  • This paper examines the development process of China's venture capital industry and the characteristics of its capital spatial configuration. The results reveal that the development of China's venture capital industry has its unique modality, which varies greatly from existing studies, namely, the desynchronized paces of industry development as well as the regional real capital supply and demand trend. More detailed observation shows the Chinese venture capital's spatial configuration has three main characteristics: first, the separation of the registered location and the actual location of business operation; second, the division and spatial configuration of the venture fund's capital circulation. To find the relevant factors related to the above phenomena, a correlation analysis was conducted between both market factors and non-market factors with the above capital spatial configuration. The analysis confirmed that besides the market factors, local legislative condition also presents a high correlation with the phenomena.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the unique contrasting landscape characteristics of imperial tombs of Qing dynasty by examining the characteristics of facility layout in which location, Feng shui, and siblings are harmonized with the 12 Qing Dynasty Hwanggyeongchim. Through literature surveys, field observation and interviews, videos and drawing comparison, and inductive contrast analysis, the contrasting landscape characteristics of imperial tombs in the Qing Dynasty were analyzed by classifying them into natural environment, location, Feng shui, and formal esthetics. As a result, the characteristics of the location type and the layout plan of the Qing dynasty imperial tombs were derived from the analysis of Feng shui shape, axis extension distance along the midaxial line, the width of the ridge, the formality of the facility layout according to the difference between the height of the starting point and the end point, the leftward direction of the tomb, and the space ratio of the 'entry space' - 'ritual space' - 'burial mound space', etc. In addition, it was possible to derive the facility arrangement characteristics of tombstones through the analysis of the types and the arrangement order of tombs facilities, as well as the distribution, quantity and types of stone figures, while also revealing some contrasting characteristics different from those of the Ming Dynasty. In addition, it was confirmed that the spatial division effect through the water system and the view effect of the view from the midaxial line and the vista are the representative view effect found in the Qing Dynasty imperial tombs along with the density contrast.

• Recently, there is becoming larger interest in the public practice centers equipped with advanced manufacturing equipment of industries that is difficult to have in all vocational high schools for strengthening practical education and technical education tailored to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in vocational high schools. In this study, using spatial optimization approaches, we explored the optimal location sets of the public practice centers of vocational high schools in Seoul for an illustration. For the proposed optimial location methods, P-median Problem (PMP) and Maximal Coverage Location (MCLP) were used because, when the public practice centers located in priority of large vocational high schools based on the number of students, it showed that the result is not minimizing the travel distance and maximizing the demand of the vocational high school students. This study found that the PMP can find the optimal location sets that minimize the travel distance of whole students. In addition, all students can be captured through locating five public practice centers by MCLP. It should be noted that the optimal locations of this study are limited in Seoul. However, the frame of this methodology applied in this study can be utilized to locate the public practice centers in other regions based on the spatial decision making.

  • This study focused on the method of separation - space organization- as one of the architectural methods that is considered by the view point of its location and arrangement of 'Byoul-seo' private garden pavilion in Honam province. As a result, the followings are conclusions; By this study, they can be found in the concept of '居敬窮理', '格物致知'. It is presumed that nature union is archived through the 'yan-sang(玩賞)' which is ultimate state of knowledge that is based on the premises of opened significance in emancipation from narrow view point in the past and cognition of value. Therefore, it is needed to know the unworldly point of space perception about the pavilion territory, furthermore to have conceptual method to distinct pavilion from the world. there are two methods in the distinct concept in this pavilion research: unworldly separation and meditative separation. It is concluded that the specific consideration of the method of separation that is applied in the Byoul-seo pavilion. And it is accomplished by the contemplation of separation method in approach and entrance of direct influence area. they could be 1) cross the hill, 2) cross over a brook, 3) lifted up in the mount, 4) penetrate the forest, and 5) narrow entrance, which could be part of location.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the sales area of gas stations to see the quality and the efficiencies of spatial distribution structure for petroleum products in Tae-jeon City. Location pattern of gas station is classified by factors of competitive facilities, transportation, population and landuse in Tae-jeon City. As a result, High profit pattern and low profit pattern is classified. The characteristics of the distribution pattern of gas station are that the while densely populated has a small sales area, the thinly populated region has huge ones. Location-allocation model is used in order to minimize the travel distance from consumer location to gas station and balance the spatial distribution of gas station in case studies. The result reveals that the model-based locations of gas stations are more dispersed and balanced in the whole Tae-jeon City compared with the actual location of gas stations. This study shows the characteristics and spatial distribution patterns of sales area and location in petroleum products distribution facilities.

  • Pungsu acts as a strong guideline for selecting a location of the village having a certain geographical condition. The attitude of choosing an auspicious site regarding the shape of mountains and water stream, is widely accepted by the intelligent class of Josen period. Therefore, the theory is one of the main factor influenced on the traditional village and house in Korea. Regarding the fact that a real effect of pungsu on the formation of traditional village and house, Study with a view of Pungsu theory could be a good method for deeply understanding the traditional architecture in Korea. In this context, the study analyzes the site and space lay out of an upper class house of vice minister Lee(Lee, Jung Ryul, 1868~1950) in Oeam historic village with Pungsu theory. The house is composed of Anchae(house for the women) and Sanrangchae(house for the men and receiving guests) and Hangrangchae(servants' quarters). • It can be seen that Traditional house of Jeong Si-yeong is located in a place where Saenggi(good energy), which is important in Pungsu(Feng Shui), can be gathered and that energy can be properly maintained. According to the theory of feng shui, a place that is not easily exposed by the surrounding mountains and is well protected by the strong wind was selected, and the main room was placed on the south side so that the sunlight was adequate while facing the north, so that you can live a comfortable life for a long time. Located on such a relatively well-hidden site, it is a location that can cope well with the invasion of Japanese invaders through the sea in the past, and even today, it is seen as a reasonable base that can be properly protected from strong sea winds in reality. On the other hand, if we look at the Hyungguk theory, it was a house built in the late Joseon Dynasty, and we could see the hidden hopes of the nobles at the time. The mountain behind the house is a haebok-type with a crab lying on the seashore, and what the crab symbolizes is the past national exam for official. Considering that the name of the place where the house is located is also Oyat(cucumber tree)-ri, where many cucumber trees closely related to the royal family of the Joseon Dynasty were planted, it seems that the family wished for prosperity by producing many Sadaebu(upper class gentry) in the past and forming a good relationship with the royal family.
