A Development of the Side Inspection System for A Circularity Using 8 Side Mirrors Method (8각 미러에 의한 원형제품의 측면검사시스템 개발)

  • In this study, a side inspection system for circular o-ring, bolt, plastic and gasket using 8 side mirrors has been developed. The system is comprised of a CCD camera, an illumination, the first 8 mirrors and the second 8 mirrors, and moreover the image processing algorithm for detecting three different type samples is developed. The effectiveness of this algorithm was experimentally verified with three different type samples, and the inspection process is completed within max 0.2 second by help of smart camera. It is envisaged that this inspection method for side inspection system of a circular will have a wide application in the future industry.

Step Size Normalization for Maximum Cross-Correntropy Algorithms (최대 상호코렌트로피 알고리듬을 위한 스텝사이즈 정규화)

  • The maximum cross-correntropy (MCC) algorithm with a set of random symbols keeps its optimum weights undisturbed from impulsive noise unlike MSE-based algorithms and its main factor has been known to be the input magnitude controller (IMC) that adjusts the input intensity according to error power. In this paper, a normalization of the step size of the MCC algorithm by the power of IMC output is proposed. The IMC output power is tracked recursively through a single-pole low-pass filter. In the simulation under impulsive noise with two different multipath channels, the steady state MSE and convergence speed of the proposed algorithm is found to be enhanced by about 1 dB and 500 samples, respectively, compared to the conventional MCC algorithm.

  • In this paper, a method that dynamically adapts the traffic flow of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) used in automated container terminals to the changing operational condition is presented. In a container terminal, the AGVs are vulnerable to traffic congestion because a large number of AGVs operate in a limited area. In addition, dynamically changing operational condition requires the traffic flow of AGVs to be continuously adjusted to keep up with the change. The proposed method utilizes a genetic algorithm to optimize the traffic flow. Exploiting the dynamic nature of the problem an approach that reuses the results of the previous search is tried to speed up the convergence of the genetic algorithm. The results of simulation experiments show the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • We present an interactive cloth simulation method based on the mass-spring model, which is the most widely used one in the field of cloth animation. We focus especially on the case where relatively strong forces are applied on relatively small number of mass-points. Through distributing the forces on some specific points to the overall mass-points, our method simulates the cloth in pseudo-real time. Given a deformed cloth, we start from resolving the super-elasticity effect using Provot's dynamic inverse method [9]. In the next stage, we adjust the angles between neighboring mass-points, to finally remove the unexpected zigzags due to the previous super-elasticity resolving stage.

  • 직선운동하는 하전입자의 진행방향에 수직한 평면상에 서로 직교하는 전기장과 자기장을 걸어주면, 하전입자에는 전기장에 의한 힘 FE와 자기장과 속도 v에 의한 로렌츠력 $F_B=q(v{\times}B)$가 동시에 작용하게 된다. 이때 Wien 조건 FB=-FE를 만족하는 질량 mA과, 에너지 EA를 가지는 하전입자 A는 휘지 않고 직선운동을 계속하나, 하전입자 A와 다른 에너지 $E_B\;(=E_A+{\delta}E)$나 질량 $m_B\;(=m_A+{\delta}m)$을 가지는 하전입자는 휘게 되며, 그 휘는 정도는 ${\delta}E$${\delta}m$에 비례하게 된다. 이 현상을 이용하여 다양한 종류의 에너지 또는 질량 분석기가 독일, 미국, 일본 등의 분석기기 선진국에서 개발되어 왔고, 전자현미경의 이미지 필터로도 활용되고 있으며, 통상 EXB 필터 또는 발명자의 이름을 딴 Wien 필터로 불리어지고 있다. $E{\times}B$ 필터는 일반적인 하전입자빔 렌즈와 다른 광학특성을 가지며, 지난 발표에서는 $E{\times}B$ 필터의 기본 궤도 방정식 및 다양한 2차 기하 수차 방정식의 유도과정 및 결과를 보여주었다. 본 발표에서는 EXB 필터의 전후에 배치시켜, 초점거리 등의 조정을 수행할 4극자와, $E{\times}B$ 필터에서 발생하는 2차 수차의 보정을 수행할 6극자의 광학특성의 계산 결과를 보여준다. 4극자-6극자-EXB필터-6극자-4극자 조합의 기본 광학궤도 계산 결과는 빔 다이어그램으로 보여준다. 6극자에 의해 수차를 줄여서 향상되는 에너지 분해능 값은 수치적으로 추정한다. 실제 제작이 된 각 부품의 외형 및 사진을 보여주어 에너지 필터의 제작 진행 상황을 보고한다.

  • This paper is a study on robust PID controller tuning technique using the frequency region model matching method.To design the robust PID controller satisfying disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property for a reference input first an {{{{ETA _$\infty$}}}} controller satisfying given performances is designed using an H$_{\infty}$ control method, And then the parameters(proportional gain integral gain and derivation gain) of the robust PID controller with the performances of the desinged H$_{\infty}$ controller are determined using the model matching method at frequency domain. in this paper this PID controller tuning technique is applied to PID speed controller design for BLDC motors. Consequently simulation results show that the proposed PID speed controller satisfies load torque disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property and this study has usefulness and applicability for the speed control system; design of BLDC motors.

  • In active noise control filter, IIR filter structure which used for control filter assures the stability property. The stability characteristics of IIR filter structure is mainly determined by pole location of control filter within unit disc, so stable selection of the value of control filter coefficient is very important. In this paper, we proposed novel adaptive stabilized Filtered_U LMS algorithms with IIR filter structure which has better convergence speed and less computational burden than conventional FIR structures, for multi-channel active noise control with vehicle enclosure signal case. For better convergence speed in adaptive algorithms, fuzzy LMS algorithms where convergence coefficient computed by a fuzzy PI type controller was proposed.

  • In this study, we tried to derive the most severe scenario and its critical speed by 1-D collision simulation with a variable formation vehicle in order to prepare for the change of demand in Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 3, which is operated by fixed arrangement. After establishing various collision scenario conditions, the friction coefficient between the wheel and the rail was evaluated as 0.3, which is considered to be severe. As a result of analysis according to all scenarios, the most severe scenario conditions were confirmed by comparing rubber shock absorber performance and vehicle collision deceleration. In addition, a typical wheel-rail friction coefficient was derived through accident cases, and the analysis was performed again and compared. Finally, the criterion of the critical speed in the condition of the friction coefficient of the normal wheel - rail condition was confirmed.

  • In this study, the GSP and in-house numerical codes have been used for analyses of the on-design, static off-design and dynamic off-design performances. Through the various missions including altitude, velocity, and power variations the static engine performance have been investigated. The dynamic engine performances based on these complicated variations have been also analyzed. Especially, the power, engine rpm and heat overload characteristics of the turbine have been estimated with the response time through the control of the throttle setting rather than the power setting. It could be applied to the FADEC system as an engine control device.

  • The retarder as a hydraulic brake system in order to assist a service brakes in commercial vehicle is operated by automatic and manual mode due to driver. Braking energy by retarder operation is transmitted to the engine radiator of vehicle cooling system, passing through the retarder oil heat exchanger. At this moment, the retarder ECU performs the function that is controlled a braking torque with consideration for automatic and manual mode, temperature of retarder oil/water, engine coolant temperature, vehicle speed, and etc. In this paper, it deals with the design of retarder control logic and the results of retarder braking performance test regarding a cooling system of retarder and vehicle.
