For the data collection, this study conducted a survey utilizing the questionnaire targeting 188 students(third & fourth year) of two nursing colleges located in a province, from September 1st to September 30th 2019. Using the SPSS WIN 21.0 Program for the data analysis, this study used the t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. In the results of this study, the satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing students had positive correlation with subjective happiness, and negative correlation with perceived stress. The factors having effects on the satisfaction with clinical practice were major satisfaction, gender, perceived stress, subjective happiness, and subjective health status, and the explanatory power of those variables was 21.9%. Based on such results of this study, it would be necessary to develop the complex educational programs considering the elements like decrease of perceived stress and improvement of subjective happiness at the same time, in order to improve the satisfaction with clinical practice.

Methods: We surveyed 1,030 nursing students from two different universities with a questionnaire consisting of items regarding attitudes toward death, self-esteem and life satisfaction. The data were analyzed using a PASW program. Results: Students with clinical experience scored 2.85 on the attitude toward death, while those without clinical experience scored 2.79 (t=2.775, P=0.006). Students with clinical experience had significantly higher self-esteem (t=4.541, P<0.001) and life satisfaction (t=4.050, P<0.001) than those without it. Students with clinical experience showed correlations between attitude toward death and self-esteem (r=0.159, P<0.001) and life satisfaction (r=0.090, P=0.025), while those without it did not (r=0.106, P=0.014). Conclusion: These results provide guidance for developing educational strategies such as educational program to help students build positive attitude toward death through their experience in clinical practice.

  • Simulation practice training is used in nursing education as an education method to improve the adaptability to the clinical field, but responds to unpredictable situations and negatively affects practice satisfaction. This study applied a team-based learning utilizing a pre-briefing inequality controls ago to investigate the effect of self-efficacy, simulation practice satisfaction and clinical performance of the nursing college in the simulation based nursing education and after quasi-experimental study. Data collection in the fourth grade and P University Nursing 72 peoples, the study period is from November 15 from October 14, 2019. As a result, the experimental group that applied team-based learning using pre-briefing showed higher self-efficacy, simulation practice satisfaction, and clinical performance than the control group. Therefore, applying team-based learning to the pre-briefing process can be an important learning strategy for simulation practice training, and suggests a follow-up study to confirm the effectiveness by standardizing the pre-briefing step later.

The experimental group showed higher level of practice satisfaction (p<.001), practice stress (p= .048) and clinical competence (p= .030) compared to the control group. Simulation-based practice is an effective learning method for Women's nursing and can be used as the alternative for clinical practice. However, stress management strategies are needed for simulation-based practice.

  • A self-administered survey was conducted on dental hygiene students at colleges or universities in Chungcheong Province to increase the levels of practice for them and provide basic data that could improve their major satisfaction after practice. The data was collected from December 2012 to April 2013 and 766 questionnaires, except for 13 containing insincere responses, were finally analyzed using SPSS/Win18.0. The on- and off-campus practice groups formed 59.7% and 57.4%, respectively. The most frequent place for practice was university dental hospitals, followed in order by hospitals/clinics and health centers. University students were more satisfied with on-campus practice in terms of factors, such as practice contents, practice time, and practice performance than those at three-year colleges. The students in the higher grades were more satisfied with the practice time. The university students were also more satisfied with off-campus practice in terms of all the factors than those at three-year colleges. The students in higher grades were more satisfied with the practice time and practice performance. The on- or off-campus practice group was generally more satisfied with their major than the non-practice group, and each of the factors-practice performance, practice time, practice environment, and practice contents-significantly affected the major satisfaction. The results highlight the need to plan and provide satisfactory education based on an understanding and awareness of students so that they can take pride in their major through on- and off-campus practice. In addition, it is also necessary to develop educational guidelines for clinical practice and efficient programs so that clinical practice can create the optimal learning situation.
