In designing a video-on-demand (VoD) system, one of the major challenges is how to reduce the viewer's waiting time maintaining a given bandwidth allocation and how to reduce the client's buffer requirements. To solve these problems, many VoD schemes were proposed. However, most VoD schemes require managing many segments of a video, frequency channel hopping, and using many channels at the same time. Therefore, to the complexity is a barrier to implementation. In this paper, we propose a fast staggered broadcasting scheme which has a simple structure and substantially improved VoD efficiency. The numerical results demonstrate that the viewer's waiting time of the fast staggered broadcasting scheme is close to the fast broadcasting scheme and the buffer requirements of this can be adapt for demanding rate by adjusting the short front part of a video sizes.

In designing a video-on-demand (VoD) system, the major challenge may be how to reduce the channels concurrently used maintaining the client's waiting time. For this reason, the various architectures which integrate the multicast streams with the unicast streams were suggested in order to improve channel efficiency in recent years. In combining multicast with unicast, the ways to group the unicast channels together are important so that clients can share the multicast transmission channels. This paper proposes a hybrid video-on-demand system which gathers the unicast channels in new ways and shares multicast transmission channels efficiently by using dynamic channel allocation architecture. The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed architecture in some case achieves performance gain of $551{\%}$ compared to existing architecture. This paper presents procedure of channel release and reuse, performance analysis, and simulation results of the dynamic channel allocation architecture.

As information society is more and more deeloped, the importance of information filtering is gradually growing. That is, it is crucial to select the exactly necessary information for making decisions among a variety ofinformation. This study reviewed the theoretical framework of information filtering, which is systematically carrying out the above-mentioned mission in the space of producing and transferring digital information likewise Internet, and examined the informat n services on demand by applying information filtering. The more efficient information center is, the more positive it is to find out the way to give users value-added information through continuous monitoring, filtering and evaluation of incoming information.

최근에 일반인의 영상과 자신의 이미지에 대한 대중적 관심은 새로운 멀티미디어 응용 서비스를 모색하게 한다. 그러므로, 컴퓨터 그래픽스 기술 및 다양한 멀티미디어 관련기술을 이용해서 기존의 영상 소프트를 재가공하고, 이를 이용자에게 서비스한다면 고부가가치를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이용자의 개인 이미지와 기존의 영상 소프트를 이용해서 이용자가 원하는 내용의 영상 소프트를 제공하기 위한 멀티미디어 응용시스템인 주문형 개인 이미지(PIOD; Personal Image On Demand) 시스템을 제안하고, 이를 위해서 필요한 기술 및 문제점에 대해서 고찰하도록 한다.

비디오 영상은 파일이 크기 때문에 다운로드가 완료된 다음에 재생을 시작하는 것이 아니라 수신이 되는 대로 재생이 되어야한다. 이와 같은 스트리밍 서비스는 주문형 비디오 서비스를 비롯한 다양한 상용시스템에 필수요소이다. 스트리밍 기능을 제공하는 여러 가지 서버 중, 본 논문에서는 다윈 스트링 서버를 설치하고 주문형비디오 서비스 시스템을 구축하는 방법을 소개한다.

In providing video-on-demand (VoD) services to a number of clients through networks, the bandwidth requirements of video transmission restrict VoD services. For this reason, many significant broadcasting-based VoD schemes have been proposed to efficiently support services. However, the broadcasting-based VoD schemes approach needs frequency channel hopping, using many channels at the same time and managing many segments of a video. These make it difficult to implement. In this paper, we propose a Harmonic Staggered broadcasting scheme which has a simple structure and substantially improved VoD efficiency. The numerical results demonstrate that the viewer's waiting time of the Harmonic Staggered broadcasting scheme is close to the harmonic broadcasting scheme and the maximum buffer requirements of this can be adapted for demanding rate by adjusting the short front part of a video sizes.

In this study, the fast-growing market in the Food Service Industry Study of the delivery service. The first objective of this study is to classify consumers food-related lifestyle and the second is the dimension of the delivery service quality will derive. According to the consumer's food-related life style, make about the consumer's delivery service quality perception and satisfaction to evaluate the differences. Food-related lifestyle 'health seeking type', 'fashion pursuit type', 'type taste pursue', 'seek safety-type', 'seek convenience-type' was separated, cluster analysis 'taste pursuit group', 'high-interest in foods group', 'seek convenience-group' were classified. Delivery service quality 'food quality', 'economic', 'ease of ordering', 'employee quality', 'sanitation', 'order quality' and were classified into six. That of 'food quality' and 'economic' factor were significantly different from the consumer group, but also the 'order quality', 'food quality', 'sanitation' and the order of the large degree of influence on satisfaction, respectively.

오늘날 폐쇄형 IPTV 서비스 환경에서는 일방적인 콘텐츠 제공자로부터 생성 및 생성된 콘텐츠를 소비자가 일방적으로 소비하는 형태이다. 그러나 기존 디지털 콘텐츠의 유통 및 소비과정에서 콘텐츠를 보호하기 위한 각 제공 업체의 솔루션이 독자적인 방식으로 개발되어 이들 간의 호환성 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문은 IP 네트워크를 통해 소비자가 개인 방송 콘텐츠 사업자와 같이 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 생성, 편집하고 고유한 방식으로 스타일대로 콘텐츠를 메타데이타와 함께 패키지 콘텐츠로 재가공하여 소비할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 재가공된 패키지 콘텐츠를 공유 또는 재판매 할 수 있게 하는 개방형 IPTV 서비스 환경에서의 패키지 콘텐츠의 실시간 스트리밍 및 주문형 서비스의 차별적 제공 방안을 제안한다.

IPTV 서비스는 사업자별로 구성되어 있는 폐쇄적 서비스망에서 VoD 및 방송서비스를 특징으로 하였다. 사업자별 폐쇄성은 사용자의 이용환경의 제약뿐만 아니라 서비스 자원의 이용효율성을 저하시킴으로써, 중복투자 등의 비용적인 부담을 초래하게 되었다. 또한, 다양한 유무선 단말의 수용과 사용자 특성을 고려한 다양한 서비스의 제공요구는 사업자간 또는 서비스 제공자간의 서비스 자원의 상호 공유의 동기를 부여하게 되었다. 이에 본 논문은 오픈 IPTV 서비스 플랫폼에서 제공하는 다양한 서비스 요소들을 융합하여 새로운 융합서비스를 생성하고 제공하는 일련의 구조에 대해 연구하였다. 본 논문에서는 주문형 비디오 서비스를 융합서비스의 예로 삼았으며, 주문형 비디오 서비스를 제공함에 있어, 사용자의 주어진 특성(예를들면, 성별, 연령대 등)에 따른 콘텐츠의 추천을 확장하여, 사용자의 사회적 성향을 반영함으로써, 성별, 연령대에 따른 획일적인 콘텐츠 제공을 극복하고 사용자의 개별적인 성향을 반영하는 콘텐츠 제공방법을 연구하였다.

In this paper, a von system which is based on current computer technologies is implemented. This von system organizes many personal computers in a local network into a configuration server, storage servers, and clients. To provide reliability, the data is stored using software RAID technology. Also, multimedia services are client-based for efficiency. The software components of this von system are the von configuration software, the von configuration service software, the von management software, and the von service software. Only the von service software runs in the client, while all the others run in the configuration server. The operating system on which the configuration server is run is the Windows NT such that the software executes like the UNIX-daemon process in the Windows NT service manager.
