This study was conducted to analyse interprofessional education(IPE)-related research within Korean nursing literature and suggest future directions for IPE research. For this, Five articles were included for final review. As a results, IPE in nursing research has received attention since 2017. Studies have confirmed that no clear definition of IPE concepts has been established in nursing education. Key findings regarding IPE were categorized into Awareness of IPE, Effects of IPE as an intervention and Validation of Korean version tools measuring effectiveness of IPE. The collaboration of nurses and other healthcare professionals is essential to providing quality healthcare. Therefore, considerable effort should be made to define the concept of IPE and activate research to effectively apply it to nursing education and practice in Korea.

Professional ethics has received relatively little attention from scholarship in comparison with its practical needs. Professional ethics as an independent study of ethics is still underdeveloped in the sense that there is no theoretical unity. The purpose of this article is to lead to the fundamental importance of the professional ethics. More specifically, this article aims at clarifying the unified view of professional ethics through the detailed analysis of professionalism. Therefore, The main themes of this article are professionalism, conflicts between duties of professional roles and those of ordinary morality, the boundary of professional authority, the foundations of professional values and obligations, and the character of professional responsibility. The conclusion which is drawn from this study can be briefly stated as follows. Professionalism is an important social category, and professional should not isolate themselves from the public sphere. Thus, professional ethics that contains positive ethical standards should be built upon the basis of 'shared responsibility' which stimulate professional's moral commitment and institutional improvement.

This study aimed to develop a measure of professional identity for Korean dental hygienists and to analyze the factors and characteristics of professional identity of these dental hygienists. In this study, 890 dental hygienists completed a self-administered survey. The final analysis was conducted with a total of 880 responses, excluding 10 questionnaires with unreliable responses and partial responses. A systematic literature review was conducted to establish the definition of professional identity, while content validity, exploratory factor, confirmatory factor, and reliability analysis were conducted to establish the constructive factors. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA were used to identify the level of each factor. Authors conceptualized the professional identity for Korean dental hygienists and item generation, item reduction, and questionnaire formatting. The developed measure of professional identity for dental hygienists consisted of five factors, with 15 items. "Sense of calling," "need for academic capacity building," "performance of delegated authority," "compliance of code of ethics," and "usage of professional organizations" were the constituent factors. Based on these factors, the level of professional identity was the highest in the "performance of delegated authority" and lowest in the "usage of professional organizations." These finding indicated that dental hygienists with higher education levels have higher professional identity levels. The dental hygienists working at the general/university hospital had the highest level of professional identity. Thus, further research is needed to establish a model that consists of factors affecting and influencing the professional identity of dental hygienists.

The terrestrial television broadcasting has increased the number of the specialized job drama in the programming in 2000's, for overcoming the limit of the materials and reflecting the new sociocultural phenomenon valuing the specialized job. This drama benefits from good audience and huge fans, while the low average rate of audience shows the limit of competitiveness of this new genre. The text analysis clarifies three traits of the specialized job drama. At first, this genre is characterized by the variety of materials and the attempt of realistic description. Then, its narrative structure is organized so as to develop a story based rather on the success of career than on the relation of love. Finally, its last trait lives in the character of the heroes which is a creation based on the narrative structure.

This study aims to discuss policy alternatives for improving the curriculum of archival studies. As a theoretical study, it organized classical professional theories such as Greenwood and Good and confirmed that the archival professionals met all six criteria for professional occupations claimed by Perk. However, from the perspective that professionalism is not completed at any point in time, but is a constant pursuit, education and training of archival professionals, and the legal system that supports it, were analyzed. In addition, the case of the British ARA and the US ACA, which are implementing a professional certification system, was analyzed in the context that professionals should set their own standards for education and training to protect their authority and have norms for professional communities. In conclusion, policy alternatives centered on the academic training guidelines and the certification system were presented.

The aim of this descriptive correlation research was determine the factors affecting the professional self-concept of nurses working at rehabilitation hospitals. The data were collected from 192 nurses working at three rehabilitation hospitals with less than 300 beds in B City and at two in D City from May 1 to 30, 2015, and then analyzed using the SPSS Win 18.0 program. They scored 3.03 for professional autonomy, 3.43 for self-efficacy, and 3.25 for professional self-concept on average; professional autonomy was positively correlated with the professional self-concept and self-efficacy was strongly positively correlated with the professional self-concept. The professional self-concept generally accounted for 46.9% and the self-efficacy had the greatest impact on the professional self-concept, accounting for 33%. Based on these results, it is necessary to help rehabilitation hospital nurses improve their self-efficacy and develop standardized professional education programs to give them pride and dignity.

<이 글은 College & Research Libraries 지에 금년 1월호에 실린 Professionalism Reconsidered의 전역이다. 필자인 Dr. Mary Lee Bundy와 Dr. Mary Lee Bundy와 Dr. Paul Wasserman은 School of Library and Information Services, University of Maryland의 교수이다.> 본고에서는 전문직으로서의 사서직 문제를 사서가 갖게 되는 세 가지 기본적인 관계, 즉 고객과의 관계, 소속기관과의 관계 및 전문직단체와의 관계에 입각하여 검토해 보았다. 그래서 사서직이 갖는 성격 중에서 전문성을 인정할만하다고 생각되는 여러 요소를 이미 확립된 전문직들이 갖는 전ㅁ누성의 표준에다 견주어 보았다. 이 비교의 결가 사서직은 아직 전문직의 유형에 속하기에는 먼 거리를 유지하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 사서직이 전문직으로 발전하려면 사서가 현재 행하고 있는 봉사의 성격과 사서를 얽어메고 있는 여러 가지 관료적인 관계에 대한 변화가 와야 한다. 본고에서는 도한 전문직단체와 도서관학교가 사서직의 전문화과정에 끼친 공헌도를 분석해 보았다. 이 분야의 발전도는 사서직이 참다운 전문직의 칭호를 마침내 얻을 수 있을 것이냐 그렇지 못할 것이냐의 관건이 된다.

The purpose of this research is to compare the present education for information professionals in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. It is intended to find out how the differences in the professional organization's role on the education and the educational institution's status of the two countries influence on the professional education. The research was done through the reviews of literature searched and the analyses of the data on the web-based home pages of the institutions concerned. It is concluded that the differences have caused the different educational patterns of the countries. The similarities and differences are interpreted and some suggestions are provided.
