This research observes how an adolescent's usage of social network services is related with media use time, and also tries to verify how a parent's participation in acting to limit usage time serves as a mediating effect. For this analysis, data from The Korean Information Society Development Institute [Korea Media Panel Research] was used, being a survey conducted on 1,572 students from primary to secondary and high schools nationwide. The subjects' gender in the final analysis was 818 male students and 754 female students. In addition, primary school students consisted of 672 individuals, 416 were from secondary and 484 from high schools. To verify the appropriateness of the model proposed in this research, analyzed through the structural equation, using social network services(SNS) was not shown to have an effect on media usage time. However, there was an indirect effect from the use of alternative activities. In addition, the parent's limitation of usage showed no effect on media use time. This research attempts to identify the reasons why parents' limiting the usage time, along with alternative activities, do not have any significant effect in reducing media usage time in this era of smart media evolution. Further, this research hopes to suggest meaningful and political implications for the nation and society to understand and resolve media addiction.

Because the increased number of Internet users and the common use of IT technology via the expansion of domestic IT infrastructure have increased the web site use of companies, Internet users have begun to experience a range of online websites. In a digital environment, entrepreneurial companies who have limited resources will require effective management by analyzing the critical factors of the website quality assessment and focusing their resources to seize the market because the website quality built in the company directly affects the satisfaction and purchase activity of the customers. In this study, a total of 523 surveys from the customers visiting online websites of the entrepreneurial companies were collected to analyze the factors between the influencing factors and satisfaction and purchase intention using the ServQual method in the AMOS 18.0 program. This analysis showed that the customers visiting the website are satisfied with the factors of tangibility, reliability and responsiveness of visited websites, and the factor of community, which indicates that the level of customer activity in the web sites is related significantly to the customers' purchase intentions.

Internet is absolutely contributed to information technology revolution nowadays. Internet services such as voice and data, etc. are provided home or small office via home gateway. The development of communication equipment via home gateway is implemented rapidly, and its product various. This paper presents the design and implementation of the VoIP equipment including the telephone function based on the embedded environment and being connected to the home gateway and the PC because of taking 2-ethernet LAN ports. As developing environment, the STLC1502 developed at ST Microelectronics as single chip solution, VxWorks as RTOS, and C language as coding mechanism are used. The verification of the developed systems for the voice test is carried out for the gatekeeper via Internet. The performance parameter is considered as the call processing capacity measuring the time of the call setup and clearing, and the data processing capacity for the file transfer. As a call setup and clearing is about 95ms, the call processing capacity is about 10 calls per second. The data processing capacity is 5.7Mbps in case of file transfer of server and client environment. Therefore the performance result is satisfied in the aspect of the call processing time and the data transfer time in Internet.

This study aimed to identify the problems of toy libraries by investigating and analyzing the identity and administration of toy library and so to propose the approaches to improve the legal and administrative status of toy library. In accordance with the analysis, only 9.8%(5) of 51 toy libraries in Korea was established on the basis of the Libraries Act. Most toy libraries were established and operated without any basis on legal institutions or toy library ordinances of local authorities(45%). The purposes of establishment were different from the identity of toy library specified in the provisions of Clause 1, 2 and 3, Article 2, Libraries Act, as 82.4% of toy libraries was established for rental of toys, providing game data and cultural activity service and distributing game programs. For the legal registration standards based on the Libraries Act, it was found that 96.1% exceeded the floorage requirements, 92.3% exceeded the seating requirement and 45.1% exceeded the collection requirement on the basis of the small libraries. Only 13.7% employed the librarians. Next, most toy libraries secured just 70% of the required budget. In conclusion, this study proposed the local authorities to establish the ordinances related to toy library on the basis of the Libraries Act. Next, it was also proposed for the toy libraries to register themselves in accordance with the Libraries Act for securing the legal status. Finally, the local authorities need to rationalize and support the budgets for rationalizing the administration of toy libraries.

Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(DMB) is a reliable multi-service system for reception by mobile and portable receivers. DMB system allows interference-free reception under the conditions of multipath propagation and transmission errors using COFDM modulation scheme, simultaneously, needs powerful channel error's correction ability. Viterbi Decoder for DMB receiver uses punctured convolutional code and needs lots of computations for real-time operation. So, it is desired to design a high speed and low-power hardware scheme for Viterbi decoder. This paper proposes a combined add-compare-select(ACS) and path metric normalization(PMN) unit for computation power. The proposed PMN architecture reduces the problem of the critical path by applying fixed value for selection algorithm due to the comparison tree which has a weak point from structure with the high-speed operation. The proposed ACS uses the decomposition and the pre-computation technique for reducing the complicated degree of the adder, the comparator and multiplexer. According to a simulation result, reduction of area $3.78\%$, power consumption $12.22\%$, maximum gate delay $23.80\%$ occurred from punctured viterbi decoder for DMB system.

This research analyzed determining factors of expenditure for processing fee by targeting trade show participants under a microeconomic approach in order to analyze determining factors of the participations of trade shows. As a result, with regard to the participation fees, income and the level of education seemed to be the socioeconomic factors that positively affected visitors in paying admission fees: and age and gender were negative elements. With regard to the participating businesses, the sales and the corporate history of the businesses were the positive elements to their willingness to pay the participation fees: however, the ratio of male and female personnel turned out to be a negative element in incurring the participation fees. The purchase of ticket was a positive mode-of participation factor to the visitors: however, distance tended to be a negative element for the visitors. For the participating businesses, the number of participation tended to be a positive element: however, distance was a negative one. The positive satisfaction factors that affected visitors' willingness to pay the participation fees included exhibited items, location, and schedules for events of the convention: for the participating businesses, the actual sales at the convention, the effects of advertisement and the level of satisfaction for location tended to play positive parts.

This study has analyzed on affecting factors of the customer's empathy toward the corporate philanthropic activities in terms of corporates and their products. From the corporate perspective, we have checked how the activities affect the perception of the customer familiarity and authenticity. Study shows that the fairness of the social contribution activities have an impact on both the familiarity and the authenticity (hypothesis 1, hypothesis 2). Social contributions reciprocity has been shown to influence familiarity (hypothesis 3) and it was not statistically significant to the authenticity (hypothesis 4). Looking at the relationship between the familiarity and authenticity from the product side, charm and familiarity (hypothesis 5), uniqueness and authenticity (hypothesis 8) showed that the impact on the definition. On the other hand charm and authenticity (hypothesis 6), uniqueness and familiarity (hypothesis 7) appeared to be not statistically significant. Finally, the relationship between familiarity, authenticity and empathy is as follows. First, the familiarity was found that it is affecting the authenticity (hypothesis 9) and for the consumer sympathetic (hypothesis 10) appeared to be not statistically significant. And the authenticity was found having a defined effect on the consumer sympathetic (hypothesis 11). It is really far more important to suggest an integrated approach to continue a sustainable and stable relationship by increasing consumer purchasing and empathy for the products and services of social enterprises. This study provides practical implications for marketing strategies of social enterprises, which can draw the consumer sympathy through the social contribution activities of social enterprise.

Currently, positioning methods for LBS(Location Based Service) are GPS and network-based positioning techniques that use mobile communication networks. In these methods, however, the accuracy of positioning decreases due to the propagation delay caused by the non-line-of-sight(NLOS) effect and the repeater. To address this disadvantage, the CDMA system uses Pattern Matching algorithm. The Pattern Matching algorithm constructs a database of the propagation characteristics of the RF signals measured during the GPS positioning along with the positioned locations, so that the location can be provided by comparing the propagation characteristics of the received signals and the database, upon a user's request. In the area where GPS signals are not received, however, a database cannot be constructed. There are problem that the accuracy of positioning decreases due to the area without a database Because Pattern Matching algorithm depend on database existence. Therefore, this paper proposed a pilot signal strength prediction algorithm to enable construction of databases for areas without databases, so as to improve the performance of the Pattern Matching algorithm. The database was constructed by predicting the pilot signals in the area without a database using the proposed algorithm, and the Pattern Matching algorithm analysed positioning performance.

A video conferencing system provides sharing the conference environment for geographically dispersed computer users who use the audio and video information. But the conventional video conferencing systems have some problems which are dependent on specific software and/or hardware and bound the certain platform and network environment. Furthermore the participants must know the information about other participants before joining the conference session and they have to use the same video conferencing system. This paper describes design and implementation of the video conferencing system on the WWW to solve the mentioned problems. The conference applications are transmitted from a WWW server and executed in the participants Web browsers. The participant can carry out conference services by using only the web browser. The WWW server takes charge of conferencing management including the information related to the participants and provides supported conference tools such as whiteboard, chatting and multimedia controls. Therefore the participants can easily join the conference sessions and perform conference working regardless of network connection situations. We used the Java to implement the seamless session connections and interaction between the conference participants which are the most important when implementing the video conferencing system on the WWW and used the ActiveX technology about the audio and video controls to make it easy the hardware control.

5.8GHz DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communications) is a short to medium range communications service that supports both public safety and private operations in roadside to vehicle and vehicle communication. However the 5.8GHz frequency may cause the shadowing effect or communication blocking problem when there is an obstacle or another vehicle between RSE (Road Side Equipment) and OBE (On Board Equipment). In this paper, to solve this problem of the 5.8GHz DSRC, we propose a relay protocol based on the standard of DSRC radio communication between RSE and OBE in the 5.8GHz band made by TTA (Telecommunication Technology Association). By using the proposed relay protocol to DSRC system and intervehicle communication, we also consider a fixed relay protocol and mobile relay protocol. We expect to apply this relay protocol for the DSRC intervehicle communication and video communication between drivers and safe distance among vehicles in the near future.
