  • This study carried out to evaluate the hydration heat analysis and fundamental characteristics such as air content, slump and compressive strength for field application of low heat concrete with premixed cement. The results of experiment show that low heat concrete with premixed cement have sufficient performances on the workability and compressive strength. In addition, hydration heat analysis shows that low heat concrete with premixed cement make sure of target thermal cracking index. Therefore, it is desirable to apply the low heat concrete with premixed cement on pier foundation-column.

  • This study examined the effect of binder-to-soil ratio(B/S) and water-to-binder ratio(W/B) on the flow and compressive strength development of soil concrete using high-volume supplementary cementitious materials. As a partial replacement of ordinary portland cement, 10% by-pass dust, 40% ground granulated blast-furnace slag, and 25% circulating fluidized bed combustion fly ash were determined in the preliminary tests. Using the low-cement binder incorporated with clay soil or sandy soil, a total of 18 soil concrete mixtures was prepared. The flow of the soil concrete tended to increase with the increase in W/B and B/S, regardless of the type of soils. The compressive strength was commonly higher in sandy soil concrete than in clay soil concrete with the same mixture condition. Considering the high-workability and compressive strength development, it could be recommended for low-cement soil concrete to be mixed under the following condition: B/S of 0.35 and W/B of 175%.

  • This study has been performed to test the flowability and filling ability of high flowing concrete as well as distribution of aggregate and pore of core specimen, heat of hydration, compressive strength and core strength of concrete. In addition, the resistance to chloride ion penetration and chemical solutionof concrete was tested in order to evaluate the resistance to sea water of concrete and its application of high flowing concrete using blended low heat cement in the field of Seohae Grand Bridge. The properties of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement were compared with ordinary 25-240-15 concrete using Type V cement. As the results of this study, the flowability and filling ability of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement is satisfied without vibration. Though the cement content of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement was 400kg/m$^2$, the rising temperature of it was relatively lower than that of the ordinary 25-240-15 concrete with Type V cement. Also, the compressive of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement is similar to that of the ordinary 25-240-15 concrete with Type V cement.

  • This study was conducted to assess the durability of Chloride-inhibiting Low-Heat Cement while being subjected to freezing-thawing during winter seasons. Although durability varies slightly depending on the conditions of the jobsite, frost damage to concrete resulting from repeated freezing and thawing over the course of seasonal changes is the leading cause behind lowered concrete durability. in addition, concrete that has been subjected to freezing and thawing during the winter season develops a significant amount of expansive force at the core and begins to exhibit signs of damage, such as cracking, peeling, and detachment from the aggregate. Therefore, this study fabricated test specimens using a Chloride-inhibiting Low-Heat Cement(CLC) and the widely used blast furnace slag cement(BFS) and Ordinary Portland Cement(OPC) with water-to-cement ratios of 35%, 40% and 45%, respectively, to assess the durability index of the CLC as per resistance to freezing-thawing. The specimens were then tested using the KS F 2456 method (Testing method for resistance of concrete to rapid freezing and thawing) to measure the dynamic modulus of elasticity. The dynamic modulus of elasticity measurements were then used to derive the durability indices. By comparing the durability indices, it was confirmed that CLC, BFS, and OPC all had superior durability.

  • Of construction materials, cement and steel are the representative material that carbon dioxide. to reduce carbon emissions in the use of these materials The purpose of this study is low heat type blended cement, which is manufactured using a amount of cement than ordinary low heat blended cement. Low heat blended cement, mixing ratio of 10%, was investigated hydration properties and adiabatic temperature of concrete. The study in order to activate the reaction mineral admixture, a separate source of CaO and $SO_3$ areneeded. gypsum and lime, it expected amount of cement, low-carbon low-heat blended cement could reduce the hydration heat concrete than currentlyused low heat blended cement.
