중등영재학생들의 수학적 사고의 선호도와 논리적 문제의 해결능력에 관한 연구

  • 수학적 사고의 입장에서 중등학생들이 수학적 문제해결에 논리적 사고와 직관적 사고가 어떻게 작용하는지를 연구하는 것은 수학교육에서 중요하고도 흥미로운 과제의 하나이다. 본 연구의 주된 목적은 중등학교 영재학생을 대상으로 이러한 문제를 조사하는 것이다. 특히 이들 중등영재학생들의 논리적 사고와 직관적 사고에 대한 선호도와 논리적 문제의 문제해결능력 사이의 관계를 조사한다.

  • 본 연구는 초등학생들의 논리적 사고력을 신장시키기 위해 지식 기반 프로그램인 선언적 프로그램을 통해 교육현장에서도 적용할 수 있는 프로그래밍 교육을 제언하고자 한다. 학생들에게 논리적 사고 중에서도 협의의 논리적 사고 즉, 기호적 사고, 분석적 사고, 추론적 사고, 종합적 사고를 분석적 방법을 통해 실제 프로그래밍을 해 봄으로써 연역적 사고 또는 귀납적 사고를 보다 효과적이고 체계적인 프로그래밍을 할 수 있도록 지도함으로써 제 8차 교육과정에서의 컴퓨터 교육과정의 일부분으로서의 프로그래밍의 마인드를 제시하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 선언적 프로그램을 통해서 초등학교 학생들의 논리적 사고력 신장를 위하여 프로그래밍 교수학습의 방법적인 측면을 제시하고자 한다.

  • It is one of important and interesting topics in mathematics education to study the process of the logical thinking and the intuitive thinking in mathematical problem-solving abilities from the viewpoint of mathematical thinking. The main purpose of the present paper is to investigate on this problem with reference to secondary talented students (students aged 16~17 years). In particular, we focus on the relationship between the preference of mathematical thinking and their problem-solving abilities for logical-type problems by applying logistic regression analysis.

  • In current knowledge-based society, national competitiveness and growth of society depend on advances in information and communication technologies considerably. In order to grow advances in information and communication technologies, it is essential to identify and foster gifted children in IT as early as possible. In gifted education in IT, enhancing programming ability and logical thinking ability is very important and is also a part of objectives of gifted education in IT. The purpose of this paper is to identify correlation of programming ability and logical thinking ability for the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, gifted children from a gifted institution at Seoul are selected and their test scores during the period of attendance at institution are analyzed. Also, for extensive analysis, the test scores had been collected for 6 years. Based on thorough statistical analysis, the conclusion is that programming ability and logical thinking ability highly correlate each other. This conclusion can be used to decide and affect a selection examination, curriculum, and selection of an exemplary programming language for gifted education in IT.

  • 지식기반 사회에서는 새로운 지식을 만들어 낼 수 있는 능력과 융통성, 문제해결력, 논리적 사고력 등을 가진 인재를 필요로 하고 있다. 알고리즘 교육은 학생들의 정보마인드와 정보적 사고, 논리적 사고능력의 신장을 위하여 반드시 필요하며, 이는 다변화 되어가는 사회에서 다양한 문제를 해결해 나가는 능력을 키우는 데 큰 역할을 할 것이다. 이에 본 논문은 논리적 사고력 신장을 위한 생활 속의 알고리즘 교육 방법을 모색하여 제안하고자 한다.

  • The necessity of computer science education has been increased in the society which has been changing rapidly by the development of information science. But most elementary school teachers don't realize its necessity and don't recognize the notion of computational thinking which is the fundamental principle of computer science. In this research, we designed and implemented an algorithm learning program based on computational thinking with using Logo, which was for pre-service elementary school teachers to be able to realize the necessity of computer science education and recognize computational thinking. As the findings analyzed between pre- and post-test, the averages of correlational reasoning, combinatorial reasoning and the sum of overall logical thinking increased significantly. Also, participants' awareness of computer science education and computational thinking changed positively.

  • 현재 컴퓨터 교육은 흥미와 실용위주의 컴퓨터 활용교육과 컴퓨터 소양교육에 치우쳐 있어 컴퓨터의 작동원리 등의 컴퓨터 과학을 이해하기에는 부족함이 많다. 특히 컴퓨터과학 분야 중 문제해결력, 논리적 사고력을 향상시키기 위한 프로그래밍 기초 교육은 보다 강조해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 객체지향형 교육용프로그래밍언어 두리틀을 초등학생들에게 프로그래밍을 지도할 수 있는 최적의 언어로 선정하고 다른 프로그래밍 언어와 비교 분석해 보았다. 그리고 자기 자신의 학습상황을 감독 관리하는 능력인 메타인지 수준에 따라 학습자를 분류한 후, 두리틀 프로그래밍 학습 후 논리적 사고와 그 하위논리의 효과, 그리고 메타인지 수준에 따른 논리적 사고와 그 하위 논리별로 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

The Features of Intuitive Thinking Emerged During Problem Solving Activities About Thermal Phenomena: When Intuitive Thinking Appears and How it is Related to Logical Thinking (열 현상에 대한 초등학생들의 문제해결 과정에서 나타나는 직관적 사고의 특징 -발현의 맥락 및 논리적 사고와의 관계를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the features of elementary students' intuitive thinking emerged during problem solving activities as it related to thermal phenomena, focusing on when intuitive thinking appears and how it is related to logical thinking. For this, we presented a problem related to thermal phenomena to nine 5th-grade students, and examined how students' thinking emerged in the activities. We conducted clinical interviews to investigate the thinking process of students. The results of this study are as follows. First, students made their own solutions and justified it later during the emergence process of intuitive thinking. It was also found that students connected concrete materials and abstract concepts intuitively. They solved the problem by making predictions even when information is insufficient. Second, it was shown that intuitive thinking can emerge through the intended strategies such as drawing a mental image, thinking from a different perspective, and integrating methods. These results, which are related to the students' intuitive thinking has received little attention and will be the basis for helping students in the context of discovery of their problem solving activities.

  • This paper is proposed to present elementary algorithmic thinking-based Squeak E-toy programming problems for flowchart-based programming educations without programming languages in elementary programming educations. Furthermore, this paper proves the validity and effects of developed Squeak E-toy programming problems through measurement analyses of metacognition and GALT logical thinking ability experiments by comparing with the language-based traditional programming education.

창의성과 비판적 사고

  • The main thesis of this article is that the decisive point of creativity education is the cultivation of critical thinking capability. Although the narrow conception of creativity as divergent thinking is not subsumed under that of critical thinking, the role of divergent thinking is not so crucial in the science context of creative problem-solving. On the contrary, the broad conception of creativity as focusing on the reference to utility and the third conception of creativity as a process based on the variation and combination of existing pieces of information are crucial in creative problem-solving context, which are yet subsumed under that of critical thinking. The emphasis on critical thinking education is connected with the characteristics of contemporary knowledge-based society. This rapidly changing society requires situation-adaptive or situation-sensitive cognitive ability, whose core is critical thinking capability. Hence, the education of critical thinking is to be centered on the learning of blowing-how and procedural knowledge but not of knowing-that and declarative knowledge. Accordingly, the learning of critical thinking is to be headed towards the cultivation of competence but not just of performance. In conclusion, when a rational problem-solving through critical and logical thinking turns out consequently to be novel, we call it creative thinking. So, creativity is an emergent property based on critical and logical thinking.
