Safety estimation of check dam in Muju region according to debris yield (토사유출에 따른 무주지역 사방댐의 안전성 평가)

  • In this study, the probability of exceeding capacity for 4 check dams in Muju mountain region have been estimated. From the results, optimum design of check dam and safety according to wild fire have been discussed. Reliability model has been established by using MSDPM for calculating debris yield to estimate the probability of exceeding capacity of check dam. Probability of exceeding capacity for 4 check dams has been estimated according to maximum rainfall intensity of return periods (10year, 50year, 100year, and 200year). It was found that 1 check dam of Samga-ri basin and 1 check dam of Jeungsan-ri basin were designed by overestimation and 61% and 47% of capacity should be reduced, respectively. Furthermore, probability of exceeding capacity according to burned area has been estimated and compared. It was found that check dam of Sanga-ri basin is the weakest for the wild fire effect in this study area.

  • 낙동강을 취수원으로 사용하고 있는 국민들은 과거부터 꾸준히 발생해온 수질사고로 인하여 낙동강 수질에 대한 관심이 매우 높다. 이에 낙동강 본류를 취수원으로 이용하고 있는 중·하류 지방자치단체들은 낙동강 유역 내 댐이나 상류로의 취수원 이전을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 요구들은 지역·지방간의 갈등이 유발되었으며 가장 대표적인 사례가 부산광역시의 취수원 이전 문제이다. 부산광역시는 낙동강 본류 수질 악화와 녹조발생으로 인한 원수에 대한 시민들의 불신, 수질 악화로 인한 정수비용 증가 등의 문제를 제기하였고 이를 해결하고자 남강 상류 또는 낙동강 지류로 취수원 이전하여 시민들에게 상수 공급하기를 원하고 있다. 하지만 타 지방자치단체와의 이해, 경제성 등의 문제로 마찰을 빚고 있다. 지역간의 갈등을 최소화하면서 적정 수량 확보가 가능한 대체 수자원 확보를 위해 강변여과수, 지하수저류지, 인공함양, 인공습지, 해수담수화 같은 방법들이 논의 되었지만 본 연구에서는 낙동강 중·하류에 인공습지 적용이 가능한 지점들을 선정하고 목표 유량 및 수질 확보 가능성을 평가하였다. 기 연구된 경남, 부산권 광역상수도 사업 타당성 조사(2011, 국토교통부)에 의하면 낙동강 하류지역에 안전한 상수원 확보를 위한 원수 대체 필요량은 전체 약 1,330,000 m3/day 이다. 이를 확보하기 위해 강정고령보 상류 ~ 창녕함안보 하류구간 내 21개의 인공습지 후보지를 선정하고 유량확보 가능량, 수질, 오염부하량, 조류, 공간확보 항목에 대하여 평가하였다. 그 결과 21개 후보지에 대해 유량확보, 수질, 조류 항목에 대한 평가 결과 큰 차이가 없었지만 오염부하량과 공간확보 항목에 대한 평가 결과가 인공습지 후보지 선정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석 되었다. 향후 낙동강 중·하류에 인공습지를 활용한 취수원 개발을 위해서는 낙동강 본류와 지류에 대한 정확한 수질 조사와 인공습지 후보지에 대한 면적조사, 경제성 평가가 수행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 기후변화와 도시화로 인한 집중 호우와 불투수층 증가로 도시 홍수의 발생 빈도와 규모가 증가하고 있다. 인적, 물적 자원이 집중되어 있는 도시유역의 특성상 침수가 발생하면 이로 인한 직접적 피해 뿐만 아니라 사회경제적 2차 피해를 발생한다. 도시 홍수로 인한 피해를 줄이고 도시의 재해에 대한 회복력을 키우기 위해서는 관측과 더불어 정확한 모의 기술이 중요하다. 한편, 격자 기반 도시 홍수 모의는 집중 호우에 따른 침수의 시공간적 발생 양상을 물리적으로 해석하는 방법으로, 지표수-우수관거 이중배제 통합 모의, 수치기법, 병렬컴퓨팅, 수질 연계 모의 등의 측면에서 지금까지 많은 발전이 이루어져 왔다. 최근들어 원격탐사 기술의 발달로 공간해상도 1미터 수준 혹은 그 이상의 초고해상도 지형자료가 많은 지역에서 대해 가용해지고 있으며, 도시 홍수 해석에 이와 같은 초고해상도 자료를 적용하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초고해상도 지형 및 토지 피복 자료의 공간해상도가 침수해석에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 도시침수의 두가지 주요 요인인 내수침수와 외수범람 중에서 극한 강우에 의한 내수침수해석 사례만을 주요 연구 범위로 한다. 초고해상도 입력자료의 격자기반 도수 해석 모형으로는 운동파 기반의 2차원 지표 흐름 해석 모형을 적용하고, 초고해상도 모의의 효율적 계산을 위해 하이브리드 병렬 컴퓨팅 기술을 이용한다. 초고해상도 입력자료 적용 사례 대비, 공간해상도 저하에 따라 침수 면적이나 깊이 등에서 어떤 변화가 있는지 정량적으로 검토한다. 또한, 강우의 강도 및 공간분포가 초고해상도 도시 홍수 해석에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석한다. 모의 결과로부터 도시 홍수 해석시 거리 단위(street-level) 정확도의 재현을 위해 적정한 공간해상도를 분석하고, 초고해상도 도시 홍수 모의를 이용한 기후변화에 따른 극한 홍수의 도시지역 영향 분석 및 회복력 개선 관련 연구의 가능성에 대해 논의한다.

Economic Feasibility Assessment for the Interior Materials Selective Dismantling System Promotion in Buildings (건축물 분별해체 제도 활성화를 위한 경제적 효용성 평가)

  • In this study, as a foundational research aimed at promoting the efficient recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of construction waste through the activation of a selective dismantling system, our primary objective was to analyze the economic feasibility of implementing selective dismantling. To achieve this, we conducted an assessment on a 5-story residential building with a construction area of 2,400 m2 as a case study. When considering the additional cost of dismantling construction ① the reduction in waste disposal costs due to decreased mixed waste, ② and the potential revenue from recycling through the separation and sorting of waste materials, and ③ we were able to comprehensively confirm that there is an expected cost-saving effect totaling 34,727,000 KRW when compared to conventional demolition methods.

  • 전 지구적으로 생물다양성의 지속적인 감소 추세에 따른 생물자원의 중요성이 증가하는 시점에서, 식물 유전자원의 종 다양성 보존과 지속가능한 이용을 위한 체계적이고 현실적인 방안 마련이 절실한 실정이다. 국내에서도 2017년에 유전자원 접근 및 이익 공유에 대한 나고야 의정서가 발효됨에 따라 식물유래 BT산업 소재의 국내 자급이 불가피해진 상황이며, 더불어 국토의 생태복원에 적합한 식물 소재 개발의 중요성이 대두되면서 자생식물의 종자 수급기반 대책은 국가적 차원에서 중대한 과제라 할 수 있다. 우리나라는 면적 대비 높은 식물 종 다양성을 보이며, 이는 종자의 휴면유형 또한 다양하고 복잡할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 식물유전자원으로써의 보존 및 국가 경제적 이익을 위한 종자 활용, 산업화를 위해서는 종자의 생리적 특성에 기반 한 데이터베이스의 축적과 효과적인 활용을 위한 종자 휴면유형 분류 및 적정 휴면타파 조건을 확립할 필요가 있다. 현재까지 다양한 식물종에서 종자 휴면의 하위 카테고리가 계속적으로 세부 분류되고 있으나, 아직까지 밝혀지지 않은 세부 휴면유형에 의해 많은 유용 식물자원의 활용이 제한적이다. 종자의 휴면유형은 크게 외생휴면(Exogenous dormancy)과 내생휴면(Endogenous dormancy)으로 분류되며, 국내에서는 내생휴면에 대한 연구가 주를 이루고 있다. 한편 외생휴면은 물리적 휴면(Physical dormancy), 기계적 휴면(Mechanical dormancy) 및 화학적 휴면(Chemical dormancy)으로 세부 분류되며, 기계적 휴면과 화학적 휴면은 내생휴면인 생리적 휴면(Physiological dormancy)에 포함되어야 한다는 의견도 있다. 물리적 휴면 종자에서는 water-gap 복합체의 존재 등에서 원인을 찾을 수 있으나, 발아억제 호르몬에 기인하는 화학적 휴면 및 종(과)피 또는 배유에 의한 기계적 휴면은 배의 성장잠재력과 발달에 의해 타파될 수 있다. 이와 같이 실제로 많은 식물 종에서 다양하게 존재하는 외생휴면 유형에 대해 내생휴면과는 명확히 다른 방식으로 접근되어야 하므로, 다년간의 체계적 연구를 통해 미흡한 종자생리 연구 분야를 보완하고 자생식물의 종자 활용도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Studies on Decision of Suitable Housing Density in Caged Laying Hens (케이지 산란계의 적정 사육밀도 구명에 관한 연구)

  • This experiment was conducted to determine the economic housing density levels on caged laying hens The experiment was carried out with 600 ISA Babcock strain of white coder and 450 ISA Brown strain of brown color for production period(21-72 weeks) from May 11. 1987 to June 27. 1988. The levels of housing density was employed 5 or 6 by hen's color from 272 to 920$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen. The results obtained were summarzed as follows : 1. Although there were not statistically significant among the housing density levels, The body weight gain for pullet period(14-20 weeks) were in case of white pullet the lowest at the group of high crowding density (272$\textrm{cm}^2$/per pullet) and in case of Brown pullet was the lowest at the group of high crowding density(306$\textrm{cm}^2$/per pullet). 2. Viabillity of pullet from 14 to 20 weeks were more 97% and there urere not statistically significant among the housing density. 3. Viabillity of laying hens was increased as increasing housing density through the etire product period(21-72 weeks) but 453$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen group(in case of brown hen) showed a significant difference (P<.05). 4. Rate of egg production through the etire production period(21-72 weeks) were significantly increased by increasing housing density (P<.05 or .01). 5. Average egg weight through the entire production period(21-72 weeks) was not significantly different among housing density levels at all laying kent 6. In case of white strain, egg mass per hen among treatment during the age of 63-72 weeks were decreased by increasing housing density, meanwhile, in case of brown strain were increased by decreasing housing density during the whole period and there were significant different among the all treatment 7. There were no significant different in feed intake among the all treatment through the entire production period(21-72 weeks) at the white strain laying hens but in case of brown strains, Feed intake were increased by increasing housing density and feeding spece/per hen, and there were significant different among the all treatment 8. Feed requirements per egg at white strain was the highest when the 272$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen levels and at the brown strains was the highest when the 306$\textrm{cm}^2$/per hen levels, however, among the other treatment were no significant.

The study of stock assessment and management implications of the Manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum in Taehwa river of Ulsan (울산 태화강 바지락의 자원평가 및 관리방안에 관한 연구)

  • The manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) is mainly distributed in the coastal area which consist of mud, sand and gravel, but they rarely live on the upper and down reaches of river. For a long time the manila clam has been inhabited in Taehwa river which has been exploited as a traditional earning resources and has become as a major object by neighborhood fishermen. This study was undertaken to evaluate stock assessment and to build management implications with the ecological parameters in Taehwa river from June 2009 to June 2010. The maximum age of manila clam was determined to 6 years old from observing ring radius of shell, the length and weight relationship was TW = $0.0002SL^{3.063}$ ($R^2$ = 0.925). K and $L_{\infty}$ were respectively estimated 46.64 mm and 0.341/year by von Bertalanffy growth. The instantaneous total mortality was estimated to be 1.171/year and the age at first capture was 1.37 years by the Pauly's method using shell length composition. The current total biomass of manila clam was calculated 1,483 mt over study area $1.46\;km^2$ by swept area method. ABC (Acceptable Biological Catch) estimates of manila clam showed 512 mt with using $F_{0.1}$. It's desirable to determine the optimum harvesting time as after main spawning season, as well as it's required to manage fisheries resources considering capture age and biomass through adjusting a first age at capture.

Policy Direction for The Farmland Sizing Suitable to Regional Trait (지역특성을 반영한 영농규모화사업의 발전방향-충남지역을 중심으로-)

  • This study was carried out to examine how solid the production foundation of rice in Chung-Nam Province is, and, if not, to probe alternative measures through the size of farms specializing in rice, of which direction would be a pivot of rice industry-oriented policy. The results obtained can be summarized as follows : 1. The amount of rice production in Chung-Nam Province is highest in Korea and the size of paddy field area is the second largest : This implying that the probability that rice production in Chung-Nam Province would be severely influenced by a global trend of market conditions. The number of farms specializing in rice becoming the core group of rice farming account for 7.7 percent of the total number of farm household in Korea. Average field area financial support which had been input to farm household by Government had a noticeable effect on the improvement of the policy of farm-size program. 2. Farm-size program in Chung-Nam Province established from 1980 to 2002 in creased the cultivation size of paddy field to 19,484 hectares, and this program enhanced the buying and selling of farmland and the number of farmland bargain reached 6,431 household and 16,517 hectares, respectively, in 1995-2002. Meanwhile, long-term letting and hiring of farmland appeared so active that the bargain acreage reached 6,970 hectares, and farm involved was 7,059 households, however, the farm-exchange-and-unity program did not satisfy our expectation, because the retirement farm operators reluctantly participated to sell their farms. Another reason that had delayed the bargain of farms rested on the general category of social complication attendant upon the exchange and unity operation for scattered farm. Such difficulties would work negative effects out to carry on the target of farm-size work in general. 3. The following measures were presented to propel the farm-size promotion program : a. Occupation shift project, followed by the social security program for retirement and elderly farm operators, should be promptly established and also a number of types of incentives for promoting the letting and hiring work and farm-exchange-and-unity program would also be set up. b. To establish the effective key system of rice production, all the farm operators should increase the unit area yield of rice and lower the production cost. To do so, a great deal of production teams of rice equipped with managerial techniques and capabilities need to be organized. And, also, there should be appropriate arrays of facilities including information system. This plan is desirable to be in line with a diversity of the structural implement of regional integration based on farm system building. c. To extend the size of farm and to improve farm management, we have to devise the enlargement of individual size of farm for maximized management and the utilization of farm-size grouping method. In conclusion, it can be said that the farm-size project in Chung-Nam Province which has continued since the 1980s was satisfactorily achieved. However, we still have a lot of problems to be solved to break down the barrier for attainment of the desirable farm-size operation work.. Farm-size project has fairly close relation with farm specialization in rice and, thus, the positive support for farm household including the integrated program for both retirement farmers and off-farm operators should be considered to pursue the progressive development of the farm-size program, which is key means to successful achievement of rice farming enforcement in Chung-Nam Province.

Current Regional Cultural Situation and Evaluation of Grain Characteristics of Korean Wheat. I. Survey of Production Practices in Korean Wheat Cultivar Growers by Region (지역별 국산밀 재배 현황 및 원맥 특성 평가. I. 국산밀 재배 농가의 지역별 재배 현황 조사)

  • The cultivation situation of Korean wheat of 175 farmers in nationwide for two years, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012, was analyzed to obtain basic data for extension cultivated area and enhancing the self-sufficiency ratio of Korean wheat. Compared to the mean temperature and precipitation in the normal year, the mean temperature was lower before the heading stage and higher amount of precipitation after the heading stage in 2010/2011 and higher the mean temperature and lower amount of precipitation after the heading stage in 2011/2012. Average cultivation career and area were 7.7years and 2.4~3.3ha, Keumkang cv. was mainly cultivated for two years and Jokyung and Baekjoong cvs. were increased cultivation areas in southern part of Korea, Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeolllanambuk-do and Kwangju metropolitan city, including in 2011/2012. Most farmers (144) sown wheat seeds from late October to the beginning November with broadcasting method and the other famers were sown using the drill method. Average amount for basal fertilizer was 29.7 kg/10a with complex fertilizer mixed for wheat and barley cultivation, which was higher amount compared to recommended rate of fertilizer amount by rural development administration. Top dressing using nitrogen fertilizer was applied from in the late February to the beginning March. Heading date was the beginning May in 2011 and the late April in 2012, which the mean temperature from regeneration stage to tillering stage in 2011 was higher than that of 2012. Most farmers harvested wheat in mid-June and Pre-harvest sprouting and Fusarium head blight were occurred in 2011 due to the high amount precipitation during grain filling period.

A Study on the Cutting Optimal Power Requirements of Fast Growing Trees by Circular Saw (원형톱에 의한 속성수 절단 적정 소요동력 산정에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, Italy poplar(Populus euramericana) was selected for test specimen to measure cutting power when it harvested. The experiment has been controlled as three levels of feed rate (0.41, 1.25 and 2.5 m/s), sawing speed (800, 1,000 and 1,200 rpm), and the five levels of root collar diameter (50, 70, 90 and 110, 130 mm). The harvested volume after 3 years (root collar diameter 50 mm) was 10.5 tons, which falls short of the target amount of biomass is 20~30 ton/ha. In addition, the biomass amount of diameter 90 and 110 mm which reached the target amount were estimated to be 23.5 and 32.5 ton/ha respectively. As a result of experiment, it was found out that power of 128.2 and 175.8 W are consumed in case of cutting with the feed rate of 0.41m/s and minimum sawing speed (800 rpm) respectively. With the working area of 0.3 ha/h, it is considered to present working capacities of 16.5 and 22.8 ton/h respectively. The power consumed at the feed rate of 1.25 m/s is estimated to be 113.8 and 153.7W respectively and working capacity in a working area of 1 ha/h is estimated to be 23.5 and 32.5 ton/h. The power consumed at the feed rate of 2.5 m/s is estimated to be 119.8 and 166.9 W respectively and working capacity in a working area of 2 ha/h is estimated to be 47.0 and 65.5 ton/ha respectively. Therefore, the power source of harvest machine at the feed rate of 1.25, 2.50 m/s and sawing speed of 800 rpm shall be selected as it can process the target amount of estimated biomass.
