Design Review of Inter-Modal Terminal Platform for Temperature Load (온도하중을 고려한 인터모달 터미널 플랫폼의 설계 검토)

  • In this study, we examined the proper spacing between the expansion joints according to the temperature load of the inter-modal terminal platform infrastructure to implement a new inter-modal automated freight transport system, which we intend to introduce in Korea. To review the proper expansion joint spacing of the terminal platforms, we set the maximum expansion joint spacing according to the regional temperature changes using the equation proposed by the Federal Construction Council (FCC) of the United States. Then, the maximum displacement value, which was calculated through the structural analysis program, and the limit of the horizontal displacement of the building structure were compared. The proper expansion joint spacing was selected as the slab length at which the maximum displacement of the structure, due to temperature changes, was below the horizontal displacement limit. Based on the application of maximum expansion joint spacing for each region calculated through the FCC's suggestion, the maximum displacement that could occur within the limit of the lateral displacement of the structure was determined.

  • 이 글에서는 GT Membrane방식 LNG 선의 1,2차 Membrane 의 제작시의 용접기술 및 용접이음 부의 강도에 대하여 개략적으로 검토하였다. Membrane 재료인 Invar강은 그 적용두께가 매우 얇 은 박판이기 때문에 용접이음시 용락 및 용접결함등를 방지할 수 있는 용접기술 및 시공상의 고 려가 LNG선 전체의 안전성 측면에서 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 또한 근본적으로 Membrane 부재는 구조강도를 부담하는 강도 부재는 아니라 하더라도 선체로부터 전달되는 하중은 필연적으 로 받게 되므로 이 하중에 의해 피로파괴가 발생하지 않도록 용접부의 적정 강도를 유지하는 것 이 중요하다.

콘크리트 확장형 앵커의 동적검증

  • 배관 및 기기 등의 지지부 정착에 사용되는 확장형 앵커는 여러 종류의 진동하중을 받게 되므로 그러한 하중에 대한 동적저항능력이 시험에 의하여 확인되어야 한다. 확장형 앵커의 동적시험 요건이 ASTM E488에 기술되어 있으나 내진시험 입력, 피로전단시험 입력 등 일부 요건이 구체적으로 명시되어 있지 않아 시험기관에 따라 시험조건이 자의적으로 결정될 수 있다. 따라서, 본고에서는 코드 시험요건이 구체적이지 못한 사항을 조사하여 적정 요구수준을 제시하였다. 또한, 국내에서 수행된 동적시험내용 검토결과, 현행 동적설계방안의 일부보완이 필요함을 확인하였다.

Roll Force Prediction of High-Strength Steel Using Foil Rolling Theory in Cold Skin Pass Rolling (고강도강의 냉간 조질 압연 시 호일 압연이론을 이용한 압연하중의 예측)

  • Skin pass rolling is a very important process for applying a certain elongation to a strip in the cold rolling and annealing processes, which play an important role in preventing the stretching of the yield point when the material is processed. The exact prediction of the rolling force is essential for obtaining a given elongation with the steel grade and strip size. Unlike hot rolling and cold rolling, skin pass rolling is used to apply an elongation of within 2% to the strip. Under a small reduction, it is difficult to predict the rolling force because the elastic deformation behavior of the rolls is complicated and a model for predicting the rolling force has not yet been established. Nevertheless, the exact prediction of the rolling force in skin pass rolling has gained increasing importance in recent times with the rapid development of high-strength steels for use in automobiles. In this study, the possibility of predicting the rolling force in skin pass rolling for producing various steel grades was examined using foil rolling theory, which is known to have similar elastic deformation behavior of rolls in the roll bite. It was found that a noncircular arc model is more accurate than a circular model in predicting the roll force of high-strength steel below TS 980 MPa in skin pass rolling.

Probabilistic Analysis of Lifetime Extreme Live toads of Multi-Story Columns (고층기둥 축하중의 사용기간 최대값 분석)

  • The live loads acting on structures are generally computed in terms of equivalent uniformly distributed loads for the simplicity in design process. The loads, therefore, tend to decrease with increasing influence area in both load intensity and variance. Since multi-story column loads result from accumulation of loadings acting on several different floors, its influence area becomes wider and lifetime maximum decreases. In the design codes proposing the design loads for types of structural members (i.e., slabs, beams, columns), not for tile change of influence area, some proper reduction factors are given for columns which support more than one floor. Using the live load models developed for colons supporting single floor, in this study, the probabilistic characteristics of multi-story column loads are analyzed. In addition reduction factors given for multi-story columns in current practice are calibrated.

  • This study proposes the optimal ratio of vertical load-carrying capacity (${\beta}$) by investigating structural performances and economic efficiency in the extradosed bridges. Without design standards for the extradosed bridge, Japanese design standards have been used domestically. For the design live load, DL24 is found to be more adequate than DB24. Using the DL24 load, parameter studies are carried out. The parameters are 'main tower height', 'main girder stiffness', and 'cable arrangement'. As a result, it is found that one side cable-stayed extradosed bridges are more economical than double side cable-stayed extradosed bridges. This study also shows that when the ratio of vertical load-carrying capacity(${\beta}$) is 30~50% in the extradosed bridge with the ratio of tower height to main span length 1/6, the extradosed bridge is most economical because of the cable stress less than the allowable stress.

  • 터널공사에서 숏크리트는 가장 중요한 지보재 이므로 시공중 품질관리를 위한 압축강도시험은 매우 중요하다. 현장 타설 숏크리트의 압축강도는 실험실조건에 비하여 낮은 값을 갖고 있어 현장강도 시험은 필수적이나, 적절한 시험방법의 부재로 인하여 코어채취에 의한 압축강도시험이 적용되고 있다. 이 방법은 적절한 샘플채취와 초기강도 측정에 큰 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 공기압식 핀관입시험법을 고찰하였으며, 압축강도시험의 단점을 해소할 수 있는 점하중강도시험법의 적용성을 검토하였다. 또한, 향후 연구계획으로써, 현장강도시험기법으로 선정된 공기압식 핀관입시험기의 적정성 평가와 숏크리트 압축강도시험을 대체할 수 있는 점하중강도시험의 적용성 분석계획을 제시하였다.

  • PVC로 코팅된 폴리에스테르 섬유로 만들어진 지오그리드 보강재에 대해 변형률을 달리하여 단일 또는 다단 크리프 하중단계를 포함한 하중을 연속적으로 작용시킴으로써 그 인장파괴강도를 검토하였다. 연구결과, 동일한 변형률에서 지오그리드의 인장파괴강도는 극한인장파괴가 되기 전에 작용된 웅력이력에 의해서 거의 영향을 받지 않는다. 또한 지오그리드의 설계파단강도는 적정한 변형률하에서 정의되어야 하며, 변형률 속도가 빠른 인장시험을 통해 지오그리드의 설계파단강도를 얻을 경우 이에 대한 보정이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • The dynamic behaviour of the rock mass under the dynamic load is different from the static application of the maximum load of the same size. An experimental approach to investigating rock behavior under dynamic loads is more difficult than that under static conditions in control of dynamic loads, measurement and analysis of the results. Numerical methods are less constrained by performing the experiments numerically, rather than experimental ones, so they can be very powerful analytical tool at the design stage. However, even if the algorithms of the analysis method are appropriate, careful analysis is required because the calculation results may vary largely depending on input data and boundary conditions. In this paper, when investigating the behavior of rock structures under dynamic load numerically, the effects of boundary conditions, dynamic load and calculation time step, and dynamic load characteristics on the calculation results were reviewed to provide guidance on setting up boundary conditions and calculation time step related to dynamic analysis.
