Since management of information resources is getting more complicated in the distributed, heterogeneous computing environment, the capability of monitoring and controlling the dispersed information resources is perceived as a critical success factor for the effective enterprise-wide information resource management. Integrated Control Architecture(ICA) provides that capability. Utilizing such architecture, we can manage corporate information resources more efficiently, perform impact analysis for changes in information resources, and alleviate the human effort by automating the monitoring of critical information resources. In this paper, we propose a conceptual framework and metamodel of ICA.

The orthogonality is an important property in the experimental designs. When we use nearly orthogonal arrays(for example, supersaturated designs), we need evaluate the degree of the orthogonality of given nearly orthogonal arrays. We can use the mutual information as a new criterion for evaluating and testing the degree of the orthogonality of given nearly orthogonal arrays.

The objective of this case study is to describe ins and outs of a production and information management system developed for footwear industry (based on MRP system). First, basic structure of the total system, configuration of sub-system modules, specification and configuration of software/hardware used in this system are presented. Second, design of the total system flow, configuration of code system, file description used in this system are explained. Third, function of software modules and principal algorithms and basic data structuring technigues are discussed. Finally, inplementation plan and output reports are presented.

The writer has made efforts to solve the weaknesses of the traditional systems through reconstructing cost information systems by introducing 'logical circuit concept' instead of account. As the new designed systems also allow the basic thought of double entry, they are compatiable with the traditional ones. For this, the writer included both monetary and physical information in the systems, replaced the concept of debit & credit with the concept of inputs & outputs, and changed transfer concept between accounts based on reverse logic into flow concept between unit systems based on proceeding logic.

In Competitive environment Information Technology applications have the potential to create competitive advantage. This study is attemp to explain the impact of the TOC and Information Technology in Operations management. With the application of the TOC Pricinples to Information Technology, it is easy to exploit efficiently industrial organizations' constraints and elevate its constaints. This paper presents a model which may be used in optimal control of the Man-Machine systems in the aspect of information transmission. For this, we divided information into human parts and machine parts, and consider minimum error principle as a machine operating logic. Furthermore, we take the maximum information principle as a human information operating logic. This can be done in considering the Fisher Information and its transformed type, information inequality.

앞으로 점차 늘어날 공동연구에서는 직접 연구에 종사하는 전문가 외에, 연구개발을 운영하는 유능한 리더나 관리자의 역할이 중요하게 될 것이다. 그들이 하는 일은 연구자금의 확보, 공동연구자의 물색, 연구 정보의 수집과 정리, 연구전략의 수립, 연구성과의 공개 등이 될 것이다. 이러한 전문가를 양성하기 위한 과정은 대학의 교육과정에 어떤 방식으로든지 편성 될 수 있을 것이다. 경영학적 전문성과 과학에 기반을 둔 사회학적 전문성을 가미한 '연구개발 경영학'이 필요한 시대가 반드시 올 것이므로 이에 대한 대비가 필요하다.

본 연구는 컴퓨터 지원 제조시스템 (CIM)의 특징 및 의사결정시 고려되어야 할 사항들이 서술되었다. CIM의 복잡성을 표현하기 위해서 목적지향시스템 및 인공지능의 개념·구조가 상세히 설명되었다. CIM하에서 독립적 시스템을 통합하는데 발생되는 통신정보를 표현하기 위해서 목적지향시스템 및 인공지능 기법이 이용되었다.
