The development of a propulsion system for MAGLEV vehicle (자기부상열차용 추진시스템의 개발)

  • This paper presents a fundanental method to analyze and design a Single-sided Linear Induction Motor(SLIM) as a propulsion system for magnetic levitation vehicles of DAEJEON EXPO'93 in Korea. The performance characteristics of the designed SLIM are examinated by the thrust force, the normal force, the efficiency and the power factor according to the change of input frequency. The dimension of the SLIM is 1792mm long ${\times}$ 200mm width ${\times}$ 58mm high and the rated thrust is 1300 Newtons at the operating speed of 40 Km/h.

  • A system, featuring the electromagnetic levitation actuator for control in the vertical direction, of active microvibration control was proposed. The main components of this system are a vibration isolation table with built-in acceleration sensors for detecting microvibration, electromagnetic levitation actuators with built-in permanent magnets and electromagnets, and a digital controller with high precision signal converters.

  • Conventional magnetic levitation systems could show unsatisfactory performance under air-gap disturbance due to rail irregularities. In this paper, we propose a feedback control system with discrete Kalman filter for air-gap disturbance attenuation. It is shown that excellent system performance can be obtained with the use of discrete Kalman filter, and that results from experiments agree well with those of simulations.

  • 본 논문은 학생 캡스톤디자인 작품제작의 결과를 정리한 것으로 MCU와 적외선 거리센서를 이용하여 공의 수평위치를 측정하고 이에 따라 양단 전자석의 강도를 조절하여 공이 중앙에 위치하도록 자동으로 제어하는 볼 밸런서의 구현방법에 대해 소개한다. 탁구공의 위치를 적외선 거리센서로 측정하고 MCU에 PID 제어기 기반의 자동제어 알고리즘을 구현하여 전자석의 강도를 PWM 제어함으로써 탁구공이 중앙에 위치하도록 자동으로 제어한다.

  • This paper deals with a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach to the design of a PID controller for an attraction type magnetic levitation system. First, we convert the $H_ {\infty}$ PID controller problem into a static output feedback problem. We then solve the static output problem by using the recently developed penalty function method. Numerical experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • A nonlinear feedback linearizing control method for an EMS (Electro-Magnetic Suspension) system is proposed. After linearzing the system using the exact linearizing method, conventional linear system control theory has been applied. Robustness properties of the proposed controller with respect to the load variations is also analysed for a single magnet suspension system. Computer simulation is carried out in order to compare the performance of the proposed controller with that of the existing controller designed by using Taylor series expansion around nominal points.

  • In this paper we propose a controller which has the capability of disturbance measurement calibration for Cds array sensors in a magnetic levitation system. Steady state error due to environment light condition or external disturbance is corrected constantly. The correction is made by the sensors to measure the ball position of the system without additional deployment of sensors.

  • In this paper, a rail-vibration controller of magnetic levitation system is designed and implemented. The target plant to be controlled is electro-magnetic type which is open-loop unstable, highly non-linear and time-varying system. The designed controller is validated by some kinds of experiments.

  • In transverse flux linear induction motors(TFLIM), The loops of the working flux lie in planes transverse to the direction of motion. With a poly-phase primary winding, The TFLIMs has both electro-magnetic propulsion and levitation force. Thus, TFLIM a will be useful in high speed ground transportation systems. In this paper, The characteristics of a single aide TFLIM are analysed by using electromagnetic field theory.
