Study for Valuing of Residential Water when Drought Conditions (가뭄상황시 생활용수 가치 추정)

  • 최근 잦은 기상이변으로 인한 자연재해는 그 빈도와 강도가 점차 증가하고 있다. 이러한 기상이변은 결국, 극단적인 가뭄이 닥칠 가능성이 농후할 것이고, 만일 극단적인 가뭄상황이 도래할 경우 제한급수 또는 절수로 인한 일반인이 느끼는 피해정도는 매우 늘어날 것이다. 본 연구는 가뭄상황시 제한급수를 고려한 소비자의 지불의사를 알아보고자, 7대 특 광역시와 32개 가뭄상습지역에 거주하는 일반인을 대상으로 생활용수 수요패턴과 가뭄상황을 고려한 생활용수의 가치를 추정하였다. 조사결과, 수돗물 수질 관련에 대해서는 가뭄상습지역보다 7대광역시가 더 민감하였고, 수돗물 수량에 대해서는 가뭄상습지역이 더 민감한 것으로 나타났다, 지불의사 추정은 양분선택형과 개방형을 혼합하여 지불의사액을 설문하였고, Tobit모형을 이용하여 지불의사액을 추정하였다. 추정결과, 교육수준이 높을 수록, 가구수가 많을수록, 소득이 높을수록 지불의사가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 가뭄으로 인해 생활용수의 25% 제한시에는 약 2010원, 50% 제한시에는 2,395원의 추가적인 지불의사가 있는 것으로 추정되었다. 결국, 조사가구의 평균 수돗물 사용량과 절감량등을 추정하여 계산한 결과, 생활용수 25% 제한시 $1m^3$당 추가적인 지불의사 금액은 약 534원으로 추정된다. 지불의사가 기대했던 것보다 낮은 이유는 소비자가 그 정도의 가뭄을 경험하지 못한데서 오는 조세저항으로 여겨진다. 그러나 이 같은 결과는 가뭄을 회피하기 위해 소비자가 기꺼이 지불할 수 있는 비용은 현재의 물 값보다 훨씬 높다는 것을 의미한다. 알 수 있었다.수 없는 실제 방사선작업 환경에서의 선량평가 수행시, 본 논문에서 제시한 선량평가방법을 적용할 경우 계획된 피폭과 예상하지 못한 방사선장에 대한 피폭을 구분할 수 있어 보다 심도 있는 피폭선량평가 및 방사선관리가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.황산기(黃酸基)의 함량은 가장 적었다내고 있었고, in vivo에서는 복강(復腔)(i. p.) 투여(投與)에서는 $12.9{\sim}22.2%$. 경구(經口)(p.o.) 투여(投與)에서는 $11.2{\sim}21.6%$의 높은 활성(活性)을 나타내고 있었다. 단 peroxidase 활성(活性)은 복강(復腔)(i. p.) 투여(投與)에서는 $129.0{\sim}188.6%$, 경구(經口)(p. o.) 투여(投與)에서는 $111.4{\sim}139.6%$의 활성(活性)을 나타내고 있었다.rucic acid를 다량함유(多量含有)하고 있는 목포단교 12는 다른 두 품종(品種)에 비(比)하여 장쇄지방산에 속하는 eicoseuoic acid가 11.7%로 많이 함유(含有)되어 있었다. 그리고 3품종(品種) 모두 중성지질(中性脂質) 획분(劃分)의 지질(脂質)은 전체지방산(全體脂肪酸) 조성(組成)의 비(比)와 별다른 차이(差異)를 나타내지 않았다.수 있으나 본원에서 사용 중인 장비에서 극히 적은 MU의 사용이 현저한 선량적 오차를 유발하진 않는 것으로 사료되어진다. 그러나 정도 관리 시 그 오차를 확인하는 과정은 장비의 사용과 수명에 따라 지속적으로 관리되어져야 할 것이다.>로 평균

Injuries Associated with Inline Skating (인라인스케이트와 관련된 손상)

  • Objective: Recently, inline skates are populary increasing and have become major recreational activities. This study was performed to determine the effective prevention means on various extremity injury by investigating injury severity occording to acute injury and overuse injury. Results: Acute inline skating injury was experienced mostly among the age between 6$\~$14 years old children after school around nearby their home without using no appropriate safety device gear. The wrist injury was mostly happened. We think that overuse injury is related to boot itself, boot fitting and improper skating techniques. Conclusion: So afterall, appropriate safety equipment wearing in inline skating at the safe place after learning about the skating skills can reduce the acute inline skating extremity injuries. Choosing a pair of good fitting boots, performing the exact pushing techniques and take good rests in the middle of skating frequently can reduce the overuse injury.

A Study on the Users Perception about the Future of Libraries in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution: Comparing with Librarians (4차 산업혁명 시대 도서관의 미래상에 대한 이용자 인식조사 - 사서와의 비교를 통해 -)

  • This study examined users' awareness to establish futurity of libraries and to propose strategies in the era of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. For this purpose, the awareness survey was conducted of users, and the survey consisted of questions about the awareness of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, the current state of using technologies and devices of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, and the futurity of libraries of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. The results are as follows: First, users were interested in the $4^{th}$ industrial Revolution, but they thought that new technologies are poorly adopted in the libraries. Second, users were most frequently using mobile phone, QR code, and Beacon. Especially, mobile phone was a most frequently used device in the libraries. However, users were not satisfied with technologies and devices provided by the libraries. Third, users expected the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution have a positive influence on future of libraries, but they were worried about losses of opportunities and jobs. Forth, users agreed with necessity of new technologies of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution for libraries services. They wanted application of the technologies, expecially, in online services. Ultimately, this study suggested some meaningful insights and strategies through comparative analysis of the above findings and librarians' awareness survey results.

Development of New Prototype of Mechanical Quality Assurance for Clinical Linear Accelerator (의료용 선형가속기의 기계적 점검을 위한 새로운 정도관리 프로토콜의 개발)

  • In recent years, the radiotherapy equipment has become much more sophisticated, and with the complication comes an increased set of quality assurance (QA) responsibilities. Today's computer controlled linear accelerator requiring QA of not only the radiation integrity, but also the mechanical accuracy of the linear accelerator. The existing QA sheets are adequate for acceptance testing and commissioning but those sheets are somewhat descriptive form for routine QA. establishing the QA sheets for a facility are more efficient if the sheets could estimate the long-term stability for the result of QA. We are going to develope new prototype of mechanical QA sheet to visualize and to verify long-term stability of mechanical QA for clinical linear accelerator. The items included in mechanical QA sheet were 1) gantry rotation, 2) collimator rotation, 3) couch rotation, 4) optical distance indicator (ODI), and 5) laser alignment. We compared new prototype sheet with conventional sheet for several hospitals in Korea for those items. The QA acceptance criteria in this study mainly followed published recommendations. The contents of test for mechanical QA are the following. Confirm that the digital and/or mechanical gantry angle readouts are correct. Verify that digital and/or mechanical readouts of collimator angle agree with the true angle, as determined with the protractor. Measure the light field using a graph paper and compare with the digital readouts. Confirm digital readout accuracy. Verify that the sagittal laser, the left and right lasers, and the ceiling laser intersect at the isocenter. In the design of new QA sheet, we emphasized the representation of the long-term stability of mechanical QA by using Excel program. By using the new prototype QA sheet, we simplified and visualized the mechanical QA process, and could estimate the long-term stability of mechanical error of linear accelerator.

  • The mapping of the spin-spin relaxation time T2 in pixel-by-pixel was suggested as a quantitative diagnostic tool in medicine. although the CPMG pulse sequence has been known to be the best pulse sequence for T2 measurement in physics NMR, the supplied pulse sequence by the manufacture of MRI system was able to obtain the maximum of 4 CPMG images. Eight or more images with different echo time TEs are required to construct a reliable T2 map, so that two or more acquisitions were required, which easily took more than 10 minutes. 4-echo CPMG imaging pulse sequence was modified to generate the maximum of 8 MR images with evenly spaced echo time TEs. In human MR imaging, since patients tend to move at least several pixels between the different acquisitions, 8-echo CPMG imaging sequence reduces the acquisition time and may remove any mis-regitration of each pixels signal for the fitting of T2. The resultant T2 maps using the theoretically simulated images and using the MR images of the human brain suggested that 8 echo CPMG sequence with short echo spacing such as 17-20 msec can give the reliable T2 map.

  • Computed tomography (CT) has been established as an important diagnostic tool in clinical medicine and has become a major source of medical exposure. A nationwide survey regarding CT examinations was carried out in 2007. Thanks to the appeasement policy regulating the import of CT scanners, there are 1,825 CT scanners across the country as of the end of March 2010, which means that we have 36.8 CT scanners per one million people. The annual number of examinations was 3.29 million, the number of examinations per 1000 population was 68. The most part of examinations was abdomen and pelvis. and the collective effective dose was in these parts. The effective dose per one population was evaluated as 0.952 mSv.

Assessment of the possibility as Cosmetics Materials by Brown algae from Jeju Island Using Supercritical Fluid System (초임계 유체 기술을 이용한 제주산 갈조류의 화장품 소재로서의 가능성 평가)

  • Although various biological extracts derived from the resources from Jeju are currently being developed for cosmetic materials, few studies using Brown algae from Jeju have been conducted. This study identified materials with high antioxidant levels and examined their whitening effects to assess their feasibility as potential cosmetic resources. Brown algae from Jeju (Undaria pinnatifida (Harvey) Suringar, Laminaria japonica, Ecklonia cava, Hizikia fusiforme (Harvey) Okamura (HF), and Sargassum fulvellum (Turner) C. Agardh (SF) were processed using a supercritical fluid system at 50℃ and 400 bar, and their total phenol content, antioxidant activity, tyrosinase inhibition, and primary skin irritation were measured. Of all the samples, only SF using the supercritical fluid system (SFS) displayed concentration-dependent behavior for the total phenol content (p<0.05). Among the samples, the antioxidant activity of SFS was significantly higher (p<0.05) and the one increased at higher concentrations (p<0.05). On the other hand, tyrosinase was inhibited to a greater extent with HF than the others. The primary skin irritation tests showed that none of the samples were skin irritants. This study confirmed the feasibility of using Phaeophyceae from Jeju as potential cosmetic materials, where the samples can be selected and utilized based on the required physicochemical properties.

Study on the Scan Field of Modified Octupole and Quadrupole Deflector in a Microcolumn (마이크로칼럼에서 변형된 4중극 디플렉터와 8중극 디플렉터의 스캔 영역 비교)

  • In a microcolumn, a miniaturized electrostatic deflector is often adopted to scan an electron beam. Usually, a double octupole deflector is used because it can avoid excessive spherical aberrations by controlling the electron beam path close to the optical axis of the objective lens and has a wide scan field. Studies on microcolumns have been performed to improve the low throughput of an electron column through multiple column applications. On the other hand, as the number of microcolumns increases, the number of wires connected to the components of the microcolumn increases. This will result in practical problems during the process of connecting the wires to electronic controllers outside of the vacuum chamber. To reduce this problem, modified quadrupole and octupole deflectors were examined through simulation analysis by selecting an ultraminiaturized microcolumn with the Einzel lens eliminated. The modified deflectors were designed changing the size of each electrode of the conventional Si octupole deflector. The variations of the scan field and electric field strength were studied by changing the size of active electrodes to which the deflection voltage was to be applied. The scan field increased linearly with increasing deflection voltage. The scan field of the quadrupole deflector and the electric field strength at the center were calculated to be approximately 1.3 ~ 2.0 times larger than those of the octupole deflector depending on the electrode size.

Dose Reduction Method for Chest CT using a Combination of Examination Condition Control and Iterative Reconstruction (검사 조건 제어와 반복 재구성의 조합을 이용한 흉부 CT의 선량 저감화 방안)

  • We aimed to evaluate the radiation dose and image quality by changing the Scout view voltage in low-dose chest CT (LDCT) and applying scan parameters such as AEC (auto exposure control) and ASIR (adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction) to find the optimal protocol. Scout view voltage was varied at 80, 100, 120, 140 kV and after measuring the dose 5 times using the existing low-dose chest CT protocol, the appropriate kV was selected for the study using the Dose report provided by the equipment. After taking a basic LDCT shot at 120 kV, 30 mAs, ASIR 50% was applied to this condition. Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) were assessed by measuring Background noise (B/N). For dose comparison, CTDIvol and DLP provided by the equipment were compared and analyzed using the formulas. The results indicated that the protocol of scout 140 + LDCT + ASIR 50 + AEC reduced radiation exposure and improved image quality compared to traditional LDCT, providing an optimal protocol. As demonstrated in the experiment, LDCT screenings for asymptomatic normal individuals are crucial, as they involve concerns over excessive radiation exposure per examination. Therefore, applying appropriate parameters is important, and it is expected to contribute positively to the public health in future LDCT based health screenings.

Results of round robin test for specific surface area (비표면적 순회평가 결과)

  • Specific surface area is becoming a very important factor when newly developed advanced nano-materials are evaluated. But there have been many differences in results when measuring specific surface areas, depending on the measuring equipments and analysis method. To verify the reliability of the specific surface area measurement device supplied within the country, Round Robin Test (RRT) has been done at 21 affiliated research institutes. As a result, it was found that several institute had problems in measuring of gas adsorption amount in measuring equipment, and this proved the need for certified reference material (CRM). Furthermore, it was also found that the results from BET analysis is easily swayed by the analyst's subjectivism, and the calculated results may differ up to 16% in case of CRM I depending on the selection range of BET analysis. So this showed that a standard guideline for BET constant C value and fitting correlation coefficient R is needed, to properly select range in BET analysis. The experience in RRT, distribution of CRM, and standardized procedure would result in improved reliability in industrial processes, and thus, would contribute to the quality management, the productivity improvement, the safety evaluation, and the new material development.
