It is important that the precise decision of the region and the accurate delivery of radiation dose required for treatment in the stereotactic radiosurgery. In this research, radiosurgery was carried with Leksell streotactic frame(LSF) which is especially developed water phantom to verify in experiment. Leksell Gamma Knife and LSF are used in radiosurgery is the spherical water phantom has the thickness of 2 mm, the radius of 160mm. The film for target localization and ionchamber for dose delivery was used in measurement instruments We compare the coordinate of target which is initialized by biplannar film with simple X-ray to the coordinate of film measured directly. The calculated dose by computer simulation and the measured dose by ionization chamber are compared. In this research, the target localization has the range ${\pm}$0.3mm for the acceptable error range and the absolute dose is :${\pm}$0.3mm for the acceptable error range. This research shows that the values measured by using the especially manufactured phantom are included the acceptable error range. Thus, this water phantom will be used continuously in the periodic quality assurance of Gamma Knife Unit and Leksell Stereotactic Frame.
In this paper, we designed a LBS-based smart platform for Lifelog service that can utilize the other's lifelog information. The conventional Lifelog service means that the system records the daily activities of the smart device user so the user can retrieve the early-recorded information later. The proposed Lifelog service platform uses the GPS/UFID location information and the various information extracted from the image as the lifelog data. Further, the proposed Lifelog platform using DB can provide the user with the Lifelog data recorded by the other service user. The system usually provide the other's Lifelog data within the 500m distance from the user and the range of distance can be adjustable. The proposed smart platform based on image recognition for Lifelog can acquire the image from the smart device directly and perform the various image recognition processing to produce the useful image attributes. And it can store the location information, image data, image attributes and the relevant web informations on the database that can be retrieved by the other use's request. The attributes stored and managed in the image information database consist of the followings: Object ID, the image type, the capture time and the image GPS coordinates. The image type attribute has the following values: the mountain, the sea, the street, the front of building, the inside of building and the portrait. The captured image can be classified into the above image type by the pattern matching image processing techniques and the user's direct selection as well. In case of the portrait-attribute, we can choose the multiple sub-attribute values from the shirt, pant, dress and accessory sub-attributes. Managing the Lifelog data in the database, the system can provide the user with the useful additional services like a path finding to the location of the other service user's Lifelog data and information.
Effect of misalignment on the performance was evaluated for the development of time-of-flight(TOF)-PET detector. A pair of TOF-PET detector consists of Lutetium-yttrium oxyorthosilicate(LYSO) scintillation crystal with a volume of 3 mm × 3 mm × 20 mm and Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes(GAPD) photo-sensor with a active area of 3.07 mm × 3.07 mm. Analog output signals from TOF-PET detector were sent to the pre-amplifier and then fed into the gain adjust circuit for achievement of gain homogeneity for each detector. The amplified signals were recorded and digitized by data acquisition system based on oscilloscope. The effect of the detector misalignment between LYSO and GAPD was examined for four different alignment offsets of 0.0 mm, 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm for a pair of TOF-PET detector. The photopeak position decreased from ~400 mV to ~250 mV with increasing detector misalignment. the energy resolution and time resolution were degraded from 11.6% to 16.2%, and from 477 ps to 632 ps, respectively. This study demonstrated that PET detector performance was degraded considerably depending on the detector misalignment, which would be a critical issue for the development of TOF-PET detector.
Recently, there has been an increase in the use of Automatic Identification Systems. Class A AIS is used for ships engaged in international voyages, while Class B AIS is utilized for smaller vessels navigating domestic coastlines. AtoN AIS is used for aids to navigation, AIS is employed for search and rescue aircraft, and AIS-SART is widely used worldwide. Accordingly, in 2022, the Maritime Safety Committee(MSC) of the International Maritime Organization(IMO) revised the performance standards for the satellite emergency positioning radio beacon(EP IRB) to include AIS signals along with 121.5 MHz for aircraft, which has been used as a homing signal. It was recommended to use together as a homing signal, and from July 1, 2022, it was decided that AIS-EP IRB that satisfies the revised performance standards will replace the existing EP IRB. Consequently, starting from July 1, 2022, it was decided that AIS-EPIRB, which meets the revised performance standards, will replace the existing EP IRB. This paper aims to verify the feasibility of implementing AIS-EPIRB, which has not yet been developed domestically. To achieve this, a dedicated chipset for AIS was used to additionally implement frequency generation of 161.975 MHz and 162.025 MHz and GMSK modulation to satisfy the requirements.

In digital imaging system, Bayer pattern is widely used and the observed image is degraded by optical blur during image acquisition process. Generally, demosaicing and deblurring process are separately performed in order to convert a blurred Bayer image to a high resolution color image. However, the demosaicing process often generates visible artifacts such as zipper effect and Moire artifacts when performing interpolation across edge direction in Bayer pattern image. These artifacts are emphasized by the deblurring process. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a deblurring algorithm combined with edge directional color demosaicing method. The proposed method is consisted of interpolation step and region classification step. Interpolation and deblurring are simultaneously performed according to horizontal and vertical directions, respectively during the interpolation step. In the region classification step, characteristics of local regions are determined at each pixel position and the directionally obtained values are region adaptively fused. Also, the proposed method uses blur model based on wave optics and deblurring filter is calculated by using estimated characteristics of local regions. The simulation results show that the proposed deblurring algorithm prevents the boosting of artifacts and outperforms conventional approaches in both objective and subjective terms.
This paper is designed to look for a specialized strategies by drawing the special features of Busan New Port from both a comparative analysis of major factors of harbor competitiveness and a SWOT analysis of Busan New Port and Yangshan Port, one of the biggest competitive ports in Northeast Asia, so that Busan New Port may preoccupy a status as the hub port of the area. The researcher would like to suggest the following measures to make Busan New Port serve as the central port of Northeast Asia on the basis of the findings; Korea should push ahead with creating a railroad transportation linking with Eurasia Contient, secure the amount of goods and resources with the help of the early development of the surrounding complex of the port, make a considerable progress in the level of port service, come up with a differentiation strategies for harbor marketing activities and improve its productivity.

An hydraulic experiment was carried out in an open channel flume in order to improve the technique of designing shape of the sluice used for tidal power generation, which greatly affects the economical efficiency of the construction of a tidal power plant. To predict the influence of change in the major design parameters relating to the sluice shape on the water discharge capability of the sluice, it was necessary to perform a precise experiment that is discriminated to previous feasibility studies or design projects. For this purpose, by installing various flow straighteners and rectifying structures inside the water supply system and the rectifying tank, the flow in the flume was stabilized as tranquil as possible. In addition, the measuring instruments and the location of installing them were carefully determined so as to minimize the errors intervened during the measurement of water discharge and water level. The method of estimating head difference between upstream and downstream of the sluice was also developed by taking account of the head loss due to the friction at the bottom and side walls in the flume.

Purpose : A PC based brachytherapy planning system was developed to display dose distributions on simulation images by 2D isodose curve including the dose profiles, dose-volume histogram and 30 dose distributions. Materials and Methods : Brachytherapy dose planning software was developed especially for the Ir-192 source, which had been developed by KAERI as a substitute for the Co-60 source. The dose computation was achieved by searching for a pre-computed dose matrix which was tabulated as a function of radial and axial distance from a source. In the computation process, the effects of the tissue scattering correction factor and anisotropic dose distributions were included. The computed dose distributions were displayed in 2D film image including the profile dose, 3D isodose curves with wire frame forms and dosevolume histogram. Results : The brachytherapy dose plan was initiated by obtaining source positions on the principal plane of the source axis. The dose distributions in tissue were computed on a $200\times200\;(mm^2)$ plane on which the source axis was located at the center of the plane. The point doses along the longitudinal axis of the source were $4.5\~9.0\%$ smaller than those on the radial axis of the plane, due to the anisotropy created by the cylindrical shape of the source. When compared to manual calculation, the point doses showed $1\~5\%$ discrepancies from the benchmarking plan. The 2D dose distributions of different planes were matched to the same administered isodose level in order to analyze the shape of the optimized dose level. The accumulated dose-volume histogram, displayed as a function of the percentage volume of administered minimum dose level, was used to guide the volume analysis. Conclusion : This study evaluated the developed computerized dose planning system of brachytherapy. The dose distribution was displayed on the coronal, sagittal and axial planes with the dose histogram. The accumulated DVH and 3D dose distributions provided by the developed system may be useful tools for dose analysis in comparison with orthogonal dose planning.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of applying density current generator (hereafter referred to as DCG to large lakes on the operating conditions of DCG, de-stratification, water quality improvement and inhibition of algae occurrence. As a result of a survey conducted to derive the optimum operating parameters of DCG in a condition to minimize eco-toxicity, the following conclusions were obtained. During the survey period, a marked stratification appeared in September to October 2011 and May 2012. At this time, the average depth of water to form thermocline was found to be $5{\pm}2$ m, so the location of discharge port for the operation of DCG was determined to be about 5 m below from the surface. To minimize the adverse effects of benthos and obtain the effect of water mixture at the time of water circulation, the mixing ratio of surface water and deep water was designed to be 3:1 by means of ecotoxicological assessment on the DCG operating characteristics. To select the appropriate operating hours for DCG, DCG was operated by 12 hr, 24 hr, 36 hr and 48 hr. As its result, the formation of thermocline did not occur during the operation of 36 hr. Also, It was effected that start reoperating from 3rd day after stop 2days under the condition of operated during 36 hr with calculated power consumption. Under the above conditions, the results of DO and water temperature analysis during the operation of DCG showed that the stratification, which was distinct previously, appeared to be weak, and relatively lower levels than those before operation were found as a result of water quality analysis on COD and chlorophyll-a, which leads to the conclusion that the water body is maintained at a stable condition due to the circulation of water by the occurrence of density current resulting from the operation of DCG.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the set up accuracy using stereotactic body frame and frameless immobilizer for lung stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). For total 40 lung cancer patients treated by SBRT, 20 patients using stereotactic body frame and other 20 patients using frameless immobilizer were separately enrolled in each group. The setup errors of each group depending on the immobilization methods were compared and analyzed. All patients received the dose of 48~60 Gy for 4 or 5 fractions. Before each treatment, a patient was first localized to the treatment isocenter using room lasers, and further aligned with a series of image guidance procedures; orthogonal kV radiographs, cone-beam CT, orthogonal fluoroscopy. The couch shifts during these procedures were recorded and analyzed for systematic and random errors of each group. Student t-test was performed to evaluate significant difference depending on the immobilization methods. The setup reproducibility was further analyzed using F-test with the random errors excluding the systematic setup errors. In addition, the ITV-PTV margin for each group was calculated. The setup errors for SBF were $0.05{\pm}0.25cm$ in vertical direction, $0.20{\pm}0.38cm$ in longitudinal direction, and $0.02{\pm}0.30cm$ in lateral direction, respectively. However the setup errors for frameless immobilizer showed a significant increase of $-0.24{\pm}0.25cm$ in vertical direction while similar results of $0.06{\pm}0.34cm$, $-0.02{\pm}0.25cm$ in longitudinal and lateral directions. ITV-PTV margins for SBF were 0.67 cm (vertical), 0.99 cm (longitudinal), and 0.83 cm (lateral), respectively. On the other hand, ITV-PTV margins for Frameless immobilizer were 0.75 cm (vertical), 0.96 cm (longitudinal), and 0.72 cm (lateral), indicating less than 1 mm difference for all directions. In conclusion, stereotactic body frame improves reproducibility of patient setup, resulted in 0.1~0.2 cm in both vertical and longitudinal directions. However the improvements are not substantial in clinic considering the effort and time consumption required for SBF setup.
