  • 일반적으로 금형공업은 전형적인 중소기업형 공업으로 계획생산보다는 주문 생산방식으로 운영되고 있으며 부가 가치가 높은 산업이다. 또한 업태가 다양하고 산업구조의 선진화에 비례하여 기업체 수가 증가하는 추세이며 고정밀도, 고숙련도를 요하는 고도의 기술 집약적 산업이다. 정밀도의 향상, 인력절감, 자동화와 함께 금형 공장내의 제한된 자원을 효율적으로 이용하고 공장자동화를 촉진하기 위한 각 부문별 자동화 시스템, 컴퓨터 시스템을 정보 Network 로 접속해 공장내 제반관련자료를 유효하게 활용할 수 있는 Total System으로서의 공장운영 시스템의 도입ㆍ필요성이 대두되고 있다.(중략)

  • We can agree that Quality Control in manufacturing industry have been improved successfully, but in construction industry, for example Sungsoo-Bridge broken out, Sampung Department store collapse, subway construction site explosion. and etc, it is difficult to be done. Because in manufacturing industry, they complete each other. If quality is not good. products aren't sold out. to sell more products they have to improve their products quality by themselves. However in construction industry they don't effort to improve quality if they get an order. Because if they get an order only completing their product is their job. There are engineering side, culturing side, and educational side to improve product quality. In this thesis I investigated evaluation system in construction industry. I am going to propose evaluation system by which they have effort to improve the quality even in construction industry.

  • Shipbuilding is an order made assembly production basically. To build a single vessel, it costs hundreds of thousands small and big parts and million tons of structural steel. From contract to delivery, It takes 2 years of time in general. Shipbuilding parts are supplied order made based in and out of the country. For the cost and efficiency issue, on-time supply of ship parts is critical. Thus, this study suggests the optimum material management system plan of ship components for the best result.

Algorithms for Production Planning and Scheduling in an Assembly System Operating on a Make-to-Order Basis (주문생산방식을 따르는 조립시스템에서의 생산계획 및 일정계획을 위한 알고리듬)

  • This paper focuses on production planning and scheduling problems in an assembly system operating on a make-to-order basis. Due dates are considered as constraints in the problems, that is, tardiness is not allowed. Since the planning problem is a higher-level decision making than the scheduling problem, the scheduling problem is solved using a production plan obtained by solving the planning problem. We suggest heuristic procedures in which aggregated information is used when the production planning problem is solved while more detailed information is used when the scheduling problem is solved. Since a feasible schedule may not be obtained from a production plan, an iterative approach is employed in the two procedures to obtain a solution that is feasible for both the production planning and scheduling problems. Computational tests on randomly generated test problems are done to show the performance of these algorithms, and results are reported.

  • The packaging plastic manufacturing(blown film) industry has long developed in China, but most of them are small/medium-sized enterprises, and it is very rare to have appropriate operation plans suitable for their own business. The packaging plastic manufacturing industry(blown film) follows a typical Make-To-Order method, and the sequence of processing orders is very important. Waste of materials incurred by frequent conversions of production cannot be avoided, and generally, related costs incurred during conversion production are also different. Therefore, this study developed a job sequence determination model for improving operating profits using @RISK simulation software, compared and analyzed 3 actionable clustering treatment methods proposed by technical managers and field experts under the actual situation of the factory.

  • In the new millenium of information and digital age, the vogue cycle has been gelling shorter and shorter and the individualistic and high quality preference of contemporary consumers drive the small quantity production by order. The traditional screen printing system can not hold the competitive edge anymore. In order to actively meet the demand of the fast evolving market, compete with other nations, and produce high value-added products, we need the new production system to meet the individual needs promptly. Mass production using the traditional screen printing system has the economic advantage of the production speed and cost. The digital textile printing system digitalizes the total process from the design to the printing and omits the separation and engraving. It is more suitable to produce the multiple item-small quantity and add more values to its products. It has also the advantage of less pollution problem.

  • 본 사례연구는 자동차용 스프링 제조업체의 생산합리화를 위하여 조립라인에서의 효율적인 조립을 위한 전 생산공정의 평준화 생산 방안에 관한 것이다. 조립라인에서 조립작업의 지연 및 불균형은 그 근본 원인이 애로공정인 열간작업 및 열처리공정에서의 모델별.낱장로트별로 작업공정 구성과 작업처리속도에서 불균형을 이루기 때문이다. 결국 열간작업과 열처리공정이 전공정에서의 생산량과 공정간재고를 통제한다. 위와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 모기업의 수요를 기점으로하여 필요한 제품을 필요한 양만큼 필요할 때에 공급할 수 있는 마케트인(market in)방식의 인출(pull)시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 따라서 전 생산공정을 크게 압연공정, 열간작업공정, 열처리.조립공정으로 나누어서 용량(capacity)측면에서가 아니라 흐름(flow)측면에서 주문품목에 대하여 모델별.낱장별로 그룹화하고 모델별 조립작업순서와 열처리공정의 투입순서 및 투입량, 열간작업에 대한 작업순서를 결정하여 전체의 생산공정이 평준화 될 수 있는 생산통제방안을 제시한다. 아울러 이 생산통제 방안들의 타당성을 평가하기 위하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통한 분석도 행하였다.

  • In Build-to-Order manufacturing systems, products are usually manufactured by a pull system. The manufacturers order only what they need when it is needed. The suppliers are expected to deliver parts as much as needed. When the part demand fluctuates significantly, this places lots of challenges on the suppliers. In this letter, we explore the decision issues regarding part supplies for Build-to-Order manufacturing systems, especially in the auto industry, and suggest how to address them in order to make the manufacturing systems work more efficiently.

Globalization of Korean Textile Design (한국텍스타일디자인의 세계화 방안)

  • The Korean textile industry contributed much to the country's economic success during the 1970s-80s. Since the end of the 1980s, however, most of the Korean textile industry has begun to suffer from both high labor costs and skilled-labor shortage. During this period, such countries as China, Indonesia, and Malaysia began to gain strong foothold in the global textile market, mainly owing to considerably low label costs. To maintain competitiveness in the global textile market, the Korean textile industry should undergo a structural change. It should switch from the mass production of low quality design to selective praction of high quality and well-designed textiles. An cement of high value-added should be put into the textile product.: Usage of functional material, new processing technology, automation, pro-environmental dye shes, and strategic marketing is required. In this appear, I suggest ways and means to make the Korean textile design be good enough to compete in the global market.

  • The industry producing the parts of aircraft engines is a traditional order-made system with highly variety and small quantity, and the manufacturing system is the typical job shop with identical or non-identical multiple machines in a workstation. Furthermore, there are many alternative operations and alternative machines allowed in machining processes, and tremendous routings and assembly operations should be considered. Usually simulation is the most efficient technology to analyze such a complex system, and high modeling skills are required for developing the simulation models. In this paper, a case study on a company which produces the parts of aircraft engines is introduced, specially focused on simulation modeling methodologies for the complex system.
