Effect of Fabrication Processes on the Mechanical Properties of 0.14C-6.5Mn TRIP Steels (0.14C-6.5Mn TRIP강의 기계적 성질에 미치는 제조공정의 영향)

  • This research was examined the effect of intercritical heat treatment on the mechanical Properties and retained austenite formation in 0.1C-6.5Mn steels for the development of a high strength high ductility steel. using of transformation induced plasticity due to retained austenite. The stability of retained austenite is very important for the good ductility and it depend on diffusion of carbon and manganese during reverse transformation. It is effective to heat treat at$ 645^{\circ}C$ in order to obtain over 30 vol.% of retained austenite. However, it is more desirable to heat treat at $620^{\circ}C$, considering the volume fraction and mechanical stability of retained austenite. The strength-elongation combination in cold rolled steel sheets after reverse transformed at $620^{\circ}C$ for 1hr was about 4000k9/mm7, but it decreased rapidly with increasing holding time at high temperature due to the decrease of ductility. The addition of 1.1%Si in 0.14C-6.5Mn TRIP steel does not improve the mechanical properties and retained austenite formation.

A Suppression of Residual Vibration on the Flexible Structures by Input Shaping (입력설계기법에 의한 유연구조물의 잔류진동제어)

  • This paper presents a procedure for designing command to maneuver flexible structure with very little residual vibration, even in the presence of modeling errors. For the open loop maneuver, the various shaped profiles using multiple step inputs delayed in time are considered for robustness and compared with the responses of rigid body and flexible body in virtue of simulations and experiments. Input shaping generates vibration-reducing shaped commands through convolution of an impulse sequence with the desired command. A flexible model with a cylindrical hub and four symmetric appendages is considered to examine the responses to real plant, and to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed shapers. The appendages are long and flexible, leading to low frequency vibration under any control action. It is shown by a series of simulation that a properly designed feedback controller with input shaper performs well, as compared with open loop controller with input shaper. The control objective is to achieve a fast settling time of residual vibration to flexible structure and robustness (insensitivity)to plant uncertainty, to eliminate residual vibration.

  • In this study, variation of effluent of residual chlorine concentration was estimated from bench scale distribution reservoir test according to variation of flow and baffle condition. According to the bench scale test results, when the flow rate was an unsteady state, difference between the case of no-baffle in the reservoir and the case of two-baffles in the reservoir became less than the condition when the effluent flow was in a steady state. Consequently, the results are caused by the flow rate variation. Thus, the baffle is less effective than a clearwell of steady state condition.

  • Viral insecticides were formulated with Spodoptera litura nuclear polyhedrosis virus and different U.V. protectants based on white carbon, molasses, and white carbon and molasses mixture to use as microbial control agents. Effect of rainfall on the attachment of formulated viruses to leaves was no different between the treated and the non-treated experiment. Persistence of the formulations was lated 5 days on the surface-sprayed leaves and 12 days on the under-sprayed leaves which was showing 60% mortality. Total mortality of the viral insecticides was more than 97% with no differences among them. Field evaluation of three viral insecticides in soybean field was very successful then carried out in Chinju, a southern part of Korea. Mortality by the formulation in the field during 14 days was more than 93%, but the formulations contained molasses showed phytotoxicity on soybean leaves. Spray effect of the viral insecticides was begun to appear from 7 days later than that of chemical insecticide.

Development and Validation of an Analytical Method for Quinoxyfen in Agricultural Products using QuEChERS and LC-MS/MS (QuEChERS법 및 LC-MS/MS를 이용한 농산물 중 살균제 Quinoxyfen의 잔류시험법 개발 및 검증)

  • An analytical method was developed for the determination of quinoxyfen in agricultural products using the QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) method by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The samples were extracted with 1% acetic acid in acetonitrile and water was removed by liquid-liquid partitioning with $MgSO_4$ (anhydrous magnesium sulfate) and sodium acetate. Dispersive solid-phase extraction (d-SPE) cleanup was carried out using $MgSO_4$, PSA (primary secondary amine), $C_{18}$ (octadecyl) and GCB (graphitized carbon black). The analytes were quantified and confirmed by using LC-MS/MS in positive mode with MRM (multiple reaction monitoring). The matrix-matched calibration curves were constructed using six levels ($0.001-0.25{\mu}g/mL$) and the coefficient of determination ($R^2$) was above 0.99. Recovery results at three concentrations (LOQ, 10 LOQ, and 50 LOQ, n=5) were in the range of 73.5-86.7% with RSDs (relative standard deviations) of less than 8.9%. For inter-laboratory validation, the average recovery was 77.2-95.4% and the CV (coefficient of variation) was below 14.5%. All results were consistent with the criteria ranges requested in the Codex guidelines (CAC/GL 40-1993, 2003) and Food Safety Evaluation Department guidelines (2016). The proposed analytical method was accurate, effective and sensitive for quinoxyfen determination in agricultural commodities. This study could be useful for the safe management of quinoxyfen residues in agricultural products.

A Investigation on Inelastic Lateral-Torsional Buckling Strength of I-Beam with Load Height Effects (하중고 효과가 비탄성 I형보의 횡-비틀림 좌굴거동에 미치는 영향 고찰)

  • 일반적으로 I형 보에 횡하중이 작용하는 경우, 횡 변위와 함께 회전을 동반하는 횡-비틀림 좌굴(Lateral-Torsional Buckling)이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 I형 보의 탄성 및 비탄성 횡-비틀림 좌굴에 대한 해석적 이론적 연구는 이미 많은 연구자들에 의해 수행되었다(Timoshenko 등, 1961; Galambos, 1963; Lindner, 1974; Trahair, 1993). I형 보의 비지지 길이 내 하중이 작용할 때 모멘트 구배계수(Cb)는 하중이 부재 단면에 작용하는 위치에 따라 달라지게 되는데 이를 하중고 효과(Load Height Effects)라고 한다. 탄성 영역 내 비지지길이가 존재하는 I형 보의 하중고 효과를 고려한 모멘트 구배계수 제안식은 Nethercot & Rockey(1971)에 의해 연구된 바 있다. 또한 Helwig 등(1997)은 Nethercot & Rockey(1971)의 제안식을 간략화 하여 탄성 영역 내 비지지길이가 존재하는 I형 보의 하중고 효과를 고려한 모멘트 구배계수식을 제안하였다. 그러나 현재까지 진행 된 하중고 효과에 대한 연구는 탄성 영역 내 비지지 길이가 존재하는 I형 보에 대한 제안식이며 현재까지 비탄성 영역 내 비지지 길이를 갖는 I형 보의 하중고 효과에 대한 연구는 진행된 바 없다. 본 연구는 비탄성 영역 내 비지지 길이가 존재하는 I형 보의 하중고 효과를 고려한 비탄성 횡-비틀림 좌굴강도에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 하중조건으로는 집중하중 과 등분포 하중을 적용시켰으며, 비선형 횡-비틀림 좌굴 해석을 위해 잔류응력 및 초기변형을 고려하였다. Pi와 Trahair(1995)이 고려한 단순직선분포를 잔류응력으로 가정하였으며, 국내 I형강 표준 치수 허용치(현대제철, 2006)에 근거하여 부재 길이의 0.1%를 초기 최대 횡 변위로 적용하여 초기제작오차로 고려하였다. 유한요소해석결과를 바탕으로 Nethercot & Rockey(1971)와 Helwig 등(1997)의 연구내용을 바탕으로 범용구조해석 프로그램(ABAQUS, 2007)을 이용하여 비탄성 영역 내 존재하는 I형보의 횡-비틀림 좌굴강도를 산정하였다. 유한요소해석결과를 바탕으로 Nethercot & Rockey(1971)및 Helwig 등(1997)의 모멘트구배계수 제안식과 비교 분석 하였고 회기분석프로그램 MINITAB(2006)을 이용하여 비탄성 영역 내 비지지길이가 존재하는 I형보의 하중고 효과를 고려한 모멘트구배계수식을 개발 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 제안식은 경제적이고 합리적인 휨부재 강도평가에 적극 활용될 수 있으며, 비탄성 영역내 I형보의 횡-비틀림 좌굴강도 및 휨강도 연구에 널리 활용될 것이다.
