Screening of Humectant to Improve Conservatation of Bacterial Culture Agar Plate (미생물 배양 배지의 보관성을 개선하기 위한 보습성분의 탐색)

  • 현재 가장 일반적으로 사용되는 미생물 배양 용기인 petri dish를 통해 제조된 미생물 배양 배지의 보관은 냉장과 실온 보관 시 수분 증발에 대한 보호 효과가 극히 낮아 한 달 이상으로 배지 품질을 유지하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 petri dish를 이용하여 미생물 배양 배지를 제조할 때 glycerol 등 7종의 보습성분을 첨가하여 이에 따른 미생물 배양 배지의 수분 증발 억제 효과와 표준균주별 증식반응을 비교, 분석한 것으로 결과적으로 sodium lactate를 제외한 6종의 보습성분이 배지의 수분 증발을 억제하는 효과가 있으며 이들에 대한 표준균주별 증식반응에서도 양성의 결과를 보여주었다. 앞으로 본 연구의 결과는 즉시 사용 배지(PPM, Pre-Plated Media)의 유통기한 연장 효과 및 품질향상에 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Aroma constituents, ergosterol and proximate analysis of Neolentinus lepideus (잣버섯의 일반성분 및 에르고스테롤, 향기성분)

  • Nutritional and functional components, such as approximate, and volatile flavor compounds, ergosterol and proximate analysis of artificially cultivated Neolentinus lepideus were analyzed. The common elements of N. lepideus were analyzed to have 6.3% crude ash, 19.1% crude protein, 1.9% crude fat, and 8.9% crude fiber, respectively. The volatile flavor compounds of N. lepideus were characterized as 3-Octanone, 3-Octanol and 1-Octanol. The ergosterol content of N. lepideus was shown to be 145.9 ppm.

  • 커져만 가는 비건 시장에 비해서 비건 제품의 가격은 높고, 한정되어 있다. 성분표만을 보고 비건 여부를 파악하기에는 어렵고, 저시력자 및 시각장애인에게는 더욱 어려운 일이다. 치주 질환이나 당뇨를 포함한 크고 작은 다양한 질병으로 인해 육식 섭취 대신 불가피하게 채식을 실천해야 하는 경우 또는 가격 부담이 크고 찾기 어렵다. 그래서 비건 인증을 받은 제품 대신 일반 제품들 사이에서 비건에 적합한 제품을 찾는 데 도움이 되는 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 저시력자 및 시각장애인을 위한 큰 글씨 화면, 음성 입출력 시스템 제공과 성분표 촬영을 통해 비건 적합 여부 및 알레르기 정보 제공, 사용자 특성 분석을 통한 UI 구성의 서비스를 제공한다. 성분표 촬영에 어려움을 겪는 저시력자 및 시각장애인에게 편리를 제공하기 위해 소프트웨어 뿐만 아니라 하드웨어를 구성한다.

Effects of high energy diet on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and blood constituents of Hanwoo steers distributed by estimated breeding value for meat quality (고에너지 사양이 육종가 배치별 거세한우의 성장, 도체, 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was to investigate the effect of high energy diet on characteristics of Hanwoo steers distributed by estimated breeding value (EBV). The aim of this experiment was to determine the effect of high energy diet on the high and low beef group distributed by EBV for quality grades. We hypothesized that high energy diet is able to increase quality traits in high EBV groups when fed a high energy diet. A $2{\times}2$ factorial arrangement (High energy, control vs high EBV, low EBV) in a completely random design was used to feed 26 Hanwoo steers. Blood was drawn from each steers from 11 to 28 months. ADG and feed efficiency were not different between high energy and control diet (P>0.05). The level of DMI was greater at calf and early fattening diet in low EBV groups (P<0.05). Serum glucose and tryglyceride conecntrations were increased (P<0.05) by high EBV group from 22 to 28 month old. Serum NEFA concentration were plateau at 24 months at high EBV group and steady reduced by high energy diet (P<0.05). This data indicated that high energy diets increased serum glucose and triglyceride concentrations of high EBV steers at final fattening period.

Analysis of the Seasonal Change of the Proximate Composition and Taste Components in the Conger Eels (Conger myriaster) (붕장어(Conger myriaster)의 일반성분 및 맛 성분의 계절별 변화 분석)

  • Conger eel (Conger myriaster) is used as a well-being food in the foodservice industry in Korea. We analyzed not only the proximate composition but also the taste components affecting conger eel, which are fatty acids, nucleotides, amino acids, etc. Concerning the composition, the crude lipid was the lowest in summer at 3.2%, which is considered due to spawning period. The major fatty acids were $C_{16:0},\;C_{16:1},\;C_{18:0},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{20:5},\;and\;C_{22:6}$. The $C_{18:1}$ content was the highest among the fatty acids and the content varied between 36.76 and 45.11% by season. Seasonal change in the content of poly-unsaturated fatty acids was increased from spring to winter in conger eel. Among the nucleotides, the contents of IMP (3.617$\sim$5.524 $\mu$mol/g) and Hx (0.913$\sim$2.238 $\mu$mol/g), which is closely related to taste, and the concentrations of IMP and Hx were the highest (7.219 $\mu$mol/g) in winter, and HxR (0.625$\sim$1.652 $\mu$mol/g) was higher than ATP (0.058$\sim$0.083 $\mu$mol/g), ADP (0.145$\sim$0.161 $\mu$mol/g), and AMP (0.166$\sim$0.179 $\mu$mol/g). In conger eels, the major total and free amino acids were glutamic acid (14,178.7$\sim$7,802.6 mg%), aspartic acid (4,669.2$\sim$8,259.0 mg%), lysine (4,198.3$\sim$7,540.8 mg%), leucine (3,843.6$\sim$6,782.1 mg%), and histidine (199.6$\sim$644.4 mg%), glycine (94.8$\sim$152.2 mg%), alanine (35.3$\sim$71.2 mg%), glutamic acid (44.1$\sim$70.6 mg%), respectively, but the concentration of amino acids was different by season. The content of free amino acids, which is related to the taste component, was detected as high in summer and winter at 1179.2 and 1,605.2 mg%, respectively.

Compare of Agriculture Character of Drought-Tolerant GM in Large GM Field (대규모 GM 포장에서 내건성 GM 벼의 농업적 특성 비교)

  • The significance of environment change and genetic safety has been recently recognized by many genetically modified (GM) plants. This study was to evaluate the safety of drought-tolerant rice and to identify the environment variance. The GM rice of drought-tolerant rice and four check cultivars were analyzed the data on agronomic characters and principal component in large-GM crop field. There was no significant difference in agronomic characters between the drought-tolerant rice and donor plant, 'Ilmi'. Grain yield showed the standard deviation of the difference, did not significant statistically. Related to grain characters, grain appearance were similar to the drought-tolerant rice and donor plant, 'Ilmi'. In Chemical characters, brown rice of the drought-tolerant rice and a donor plant, 'Ilmi' did difference in starch and protein, however, was similar as 'Ilpum'. These results indicated that drought-tolerant rice may perform to detect genetic safety in GM plants progeny.

Evaluation of Nutritional Characteristics of Platycodon grandiflorum Seeds (도라지 종자의 영양학적 특성 평가)

  • In this study, proximate composition, crude fiber, reducing sugar, free sugars, organic acids, minerals and amino acids of Platycodon grandiflorum seeds were analyzed to evaluate its nutritional value. Moisture, crude protein, crude fat, crude ash and carbohydrate contents of seeds were 6.97, 26.05, 27.46, 3.78 and 35.74%, respectively. Crude fiber of 6.31% and reducing sugars of 1.54% were also determined. Sucrose(1,661 mg/100 g) and lactic acid(1,224 mg/100 g) were most abundant free sugar and organic acid, respectively. Both phosphorus and potassium were main minerals that contained more than 700 mg in 100 g seeds. Amino acids analysis of 100 g seeds showed that glutamic acid(3.45 g), arginine(2.51 g), aspartic acid(1.66 g), leucine(1.29 g), lysine(1.10 g), alanine(1.05 g) and glycine(1.04 g) were abundantly contained in order, while others were less than 1 g.

The Changes in Fatty Acids and Free Amino Acids of Raw and Salted-dried Flathead by Various Cooking Methods (생양태와 염건양태의 조리과정 중 지방산과 유리아미노산의 변화)

  • The changes in fatty acids and free amino acids of raw and salted-dried flatheads were determined during steaming, boiling and baking process. 1. Raw flathead was composed of 74.9% of moisture, 1.9% of ash, 0.9% of crude lipid, and 21.6% of crude protein. 2. The main fatty acids of raw and salted-dried flathead were palmitic acid (21.5%) and lignoceric acid (52.4%) which covered 73.9% of total fatty acid. The fatty acid contents of raw and salted-dried flathead were higher in the steaming than in the boiling and baking. 3. The main free amino acids of .aw and salted-dried flathead were aspartic acid (12.2%), glutamic acid(14.8%), leuicine (8.4%), Iysine (9.8%) and arginine (6.8%), which covered 52% of total free amino acids. There were significant differences (p<0.05) in the contents of free amino acids between raw and salted-dried flatheads as well as among steaming, boiling and baking processes.

Exploiting Chunking for Dependency Parsing in Korean (한국어에서 의존 구문분석을 위한 구묶음의 활용)

  • In this paper, we present a method for dependency parsing with chunking in Korean. Dependency parsing is a task of determining a governor of every word in a sentence. In general, we used to determine the syntactic governor in Korean and should transform the syntactic structure into semantic structure for further processing like semantic analysis in natural language processing. There is a notorious problem to determine whether syntactic or semantic governor. For example, the syntactic governor of the word "먹고 (eat)" in the sentence "밥을 먹고 싶다 (would like to eat)" is "싶다 (would like to)", which is an auxiliary verb and therefore can not be a semantic governor. In order to mitigate this somewhat, we propose a Korean dependency parsing after chunking, which is a process of segmenting a sentence into constituents. A constituent is a word or a group of words that function as a single unit within a dependency structure and is called a chunk in this paper. Compared to traditional dependency parsing, there are some advantage of the proposed method: (1) The number of input units in parsing can be reduced and then the parsing speed could be faster. (2) The effectiveness of parsing can be improved by considering the relation between two head words in chunks. Through experiments for Sejong dependency corpus, we have shown that the USA and LAS of the proposed method are 86.48% and 84.56%, respectively and the number of input units is reduced by about 22%p.

An Analysis of the EEG Activity Between Gifted and Average Student in Problem Solving Process (문제 해결과정에서 과학 영재아와 일반아의 뇌파 활성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey its characteristics through analyzing brain-wave activity in the scientifically-gifted and general children in the problem-solving process. The subjects of this study were 6 elementary school students, who are attending the institute of education for the gifted belonging to the regional office of education and 6 general children in the same region. The analysis was performed targeting total 12 people. As the task for measuring brain wave is Hanio tower, it is the effective task of researching into the problem-solving process. As the equipment of measuring brain wave is EEG System, it used equipment that was developed in Australia. The analysis of data was minimized noise. As a result of research, the gifted children are excellent in stable level compared to general people in a stable situation with opening the eyes, thereby being able to be known to be high in preparatory level for learning. This can be seen to be indicated as a result that the effect of learning is excellent due to being high in preparatory level for solving problem. Also, even in the process of performing task, the brain-activity level in the gifted children is high, thereby having been able to know that ${\alpha}-wave$ is formed that is significantly high in the regions of frontal lobe and occipital lobe. Accordingly, given developing task that is high in brain activity level of the gifted children, the higher educational effect will be able to be expected.
