Groundwater Quality Analysis from Low Concentration Liquid Manure Application in Bio-Circulation Experimental Forest (바이오순환림의 저농도액비 시용에 따른 지하수 수질 분석)

  • 우리나라 가축분뇨 발생량 중 약 10%만이 정화방류 및 공공처리에 의해 처리되고 있으며 2012년 이후 해양투기가 전면 금지됨에 따라 가축분뇨의 자원화 및 육상처리에 대한 대책이 절실한 실정이다. 이에 최근 이에 대한 대안 중 하나로 산림지 및 조림지역에 축산분뇨 액비를 처리하자는 대안이 대두되고 있다. 가축분뇨로부터 생산된 액비는 화학비료를 대신하여 자연순환농업에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있으며, 가축분뇨를 비료로 재활용할 수 있는 장점이 있는 반면, 시용량이나 시용 시기, 시용대상에 따라 환경, 특히 수질 및 지하수에 미치는 영향이 있을 수 있다. 따라서, 저농도액비 시용이 지하수 수질에 미치는 영향 및 환경영향평가, 영향성분 수지의 균형여부 등에 대한 모니터링과 분석이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 백합나무 조림지인 바이오순환림에 저농도액비를 시용하였을 때 지하수에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 매주 지하수의 수질 모니터링을 실시하였으며, 이를 수질항목에 대하여 분석한 후 액비시용에 따른 수질변화를 제시하였으며, 지하수 오염여부를 결정하는 대표항목인 질산성질소의 오염원을 판별하기 위하여 질소 동위원소비를 분석하였다. 추후 지속적인 지하수 모니터링을 통하여 다양한 수질항목에 대한 분석이 이루어진다면 바이오순환림을 비롯한 산림지에서의 저농도액비 시용에 따른 수질 영향 평가 및 모형 구축의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The Growth Effects of Creeping Bentgrass by SCB(Slurry Composting and Biofilteration) Liquid Fertilizer application (SCB 저농도액비의 시용이 크리핑벤트그래스의 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of application of SCB liquid fertilizer produced after slurry composting and biofiltration (SCB) on turfgrass growth in golf course during 6 month period from May to October in 2008. The change of soil properties by applying CF and SCB was unaffected respective treatments. As compared with NF, turf color index of CF, S-1 and S-2 increased by 1.8%, 2.5%, and 3.4%, respectively and chlorophyll content by 13%, 19%, and 25%, respectively. Dry weight of S-1 and S-2 was increased by 15% and 26% than that of CF. As compared with CF, N uptake rate in S-1 and S-2 was increased by 21% and 37%, P uptake rate 57% and 28%, and K uptake rate 16% and 27%, respectively. S-2 showed the best effect for turf color index, chlorophyll content, dry weigh and nutrient uptake rate in creeping bentgrass. These results suggested that an mixed application of SCB and compound fertilizer was improved turf quality and growth of creeping bentgrass by increasing nutrient uptake rate of turfgrass.

  • 2012년 가축분뇨 해양투기가 전면 금지됨에 따라 가축분뇨의 자원화의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 하지만 현재 가축분뇨 발생량의 일부는 퇴비화로 농경지로 환원되고 있으며, 지역에 따라 일부 지역에서는 농경지면적 대비 가축분뇨 필요량을 초과하는 것으로 나타나, 산림지 및 조림지역으로의 가축분뇨 환원이 새로운 대안중 하나로 대두되고 있다. 특히, SCB (Slurry Composting and Biofiltration) 액비는 성분이 비교적 균질하고 저농도이며 냄새가 없어 산림유역에 시비가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 하지만, 액비 시비량에 따라 수분 및 영양성분 수지 불균형 등을 초래하여 토양에 축적될 우려가 있고, 지하수로 침출될 가능성이 있어 이에 대한 모니터링이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 산림유역 중 백합나무 조림지인 바이오순환림과 포플러 조림지인 유휴지에 SCB액비를 시용하였을 때 지하수에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 매주 지하수 수질 모니터링을 실시하였다. 특히, 청색증 등을 유발시켜 지하수 오염의 지표인 질산성질소를 중심으로 지하수 수질 분석을 하였으며 질산성질소의 오염원을 판단하기 위하여 질소 동위원소비를 분석하였다. 시험림의 물리적 특성이 다른 두 산림유역에서의 SCB액비 시용에 따른 지하수 모니터링 결과는 향후 지속적인 모니터링이 이루어진다면 산림지에서 SCB액비 시용에 따른 수질영향 평가 및 모델링 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study was performed to functional improvement by fermenting of SCB (Slurry Composting and Biofiltering) liquid fertilizer. After screening of cellulose decomposing test using microorganisms originated from composts produced with turf grass clipping, five kinds of Cellulose Decomposing Microorganisms (CDMs) were selected. The optimum medium for CDMs culture was Tryptic soy broth. The optimum fermenting time of CDMs in SCB liquid fertilizer was 36 hour. In addition, CDMs showed antimicrobial activity in vitro. Sclerotinia homoeocarpa, Rhizoctonia solani AG2-2(IV) and Pythium spp. were inhibited by CDMs, but Rhizoctonia solani AG2-2(IIIB) in vitro uneffected by CDMs we isolated.

The Effect of Composted Liquid Manure on the Growth of Zoysiagrass (가축분뇨 액비의 시비에 따른 한국 잔디의 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of developed composted liquid manure(DSCB), which was produced by adding N, P, and K to composted liquid manure(SCB), on the growth of zoysiagrass. Two different N sources used in DSCB were ammonium sulfate(DSCB-A) and urea(DSCB-U), respectively. Fertilizer treatments were designed as follows; non-fertilizer (NF), control (CF; chemical fertilizer), DSCB-Al($200mlm^{-2}$ DSCB-A), DSCB-A2($250mlm^{-2}$ DSCB-A), DSCB-U ($250mlm^{-2}$ DSCB-U) and CF+SCB(CF+$250mlm^{-2}$ SCB). In zoysiagrass, turf color index, chlorophyll index, dry weight and nutrient content were measured. Turf color index and chlorophyll index in DSCB and SCB treatment were increased by 1~3% and 14~28% than those of NF, respectively, and in DSCB-A1, DSCB-A2 and CF+SCB increased by 7~12% than those of CF. As applied with DSCB and SCB, the dry weight of DSCB-A1 and DSCB-A2 was increased by 25% and 19% in than CF, respectively and their nitrogen uptake by 19% and 6%. Evaluated with turf quality and growth, DSCB-A1 was the best and the most efficient in all treatments. These results indicated that application of DSCB-A1 promoted turf quality and growth of zoysiagrass by stimulating a nitrogen uptake, so that it was expected to replace to chemical fertilizers.

The Effects of Liquid Pig Manure Application on the Production of Japanese Millet (Echinochloa crusgalli) Soil Properties, and the Chemical Characteristics of Leaching Water (돈분 액비 시용이 피의 생산성, 토양 특성 및 용탈수의 화학적 조성에 미치는 영향)

  • Studies were carried out to evaluate the effect of liquid pig manure on the production of Japanese millet, the chemical characteristics of pasture soil and leaching water. The study was undertaken from June to September 2005. Randomized complete block design was used to allot four treatments: T1 (no fertilizer), T2 (N : 200 kg/ha, p : 150 kg/ha, K : 150 kg/ha), T3 (liquid pig manure containing 1.7% DM 200 kg N/ha) and T4 (liquid pig manure containing 7.0% DM 200 kg N/ha). Leaching water was sampled at 21 August (1st time), 9 September (2nd time) and 26 September (3rd time), 2005, respectively. No significant differences in the dry matter yield of Japanese millet was found among the four treatments, whereas the plant lengths of Japanese millet were higher in the T2, T3 and T4 than in T1 (p<0.05). Nitrogen, P and K uptake of J. millet tended to be influenced by application of chemical fertilizer or 7.0% DM liquid pig manure compared with T1 or 1.8% DM liquid pig manure. The organic matter (OM) content of soil was higher in T2, T3 and T4 than in T1. Na content was highest in T3 among the four treatments. $NO_{3^-}N\;or\;NH_{4^-}N$ content in leaching was not different among the four treatments. $SO_4$ content in leaching water sampled in 1st time was high in T4, but in T3 from 3rd time (p<0.05). Cl, Mg and Na contents were high in leaching water sampled in the 1st time from T4, whereas high in those from T3 in 2nd or 3rd time. Results show that the application of a high DM liquid pig manure is not better for producing Japanese millet and improving the properties of pasture soil than a low DM liquid pig manure. However, the contents of $SO_4$, Cl, Mg and Na in leaching water sampled in 1st time were high in a high DM liquid pig manure.

The Effects of Application of Liquid Swine Manure on Productivity of Rye and Subsequent Soil Quality (돈분액비 시용이 호밀의 생산성 및 토양의 이화학적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The study was conducted to investigate the effects of DM (dry matter) content and split application of liquid swine manure (LSM) on productivity of rye and subsequent soil quality on the pasture of Livestock Policy Division, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The experiment was done between November, 2005 and June 2006, using split plot design. Treatments were 2 main plots (7.0 and 1.6% DM LSM) and 2 subplots (basal fertilizer 100% and basal fertilizer 50%+top dressing 50%). Application of 7.0% DM LSM resulted in significant increase in DM yield and plant length of rye compared with 1.6% DM LSM (p<0.05). Crude protein content of rye was significantly higher in split application(basal fertilizer 50%+ top dressing 50%) than in basal fertilizer 100% (p<0.05). No significant difference in macro and micro mineral contents of rye or in subsequent soil quality was found by application of LSM. Mean P content (0.16%) of rye appeared to be lower than proper P level $(0.2{\sim}0.4%)$ of grass crop. The pH (5.5), OM (13.3%), available $P_2O_5$ (47.6 mg/kg) and Ca (2.75cmole/kg) content of the pasture soil studied were lower, compared with those of cultivated soil. Results show that the application of a 7.5% DM liquid swine manure increases the productivity of rye compared with a 1.6% DM liquid swine manure, meanwhile the property of pasture soil was not influenced by application of LSM.

Growth Effect and Nutrient Uptake by Application Interval of Developed Slurry Composting and Biofiltration (DSCB) Liquid Fertilizer on Kentucky Bluegrass (개량 가축분뇨발효액비의 시비주기에 따른 켄터키블루그래스의 생육효과 및 양분흡수)

  • A developed slurry composting and biofiltration (DSCB) liquid fertilizer could be used for eco-friendly turfgrass management in golf course. This study was conducted to evaluate the growth effect of application intervals of DSCB in Kentucky bluegrass based on turf color index, chlorophyll index, clipping yield and uptake and availability of nutrient. Treatments were designed as follows; non-fertilizer (NF), control (CF) and DSCB treatments which were applied a every 15 days (DSCB), every 30 days (2DSCB) and 60 days (4DSCB-1: April, June, August; 4DSCB-2: May, July, September). Turf color indexes of DSCB and 2DSCB were higher than CF, but these chlorophyll indexes similar to CF. The clipping yield and uptake and availability rate of nitrogen and potassium in turfgrass were increased in 2DSCB. These results suggested that application of DSCB improved turf quality and growth by prompting an uptake and availability of nutrients in Kentucky bluegrass and its application interval was 1time per month.

The Characteristics of Growth and Fruiting in Chestnut Trees by SCB (Slurry Composting and Biofiltration) Liquid Fertilizer (SCB액비처리에 따른 밤나무 생장 및 결실특성)

  • The study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of growth and fruiting in chestnut trees by SCB (Slurry Compostion and Biofilteration) liquid fertilizer instead of Chemical fertilizer. The experiment was done between April, 2008 and September, 2009, using seven years old grafting trees 'Tsukuba'. Fertilizer treatment was designed as follows; SCB liquid fertilizer, chemical fertilizer, organic fertilizers and no fertilized. Results were as follows; In the 2nd year, height and basal diameter gain of 8.04% and 25.90% over than the 1st year by SCB liquid fertilizer. The number of burrs per bearing mother branch showed no significant increment by SCB liquid fertilizer but fruiting rate was higher than other treatments. These results indicated that the SCB liquid fertilizer has a value of new eco-friendly fertilizer.

The Effect of Developed SCB Liquid Fertilizer on the Growth of Kentucky Bluegrass (성분이 추가된 SCB저농도액비가 켄터키블루그래스의 생육에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of developed SCB (DSCB) liquid fertilizer produced by adding N, P and K at SCB liquid fertilizer on the growth of kentucky bluegrass. Every treatment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications. In kentucky bluegrass, turf color index, chlorophyll index, dry weight and nutrient contents were measured. Results were as follows; It was hardly affected by DSCB and SCB application in investigation of chemical properties of soil. Turf color index and chlorophyll index in DSCB and SCB treatments were increased by 1~2% and 19~24% than NF, respectively and similar to CF. As applied with DSCB and SCB, dry weight of DSCB-U and CF+SCB was increased by 36% and 10% than CF, respectively, but similar to that of OSCB-A1 and DSCB-A2. Evaluated with turf quality and growth, DSCB-U was the best in all treatment and OSCB-A1 the most efficient. These results indicated that applications of OSCB and SCB promoted turf quality and growth of kentucky bluegrass or similar to CF, so that they were expected to replace chemical fertilizers.
