자동차부품산업의 구조재편과 노동조합의 대응방안 - 조직환경론적 관점을 중심으로 -

  • 본 연구는 자동차부품산업의 구조조정과정에서 나타나는 산업재편과정과 노동조합의 대응을 조직환경론의 세 가지 관점으로 분석해보려고 하는 탐색적 연구이다. 조직환경론은 환경변화에 대응하는 조직의 논리와 전략을 다루는 분야이다. 따라서 조직환경론의 분야는 조직과 환경의 관계를 어떻게 보아야 할 것인가, 그리고 조직이 어떻게 환경변화에 대처하느냐, 나아가 환경의 변화를 유도하기 위하여 어떤 자원과 전략을 활용해야 하는가에 대한 유용한 시사점을 줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 환경과의 의존을 회피하는 것이 좋다는 자원의존관점, 오히려 환경에 대한 의존을 높여 성공할 수 있다는 협력 네트워크관점, 조직변화는 불가능하고 적소를 찾아가야 한다는 조직군생태학 관점을 적용하여 기업의 전략을 분석해보고자 하였다. 이에 따라 원청업체 의존을 회피하려는 기업, 협력네트워크관계에 적극적으로 가입하는 기업, 한국이라는 조직군을 떠나 해외로 이전하는 기업을 대상으로 설문을 분석하고 그 영향요인을 살펴보고자하였다. 분석결과 자원의존을 회피하려는 기업은 가격의 변동과 단가인하가 큰 경우 회피하려는 성향을 보였으며, 반대로 협력네트워크에 들어가려고 하는 기업은 매출의존도가 높아 납품안정성을 기하려는 목적이었으며 해외로 이전하는 기업은 장기간의 경험과 규모가 커지며 새로운 장소로 이전하는 것으로 분석되었다. 즉 자동차부품기업은 단가나 가격의 변화가 심하면 의존을 줄이려고 하며, 안정적 납품을 원할 때 의존을 늘리며 이러한 상태가 장기화되면 새로운 적소를 찾아 떠나는 경향이 있는 것으로 이해된다. 또한 노동조합의 대응차원에서 자원의존관점에 의하여 내부적 전략방향의 설정과 공동연대의 필요성을, 협력네트워크관점에 의하여 산별노조 및 연대의 필요성을, 조직군생태학 관점에 의하여 노동자 통제권의 확보문제를 이론적 차원에서 정리하고자 하였으며 실증은 추후의 연구과제로 제시하였다.

Comparative study on the Differences of Broadcast Journalists' Perception on Work Autonomy by Ownership and Revenue Structure (방송사의 소유와 재원 구조 차이에 따른 기자의 자율성 인식 비교 : 자원의존이론을 중심으로)

  • This study empirically examined the influence of ownership structure(public/private) and revenue structure (high dependency on advertisement/low dependency on advertisement) of broadcasting companies upon journalists' perceptions regarding the degree of freedom in news reporting, the factors that limit freedom of press, satisfaction with the work autunomy and satisfaction with company's policies of news reporting and editing in light of resource dependency theory. The result showed that both the ownership structure and revenue structure of broadcasting companies influenced the journalists' perception regarding the degree of freedom in news gathering and reporting. It was also confirmed that only the revenue structure affected the level of satisfaction with work autonomy while the degree of satisfaction with the company's policies on editing and programing was influenced by the ownership structure. The perception of the factors that limit the freedom of press was found to be influenced only by the ownership structure, as did the satisfaction with policies on editing and programing. These results are very significant as they show that the level of dependence on advertising revenue affects journalists' news reporting, and that journalists of public broadcasting companies are influenced by the dependence on government or other political powers as well as on advertising revenue.

Competition among Chinese Broadcastings, CCTV1, Hunan and Gangso Satellite Broadcasting : The Programming Niche Dimension (중국 방송사들의 프로그램 자원의존 전략에 관한 연구 -CCTV1, 후난 위성방송, 강소 위성방송의 편성행위 분석을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the change of programming strategies of chinese broadcasting as competitions intensify in the niche dimension. Specifically, the niche breadth which indicates the diversity of program genre and way of program production, the niche overlap which indicates the degree of competition among the channels, are investigated. The results show, as the competition has intensified, three chinese television pursued different programming strategies; CCTV1 maintained programming strategy without big change, while Hunan and Gangso pursued change of programming strategy. However the change of programming strategies of Hunan and Gangso showed different direction; Hunan has tended narrows niche breadth of program genre and the way of progrm production, while Gangso broadens niche breadth. In overall, Chinese broadcastings have found the way of co-exist pursuing different programming strategy. And the programming strategy of Gangso satellite broadcasting which broadens niche breadth has showed better performance in rating and advertising revenue.

Theoretical Approaches to Regional Transformation: Path Dependence Theory and Regional Resilience Concept (경로의존론과 지역회복력 개념: 지역격차에 대한 새로운 이론적 접근)

  • Traditionally, economic growth has been uneven over the space. It has also been true for the recovery from social and economic crisis in old industrial areas of the advanced economies. Even if many of such old industrial areas were seriously affected by de-industrialization, some areas have been showing progress, while others have not been so. While interpreting this phenomenon used to be a key issue in economics, main stream liberal economic theorists' explanation was uneven distribution of economic resources, such as raw materials, labour and money. However, some revolutionary economic theorists have brought in the concept of "history" in explaining the phenomenon. Path dependence theorists, for example, interpretate the emergence of different growth paths with the concept of historical accidents. This contrasts to the recent argument of the group of scholars suggesting the concept of "regional resilience," who argue that uneven growth and different growth paths are originated from different regional resilience. This paper introduces the backgrounds, characteristics and utilities of the two theories: path dependence theory and the concept of regional resilience.

  • 본 연구는 자원의존이론, 거래비용이론, 관계계약이론 등의 선행연구를 검토하여 건설업계에서 관계지향성을 행동적 구성요인으로 개념정립하고, 관계지향성에 대한 영향요인 및 관계지향성 행동의 성과변수를 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 행동변수로서의 관계지향성 개념을 정립하기 위해 정보교환, 조화노력, 협동적 규범, 업무적 결속을 사용하였다. 연구표본은 C지역의 전문건설업체를 대상으로 하였다. 실증분석결과에서 단일차원의 관계지향성 개념을 식별하였다.

Significance and Method for a More Balanced Development of the Restaurant Franchise Business - Focused on Performance-Sharing Examples Between Franchisor and Franchisee - (프랜차이즈 산업 균형발전의 의미와 방안 -외식 프랜차이즈 가맹본부와 가맹점 성과의 공유사례를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the theories and cases of performance sharing in the franchise industry to present a method for more effective franchise performance-sharing. To that end, this study reviewed the theory on resource dependence and the theory on inequality to describe the performance-sharing between the franchisor and the franchisee and their relationship. It also looked at the cases of a week-in cooler system at 'Beer Market', the allocation of fees for alcoholic beverage sales to franchisees, the scholarship program of 'Onigiri and Ikyudon' and 'Bonsamo' which is a franchisees' committee for Bonjuk to introduce examples of performance-sharing. Through a theoretical review and case review, this study presents five types of methods for performance-sharing. First, 'the sharing of core competence by the franchise company; second, 'the establishment of a royalty culture'; third, 'scientific analysis of markets and establishment of a revenue forecast system'; fourth, 'reinforced financial support from the franchisor'; and lastly, 'the positive application of franchisees' committees'. Such methods are expected to provide a groundwork for mutual benefit and co-prosperity between franchisor and franchisee.

Pension Structure, Benefit Generosity and Pension Spending in the Retrenchment Period of Welfare States (복지국가 재편의 경로의존성 : 공적연금 제도 구조와 급여관대성 및 지출수준에 관한 비교연구)

  • This study investigated changes and determinants of public pension generosity and pension spending in welfare states during the last retrenchment period. Path-dependency thesis, industrialization theory and power resources model were examined with the twelve welfare states from 1980 to 2007. The main results are as follows. First, the developments of benefit generosity and pension spending have been differently presented according to pension structure. Second, the cross-national pooled-time series analysis confirmed that pension structure is the most significant factors to determine the level of benefit generosity and pension spending. Third, the positive effect of population ageing on pension spendings were proved even without any changes of pension generosity. New social risks, however, have restrained the pension spending. Fourth, the power of the left party and labor union did not affect the pension policy, which implies that power resources theory cannot explain the development of pension policy in this retrenchment period.

The Interaction Effects of Outside Director Ratio and CEO Duality on Acquisition Performance (사외이사의 비중과 기업 인수합병 성과와의 관계: 최고경영자의 이사회 의장직 겸임에 의한 상호작용 효과)

  • This study examined the effects of outside directors and CEO duality on acquisition strategies and performance of Korean firms in high-technology industry. Based on the resource dependence theory, we focused on the service and resource-dependence roles from board of directors in the process of decision-making of acquisition strategies. In addition, CEO opportunism behavior rises when CEO serves as chairperson of board and induces the negative effects on acquisition performance. Specifically, we investigated the interaction effects between outside directors ratio and CEO duality. For the period of 2004 to 2012, 246 acquisitions of Korean firms in high-technology industry were analyzed to test our intended hypotheses. Our results indicate that there exist positive relationship between outside director ratio and acquisition performance for Korean high-technology firms. Negative associations prevail between CEO duality and performance consequences of acquisitions. While outside director ratio has a positive effect on acquisition performance when there is a presence of CEO duality, negative effect prevail for outside director ratio on acquisition performance in the absence of CEO duality position to hold our interaction hypothesis. The favor of dual structure can be explained with implications referring to unity of command and strong leadership driven from CEO duality that enhances the resource dependence roles of board of directors in the context of high-technology industry acquisition behaviors rendered by Korean firms.

The Effect of School-Home-Community Connection on the Alleviation of Teachers' Challenges in Neighborhoods of Immigrant Concentration (이주민 밀집지역 내 학교-가정-지역사회의 연계 효과: 교사의 어려움 경감을 중심으로)

  • Drawing on an open system approach to understanding schools as organizations, this study examined whether challenges experienced by teachers in immigrant neighborhoods are mitigated to the extent in which schools effectively collaborate with parents and other agents in the neighborhoods. Data were gathered from a total of 328 teachers in 32 elementary and middle schools located within areas characterized by high levels of immigrant residential concentration in Seoul and Gyeonggi. The data showed that challenges experienced by teachers were significantly lessened in schools that had organic ties with agents in the external environments. This finding sheds new light on the importance of understanding schools as open-system organizations whose successful performance largely depends on factors external to classrooms. It appears that boundary spanning and bridging strategies may be utilized by school leaders to improve teachers' task performance at schools in areas of immigrant concentration.

한국 해외직접투자기업의 전략적 통제에 관한 연구 -내부자원 상호의존성,과업환경불확실성,해외직접투자회사 소유지분을 중심으로-

  • 범세계적 환경에서 시스템 전체가 대응하는 단일조직으로 국제기업의 기본 틀을 유지하면 서 해외자회사를 효율적으로 통제하는 것은 국제기업의 의사결정과점에서 고려되어야 할 중요한 과제이다. 또한 한국기업의 국제화가 성숙되고 있는 현시점에서 볼 때 진출초기단계의 의사결정문제에서 벗어나 실행된 투자에 대한 사후 관리적 측면에 대한 연구의 필요성이 증 가하고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 한국기업 해외자회사를 대상으로 모-자회사간의 의 사결정과정에서 발생되는 자원준거요인, 상황요인, 해외직접투자 요인에 의한 전략적 통제문제에 관해 실증 분석하였다. 연구의 분석결과, 모회사와 해외자회사 내부자원의 상호의존성이 높으면 높을수록 해외자 회사에 대한 모회사의 전략적 통제는 높을 것이라는 가설검정결과, 고통제집단의 경우, 재무 마케팅 기술 국제경영능력으로 측정된 내부능력에 있어 모두 높은 정의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 분석되었고, 저통제집단의 경우 국제경영능력을 제외한 3개 부분에서는 상관관 계를 보이지 않아, 연구가설의 이론적 예상을 부분적으로 반영하고 있다. 둘째, 해외자회사의 과업환경의 불확실성이 높을수록 해외자회사에 대한 모회사의 전략적 통제는 낮을 것이라는 가설검증결과, 환경의 불확실성이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단 보다 인사 마케팅 생산 재무 등의 4개 부문 모두에서 상대적으로 모기업의 통제가 낮게 나타났지만 생산부문은 통계적으로도 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 과업환경의 불확실성이 높을수록 모회사의 전략적 통제는 낮다는 이론적 예상을 부분적으로 반영하고 있다. 셋째, 해외자회사의 소유지분과 전략적 통제사이에는 유의 적인 상관관계가 존재할 것이라 는 가설의 검증결과는, 마케팅 분야에서만 완전소유 자회사가 다수소유 자회사보다 모회사의 통제의 정도가 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났지만 통계적으로 유의하지 않게 나타났다.
