We propose a recognition system for superimposed patterns based on selective attention model and SVM which produces better performance than artificial neural network. The proposed selective attention model includes attention layer prior to SVM which affects SVM's input parameters. It also behaves as selective filter. The philosophy behind selective attention model is to find the stopping criteria to stop training and also defines the confidence measure of the selective attention's outcome. Support vector represents the other surrounding sample vectors. The support vector closest to the initial input vector in consideration is chosen. Minimal euclidean distance between the modified input vector based on selective attention and the chosen support vector defines the stopping criteria. It is difficult to define the confidence measure of selective attention if we apply common selective attention model, A new way of doffing the confidence measure can be set under the constraint that each modified input pixel does not cross over the boundary of original input pixel, thus the range of applicable information get increased. This method uses the following information; the Euclidean distance between an input pattern and modified pattern, the output of SVM, the support vector output of hidden neuron that is the closest to the initial input pattern. For the recognition experiment, 45 different combinations of USPS digit data are used. Better recognition performance is seen when selective attention is applied along with SVM than SVM only. Also, the proposed selective attention shows better performance than common selective attention.

This study recommends the evaluation measures and indicators to evaluate the operations and performance of each Foreign Research Information Centers (FRIC) established to support the effective and efficient use of the foreign academic journals at the national level. The indicators are comprised by 3 major sections, subdivided into 35 sub-indexes. Each of indicators is scored according to the weights derived from the AHP survey to the related researchers and the practitioners. As a result, total score of 1,000 is distributed to 3 major sections of operational strategy section (190), operational systems section (440), and operational outcomes (370). Based on the evaluation indicators, measure dictionary is developed, followed by preliminary tests both by the parent organization and by each centers, in order to check the feasibility of the measurement.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of teacher-librarians' autonomy support on the school library users' satisfaction and continuance intention. Based on SDT(self-determination theory), it focuses on the mediating effect of BPN(basic psychological needs) between the autonomy supports and the satisfaction of the school library users. A survey was administered to 331 middle school students and the research model was examined by using regression analysis and Hayes' parallel multiple mediator model. The findings show that the teacher-librarians' support for autonomy directly and indirectly has a positive effect on the students' satisfaction with the school library, and perceived autonomy and competence among the sub-factors of basic psychological needs are found to have a significant mediating effect between the support of the librarian's autonomy and satisfaction with the school library. In addition, students' satisfaction with the school library shows a significant effect on the continuance intention. This study is meaningful in that it presents the role of teacher-librarians as a factor affecting students' motivation to use school libraries and provides implications for revitalizing school libraries.

As the global population becomes aging, the demand for health services for the elderly is expected to increase. In particular, The elderly visiting the emergency department sometimes have complex medical, social, and physical problems, such as having a variety of illnesses or complaints of unusual symptoms. The proposed system is designed to predict the mortality of the elderly patients who are over 65 years old and have admitted the emergency department. For mortality prediction, we compare the support vector machines and Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN) trained with medical data such as age, sex, blood pressure, body temperature, etc. The results of the FFNN with a hidden layer are best in the mortality prediction, and F1 score and the AUC is 52.0%, 88.6% respectively. If we improve the performance of the proposed system by extracting better medical features, we will be able to provide better medical services through an effective and quick allocation of medical resources for the elderly patients visiting the emergency department.

This paper introduces a relation extraction system that can be used in identifying and classifying semantic relations between biomedical entities in scientific texts using machine learning methods such as Support Vector Machines (SVM). The suggested system includes many useful functions capable of extracting various linguistic features from sentences having a pair of biomedical entities and applying them into training relation extraction models for maximizing their performance. Three globally representative collections in biomedical domains were used in the experiments which demonstrate its superiority in various biomedical domains. As a result, it is most likely that the intensive experimental study conducted in this paper will provide meaningful foundations for research on bio-text analysis based on machine learning.

As a result of the study, it was found that social support affects career maturity. It was confirmed that in order to increase the career maturity of junior college students, it is necessary to understand the interpersonal relationship including information and evaluation of the student environment, effective support, and emotional interest, and it is necessary to find a way to perceive high social support. In the effect of social support on career maturity, career decision self-efficacy was found to have a partial mediating effect. Instructors should support students who have anxiety about their uncertain future so that they can increase their self-esteem and self-efficacy so that they can enhance their career maturity.

NGOs(Non-Governmental Organizations) are organization based on the 'voluntary participation' of citizens. Citizens' participation and support are essential for the existence and sustainable growth of the organization. The records of NGOs are produced, received, collected, and left behind in the course of their activities. Systematically managed records are used as information for business performance to increase operational efficiency. In addition, it plays a role in proving the legitimacy of the group and its activities to internal and external stakeholders of the NGO, such as whether the group's activities were performed legally and whether the group is actually working to realize the goal it stands for. Therefore record management of NGOs is required to improve accountability. In other words, NGOs can be gain the trust of civil society based on accountability through records and secure internal and external resources necessary for the existence of the group. In this study, after confirming the general record management status of NGOs in Busan, improvement measures were examined in terms of record management in order to increase the accountability of NGOs.

When fabricating definitive implant-supported fixed prostheses in upper and lower completely edentulous patients, it is crucial to get information about the vertical dimension, jaw relationship, implants, abutments and gingival contour. In this case, temporary prostheses were used to take the information. The temporary prosthesis was scanned outside of the mouth so that it increased the efficiency of scanning it. During the scan of the prosthesis, a scan zig which connected both posterior parts of the prosthesis was used to minimize the scan errors. We report this case because we obtained satisfactory functional and esthetic results by using the digital technology.

현재 세계적으로 전자적 정보매체중 인터넷의 여러 기술적 방편인 Web, E-Mail, usenet 등을 통한 인터넷 무역이 보편화되어가고 있는 실정이다. 기존의 부가가치통신망(VAN)을 이용한 EDI에서 보다 보편적이며 접근이 용이하면서 개방적인 인터넷 EDI로 대체되고 있다. 인터넷을 이용한 무역계약의 체결은 기존 방식에 비해 신속성, 경제성, 편리성에 있어 뛰어난 장점을 지니고 있어 조만간 많은 이용이 뒤따를 것으로 예견되나 현재 준거법, 문서의 법적효력, 계약의 유효성, 청약의 유인, 계약성립시점 둥의 법적 문제가 해결되어야 할 것으로 여겨진다. 특히 계약성립시점에 관하여 인터넷을 통한 승낙의 의사전달이 대화자간인지, 격지자간인지의 여부가 불투명한 실정이다. 대화자간 법리와 격지자간법리의 구분기준은 발신과 도달의 시간적 동시성을 기준으로 분석하는 것이 보다 합리적일 것으로 여겨진다. 본 연구는 현재 인터넷을 이용한 의사전달 중 가장 많은 이용이 예상되는 E-Mail을 중심으로 기타 인터넷기술을 이용한 의사전달의 효력발생시점에 관한 법리를 분석하고 만일 대화자간의 법리가 적용된다면 문제시될 도달시점에 대해서 논의하는데 그 목적이 있다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해 살펴보았을 때, 인터넷을 통한 승낙의 의사전달은 대화자간의 법리가 적용되어 영 미법이나 한국, 일본법이 준거법으로 채택된다 하더라도 도달 주의가 지지되어야 하며, 이 경우 도달시점은 E-Mail의 경우 수신측 사용자 컴퓨터가 아닌 수신자가 지정한 수신서버컴퓨터에 기록되는 시점이 되어야 한다는 견해이다.
