Information gained from facebook has a very important value to be reflected in the policy or to understand public opinions. Long-term storage for this information should be considered. In the case of overseas, tools for long-term storage of documentary facebook have recently been developed. However, it does not save all the data in facebook and ignores the principles for long-term storage. These tools are limited to a simple backup. Therefore, this study aims to investigate how to reproduce, store and collect facebook page records of the government ministries.

Congress established the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) to ensure that the public has free access to the Government's information. Operated by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), the mission of the FDLP is to disseminate information products from all three branches of the Government to over 1,250 Depository libraries in the FDLP program nationwide. Depository libraries safeguard the American public's right to information by making Government information in all formats freely available. This paper discusses the role of the GPO and FDLP, the GPO's organizational structure, the Depository library's obligations and responsibilities, services and collections, referrals and networking, and the Depository's future and challenges.
Records management refers to a series of activities to achieve the goal of securing transparency in administration and safely preserving and utilizing records. Each process of record management is largely divided into production, preservation and management stage. The reporting system of record production has an important fuction that serves as a bridge between production stage and preservation and management stage. It was established after the enactment of the Act on Records Management of Public Agencies in 1999, to grasp the state of production and management of records of various organizations. Since then the National Archives of Korea(NAK) has been able to rather actively understand the situation of records and acquire them than simply collect them. The Act, which was revised in 2006, regulates electronically automated reporting methods in which the production reporting datas are generated in the record creation system and transferred to the record management system. Despite improvements in the system, electronic reporting methods are being used in part. The 713 public institutions have submitted reports of record production to the NAK in 2017, and this study analyses them of only 47 central administrative agencies, including departments, offices, agencies, and committees. Their reports have 15 forms which consist of production statistics and inventories of 7 types of records including general records, survey, research, review, minutes, shorthand, audiovisual records, secret records, government publications. This suggests implications for improving the reporting system of record production.

The study aims at providing a practical, rather then conceptual, guideline for transferring electronic records for the purpose of applicable to the archives in Korea. To achieve this purpose the study analyzed ISO, AHDS, and CCSDS transfer guidelines, examined requirements for transferring records in one Korean government agency as a testbed, and finally developed a proposed guideline for e-records transfer that is suitable for Korea settings. The study is deemed significant in that the proposed guideline is derived from a case study and analysis of major transfer guidelines available.
The national records management system of the Korean Government has been developed in a close relationship with changes in the administrative system. The national records management system established immediately after the establishment of the Korean Government, began to be reformed as a system with a new feature during the quick transition of the administrative system during the early 1960s. Particularly this new system holds an important meaning in that it began to cope with the mass production system of records and was established on the government level for the first time since the establishment of the government. Also this was a basic framework that defined the records management pattern of the Korean Government for the later 40 years. Therefore, this study aims to identify the origin and the meaning of the national records management system established during the early 1960s. At the time of establishing the government, the administrative system of the Korean Government was not completely free from the framework of the administrative system of the Chosen General Government. This was mainly because the Korean Government had no capability to renovate the administrative system. This was not an exception also for the national records management system. In other words, the forms and preparation methods of official document, an official document management process, and the classification and appraisal system used the records management system of the Chosen General Government without any alteration. Main factors that brought about the reform of the national records management system as well as the change in the Korean administrative system during the early 1960s, were being created in Korean society, starting from the mid 1950s. This resulted from the growth of Korean Army, public officers, and students of administrative science as being the intrinsic elites of Korean society through their respective experience of the US administration. In particular, the reform of the creation, classification, filing, transfer, and preservation system shown during the introduction of a scientific management system of the US Army in the Korean Army was a meaningful change given the historic developing process of Korean records management system history. This change had a decisive effect on the reform of the national records management system during the early 1960s. As the Korean Army, public officers, and students of administrative science, who had posted growth beginning in the mid-1950s, emerged as administrative elites during the early 1960s, the administrative system of the Korean Government brought about a change, which was different from the past in terms of its quality, and the modernization work of documentary administration pursued during the period, became extended to the reform of the national records management system. Then, the direction of reform was 'the efficient and effective control' over records based on scientific management, which was advanced through the medium of the work that accommodate the US office management system and a decimal filing system to Korean administrative circumstances. Consequently, Various official document forms, standards, and the gist of process were improved and standardized, and the appraisal system based on the function-based classification were unified on the government level by introducing a decimal filing system.

This study aims to suggest measures for handling copyright information on government publications during records and archives management to use them freely as public works according to Article 24-2 of the Copyright Act in Korea. Through email interviews with 17 records managers, persons in charge of government publication management, and government staff with experience in production from April 4 to June 13, 2022, this study determined the current situations and problems related to producing and managing copyright information on government publications. Based on the interview findings, this research suggested the following. First, Article 24-2 of the Copyright Act must be revised to apply the Korea Open Government License (KOGL) type 1 mandatorily to all public works. Second, a cooperative system for managing copyright information on government publications should be established to improve their production and management effectiveness. Third, copyright information, such as authors, copyright holders, copyright duration, information on the copyright property transfer, public works status, and reasons for nonpublic works, must be managed through records and archives management systems. Fourth and last, information on public works must be provided during the registration number application for government publication so that everyone can access the full texts of the publications on the National Archives of Korea website.

Managing and preserving parliamentary archives are significant national tasks. However, in South Korea significance of these tasks have not been recognized. The first exclusive organization for parliamentary archives management was established in 2000, It took about 50 years after the first South Korean government was established in 1948. The first legislation which regulated parliamentary archives management was enacted in 2001. There were no significant improvement on the regulation for the last decade. In April 2011 it was newly revised according to the amendment of the Act on Public Records Management. In this context this study critically analyzes the regulation and discusses various issues concerning the parliamentary archives management system. Retention schedule is the most essential tool for accurate documentation of government activities. The purpose of this study is to provide a guideline for redesigning retention schedules to support systematic documentation of government activities, that can replace the existing retention schedule ('bunryukijunpyo'). This present paper begins with articulating the role of retention schedules in life cycle management of records based on ISO 15489. And it compares and analyses 'disposal authorities' of Australia, 'records schedules' of United States. and the existing records retention schedules of Korea, in terms of types, structure and components of retention schedules. Based on these analyses, it suggests directives to redesign the retention schedules at the state level.
