Evaluation of the Long-Term Stability for the Cylindrical Ionization Chambers (교정정수 변화에 의한 원통형이온함의 안정성 평가)

  • Purpose: To analyze the long-term stability of Farmer-type cylindrical ionization chambers by calibration factor provided from the KFDA (Korea Food Drug Administration) Materials and Methods: The cylindrical ionization chambers used in this study were the PTW 30001 (30006), 30013, 30002, 30004, 23333, the Capintec PR06C, the WE 2571, the Exradin A12 and the Wellhofer FC65G (IC70). We were analyzed that the $N_k$ and $N_{D.W}$ calibration factor for the cylindrical chambers and compared between the measured $N_{D.W}$ and calculated $N_{D.W}$ calibration factor. Results: We have observed that the long-term stability of the PTW 30013 (30006), the Wellhofer FC65G (IC70) and the NE 2571 has varied within 0.2%. The measured $N_{D,W}$ calibration factor was about 1.0% higher than the calculated $N_{D,W}$ that determined by the $N_k$ calibration factor. Conclusion: The study has evaluated that the long-term stability of the cylindrical chambers through analysis for the $N_k\;and\;N_{D,W}$ calibration factor. It has contributed to the improvement of clinical electron dosimetry in radiotherapy centers.

Preparation of Water-Resistant Humidity Sensor Using Photocurable Reactive Oligomers Containing Ionene Unit and Their Properties (이온넨 단위를 가지는 광경화성 반응성 올리고머를 이용한 내수성 습도센서의 제조 및 감습 특성)

  • New polyelectrolytes derived from ionene-containing photocurable reactive oligomer (PIDM) were prepared for water-resistant humidity-sensitive membranes. The mixture of PIDM, hexamethylene dimethacrylate (HDM), pentaerythritol triacrylate dimer (SP1013), and photoinitiator was simultaneously coated on the sensor electrode with photoinitiated radical polymerization. The pretreatment of the substrates with vinyl-type silane-coupling reagent was performed for improving the water durability and stability of the sensors at high temperature and humidity. When the resistance dependences on the relative humidity of the crosslinked PIDMs were measured, it was found that the resistance varied three orders of magnitude between 20 and 90%RH, which was required for the humidity sensor operating at ambient humidity. Their hysteresis, temperature dependence, response time, water durability, and high temperature/humidity stabilities were measured and evaluated as a humidity-sensing membrane.

Causes of failures of long-term used double crown denture and new rehabilitation with dental implant and tooth combined denture using remaining teeth and implants (장기간 사용한 이중관 의치의 실패원인 및 자연치와 임플란트를 이용한 이중관 의치 수복증례)

  • Hybrid telescopic double crown have ever been good treatment option for patient with periodontally unfavorable few remaining teeth for successful prognosis. Tooth and implant combined telescopic double crown can be used for improving retention and support for denture with strategically placed implants on edentulous ridge. In this case, an 55-year-old female patient had chronic periodontitis with few remaining teeth on maxilla and fixed partial prosthodontics on mandible. Treatment of hybrid telescopic double crown with friction pin lasted 9.5 years only with natural teeth. After 9.5 years, additional implants was installed due to fracture of cast-posted abutment teeth. After implantation, tooth and implant combined double crown had fabricated. Through re-treatment, no complications of new denture has been found during 2 years follow up. This case presents fair prognosis of tooth and implant combined double crown denture in periodontally unfavorable condition.

  • The underpotential deposited Bi on Pt($Bi_{upd}/Pt$) anode for formic acid fuel cells (FAFCs) was developed using multi-layered preparation method for better electrocatalytic utilization of Pt. The electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) result indicated that $Bi_{upd}$ remains through the catalyst layer during stability test. In performance test, the multilayered $Bi_{upd}$ on Pt black showed superior performance by approximately 200 mV at current density of $150mA/cm^2$ compared with PtRu black anode catalyst. Based on preparation condition of $Bi_{upd}/Pt$ black, carbon supported $Bi_{upd}/Pt/C$ electrode was prepared and it showed enhanced performance and stability.

  • 최근 우리나라에서 발생한 홍수 중 많은 관심을 불러일으킨 2010년 광화문 일대와 2011년 강남역 일대 홍수의 주요 원인은 하천관리를 통하여 대응해온 지금까지의 홍수와는 달리 도시의 우수배제 기능이 높은 강도의 강우에 대응하지 못한 것으로 분석되고 있다. 도시내부에서 발생한 이 같은 홍수는 도시의 기능에 심각한 영향을 줄 수 있으며, 거주민의 안전과도 밀접하게 연관된다. 본 연구에서는 도시의 기능과 거주민의 안전을 우선적으로 고려한 홍수 취약성평가 인자를 선정하고자 한다. 기존의 여러 홍수취약성 연구들에서는 취약성을 평가함에 있어 피해금액을 기준으로 적용하는 경우가 많이 있다. 장기적인 홍수대응, 완화 정책의 구상에 있어 예상되는 피해금액은 중요한 지표라고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 이 방법으로는 도시에서 발생 가능한 피해를 모두 반영하는데 한계가 있다. 도로, 지하철, 철도 등의 교통수단이 침수되는 경우, 피해회복을 위한 비용뿐만 아니라, 도시기능에 심각한 영향을 주어 도시의 생산성, 안정성에 막대한 피해를 남길 수 있다. 따라서 피해금액의 규모에 대한 접근만으로는 도시에서 발생한 홍수에 의해 피해를 받는 취약요인을 적극적으로 반영할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 도시홍수 피해양상과 이에 대한 대응 방법 등 홍수의 물리적 위험성 뿐 아니라 홍수와 연관된 사회적인 요인들을 반영한 취약성 평가인자를 구성하기위하여 인자간의 인과관계 등을 고려하여 인자의 범위를 규정하고 델파이 설문조사와 문헌 연구를 통하여 전문가 의견을 수집, 분석하였다. 홍수취약성에 영향을 주는 요인들을 크게 3가지 그룹으로 정리하여 도시구조물, 거주민, 위험요인으로 구분하고 각 항목별로 영향인자을 선정하였다. 결정된 인자는 2011년 홍수피해가 발생한 도림천 유역에 적용하여 홍수취약성 평가를 수행하고자 한다.

  • This study was to develop of efficient microbial agent for malodor removal. Total ten strains of beneficial bacteria Bacillus sp., Pseudomonas sp., and photosynthetic bacteria were isolated and identified on the basis of their morphological and biochemical characteristics. The enzyme activities such as amylase, protease, lipase and cellulase of bacteria cells were measured. Furthennore, effective formulation procedure 、 ,vas developed with nutrient additive, stabilizing agent and mineral materix. For preparation of microbial agent, developing of formulation technique was very helpful for incresing the cell survival rate.

A Prediction of the Mobilized Tensile Forces of Nailed -Soil Excavated Walls (Nailed -Soil 굴착벽체의 발휘인장력 예측)

  • In the present study an analytical modeling was carried out to predict mobilized shear strength at the interface between the nail and surrounding soils by carefully examining the behavior characteristics of nailed boil excavated walls. Based on the developed model of mobilized shear strength, the method of overall stability analysis of nailed -soil walls was also developed using the Morgentern -Price limit -equilibrium slice method. The developed analytical procedure could predict the behaviors of nailed -soil excavated walls during the successive excavation stages, at the final stage of construction and post -construction stages. To verify the validity of the developed model and method of stability analysis, mobilized tensile forces of nails and overal stability estimated by the developed procedure were compared with test measurements from three nailed -soil experimental walls having different soil conditions. The effect of seepage pressures inside the soil mass was considered in the developed procedure.

  • 기후변화로 인하여 강우의 불확실성이 가중되고 홍수, 가뭄 등 물 관련 재해의 발생빈도 및 강도가 증가함에 따라 안정적인 용수공급 등 수자원 관리 및 운영에 어려움을 겪고 있어 예측기반의 수자원 계획 및 운영이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 우리나라 기상청에서는 2010년 6월 영국기상청과 장기 계절예측시스템의 구축 및 운영에 관한 협정을 체결하였으며 2014년부터 전지구 계절예측시스템 GloSea5(Global seasonal forecasting system version 5)을 현업에 활용하고 있다. GloSea5 모델은 대기(UM), 지면(JULES), 해양(NEMO), 해빙(CICE) 모델이 커플러(OASIS)에 의해 결합된 통합 시스템으로 일단위 자료로 제공된다. 현재 수자원 분야에서는 장기예보자료가 제공되고 있음에도 불구하고 장기예보자료의 불확실성 및 수문 모형 입력자료로의 활용 어려움, 예측자료의 검증 미흡 등으로 기상청에서 제공하는 장기예보를 참고할 뿐 실제로는 과거 관측자료를 기반한 빈도해석 결과를 활용하여 댐 운영 계획을 수립하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 GloSea5모델에서 제공되는 일 단위 예측 강수량을 수자원 장기이수계획 및 관리에 활용하고자 GloSea5모델의 예측력을 평가하고 수치모델이 가지는 시스템 에러에 대하여 편의보정 및 지점 상세화를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 향후, 저수지 운영계획 및 증가하는 물수요와 불확실한 공급에 대한 의사결정 지원, 가뭄 대비를 위한 물 공급 제한 등에 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

A study on the postoperative stability of occlusal plane in Class III orthognathic surgery patients (제 III급 부정교합자의 양악수술후 교합평면의 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • In Patients with severe skeletal discrepancy, surgical orthodontic treatment must be accompanied, and recently two jaw surgery has become a common procedure, resulting in improved esthetics and function. Choosing the position of the occlusal plane in this two jaw surgery is an important factor in postoperative stability Therefore this must be taken into consideration during the diagnosis and treatment plan. In this study, among patients with skeletal Class III occlusion, 25 patients(8 male, 17 female, average age $23.2{\pm}3.17$) who have undergone two jaw surgery, setting the ideal occlusal plane according to Delaire's architectural and structural cranial analysis. In comparing preoperative($T_1$). postoperative($T_2$, average of 15.4 days), and long-term postoperative($T_3$, average of 32.6 months) lateral cephalometric radiography, the following conclusions have been made. 1. There were no significant changes of the occlusal plane angle after the two jaw surgery, and there were no significant differences between the surgical technique(SSRO and IVRO). 2. The postoperative changes of the occlusal Plane had no relationship with the amount of jaw movement, amount of posterior impaction, nor the time relapse after surgery. 3. After two jaw surgery, in the SSRO group there was significant forward movement of the mandible, and in the IVRO group the lower incisors extruded as the mandible moved backward and downward which makes the genial angle and the mandibular plane angle significantly increased

Improvement of Process for Sorbitol Production with Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide Permeabilized Cells of Zymomonas mobilis through Glutaraldehyde Crosslinking (Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide로 투과성을 높힌 Zymomonas mobilis의 Glutaraldehyde Crosslinking에 의한 Sorbitol 생산 안정성의 향상)

  • Permeabilization of Zymomonas mobilis with CTAB(Cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide) was investigated in order to obtain stable process for sorbitol production in the immobilized system. The optimum conditions for sorbitol formation were obtained in the case of using cells treated with 0.2% CTAB at$ 4^{\circ}C$ for 10 min. Permeabilized cells were treated with glutaraldehyde to cross-link the internal enzyme for the improvement of the enzyme stability. In this way, no significant loss of enzyme activity was apparent during 30-day operation in a continuous process. The productivity of the continuous process at dilution rate 0.2h-1 was 6.51g/1/h for sorbitol. The CTAB permeabilized cells could be used to produce sorbitol in the long term continuous process.
