applicability, the following measures were suggested. To prevent corrosion of a tank, a clad tank, an interior lining tank, or a double-wall tank were thought to be the most cost effective. For piping. use of non-metalic materials was suggested. A catchment basin seemed to be effective for preventing spills. For monitoring of leaks, constructions of more than one of detection systems, such as an automatic leak detection device. a vapor detection system, a groundwater monitoring system, or a double-wall monitoring system, were recommended.

A Study on Damage Assessment for Fuel Cell Facilities in Gas Stations (주유소 내 연료전지설비에 대한 사고피해예측 연구)

  • Fuel cells are low-carbon power sources that can expand distributed energy system and electric vehicle charging infrastructure when installing fuel cells in gas stations. In order to ensure safety for fuel cells in gas stations, quantitative risk assessments were conducted after deriving accident scenarios based on accident data of domestic and foreign gas stations and fuel cells. It calculates the expected extent of damage from fire and explosion that can occur in reality, not the worst accident scenario, and analyzes the damage impact. The separation distance of more than 9.0 m from a dispenser, 15.5 m from a car under refueling, 4.1 m from the ventilation pipe, 1.1 m from the gas adjustment device prevent the severe damage caused by the expected accident. This study result can be used to deploy fuel cells in gas stations and establish safety measures.

Development of Automatic Grease Lubricator for Gas Generation Type of Galvanic Electricity (동전기적 가스발생방식의 자동윤활주유기 개발)

  • Automatic grease lubricator is an equipment that provides adequate amount of fresh grease constantly to the shaft and bearings of machines. It minimizes the friction heat and reduces the friction loss of machines to the least. This paper is developing an automatic grease lubricator using a mode of the gas generation type from galvanic electricity. The ultimate goal of this equipment is to lubricate an adequate amount of grease with galvanic corrosion. In an electrolyte, combining anode(Mo) with cathode(Zn) is pressing out hydrogen gas of an galvanic element with galvanic reaction. The characteristics of this method is continuous flowing small hydrogen gas and controling the usage of the amount of the generation of hydrogen gas. The exterior body of grease lubricator was analyzed by Digital Mock-up of CATIA V5 and finite element analysis. The maximum stress is distributed over the outlet part where the grease lubricator suddenly narrowly contracts. The outlet part is analyzed with different constructed angle due to the different loading and setting angles. Using the analyzed design, RP trial products were producted and tested.
