Development of a Remote Dust Collector Bag Control System using Power Line Communication (전력선 통신을 이용한 원격 집진기 bag 제어 시스템 개발)

  • Advances in communications and control technology, the strengthening of the Internet, and the growing recognition of the urgency to reduce the risk and production cost are motivating the development of improvements in the traditional manufacturing industry. In this paper, we developed a remote dust collector bag control system which is a combination of advanced IT and traditional dust collector based on the event. At first, we made the A/D(Analog/Digital) converter using a micro processor because the differential pressure transmission, which is a sensor of the dust collector, produces analog volt data. A/D converter can provide RS-232 communication to connect with Power Line Communication(PLC) modem. And, n-bytes message format was defined for the efficient dust collector bag information transmission from a dust collector to a user. Also, we designed the data types to model the dust collector and the dust collector bag, and they were logically modeled using XML and object-oriented modeling method. In addition to that, we implemented the system for showing the dust collector bag exchange time exactly to users at real-time using various visual user interfaces.

  • In the past, the control system was a closed network that was not connected to the external network. However, in recent years, many cases have been opened to the outside for the convenience of management. Are connected to the Internet, and the number of operating control systems is increasing. As a result, it is obvious that hackers are able to make various attack attempts targeting the control system due to external open, and they are exposed to various security threats and are targeted for attack. Industrial control systems that are open to the outside have most of the remote management ports for web services or remote management, and the expansion of web services through web programs inherits the common web vulnerability as the control system is no exception. In this study, we classify and compare existing web vulnerability items in order to derive the most commonly tried web hacking attacks against control system from the attacker's point of view. I tried to confirm.

Smart Cane for the blind interworking with Sound Signal Generator (음향 신호기와 연동하는 시각 장애인을 위한 스마트 지팡이)

  • Facilities for pedestrian safety of the visually impaired are scarce on the walkway and crosswalk. Braille blocks are installed on the walkways and RF controlled signal lights and sound generators are installed on the crosswalk at the main intersection for the visually impaired. An RF remote control system using one frequency has a problem of simultaneously operating nearby signal lamps and sound generators at an intersection. In this paper, we develop the smart cane that uses a beacon to identify the signal lamp and sound generators installed on the crosswalk at intersections and to operate the signal lamps and sound generators in the direction of the walk by IR communication. The developed smart cane is able to provide the pedestrian navigation for the blind by interworking with mobile apps through Bluetooth communication.

Implementation of Home Monitoring System Using a Vacuum Robot with Wireless Router (유무선공유기와 청소로봇을 이용한 홈 모니터링 시스템의 구현)

  • The recent trend in home network system includes intelligent home environments that remote monitoring and control service is achieved without restrictions by device types, time, and place. Also the use of a vacuum robot in homes is gradually generalized on account of the convenience of the use. In this paper, we proposed and realized new home-monitoring system with the employment of an self-movement robot as one trial for realizing an intelligent home under home network environment. The proposed system can freely monitor every where in home, because the system effectively overcame the surveillance limitations of the existing monitoring system by attaching a Wireless Router and WebCam to a commercial vacuum robot. The outdoor users of this system can readily monitor any place which they want to supervise by controlling a vacuum robot with mobile telecommunication devices such as PDA. The wireless router installed with Linux operation system "OpenWrt" made it possible for the system users to transmit images and to control a vacuum robot with RS-232 communication.

  • PSTN (public switched telephone network) provides voice communication service, whereas IP network provides data oriented service, and we can use IP network for multimedia transport service (e.g. voice over IP service) with economic price. In this paper, we propose RoIP (robot on IP) service scenario, signaling call flow, and implementation to provide home automation and monitoring service for remote site users. In our scheme, we used a extended SIP (session initiation protocol) for signaling protocol between remote site users and home robots. For our bearer transport control, we implemented H.263 video codec over RTP (real-time transport protocol) and additionally DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) transport for robot actuator control. We implemented our scheme on home robots and experimented with KTF operator network, and it shows good communication quality (average MOS = 9.15) and flexible robot controls.

  • The heat treatment facility is in a situation where the scope of application of the remote IOT system is expanding due to the harsh environment caused by high heat and long working hours among the root industries. In this heat treatment process environment, the IOT middleware is required to play a pivotal role in interpreting, managing and controlling data information of IoT devices (sensors, etc.). Until now, the system controlled by the heat treatment remotely was operated with the command of the operator's batch system without overall monitoring of the site situation. However, for the safety and precise control of the heat treatment facility, it is necessary to control various sensors and recognize the surrounding work environment. As a solution to this, the heat treatment safety support system presented in this paper proposes a support system that can detect the access of the work manpower to the heat treatment furnace through thermal image detection and operate safely when ordering work from a remote location. In addition, an OPEN CV-based deterioration analysis system using DNN deep learning network was constructed for faster and more accurate recognition than general fixed hot spot monitoring-based thermal image analysis. Through this, we would like to propose a system that can be used universally in the heat treatment environment and support the safety management specialized in the heat treatment industry.

  • In this paper, we implement the network image control system in which a wireless robot with a built camera monitors the dangerous place where human cannot approach. In the proposed network image control system, the noise occurred in wireless communication is reduced by implementing the noise eliminating circuit and the driving time of a wireless robot is increased by adopting the mercury battery. By constructing the image control network with the Internet, the image is monitored controled in the remote site with a wireless robot.

  • TCP/IP는 internet의 표준 통신규약으로 오랜 기간동안 많은 응용 프로그램의 기본 프로토콜로 사용되고 있으며, 다양한 통신 환경에서도 상당히 안정적인 동작을 하도록 고안된 방식이다. 그러나 데이터 전송의 안정성에 비중을 두어 고안된 방식으로 전력시스템 등의 산업용 기기 제어와 같은 실시간 특성이 요구되는 응용에는 다소 부적합한 면이 없지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통한 원격 제어가 가능하도록 TCP/IP를 기반으로 하되, 실시간 제어를 고려한 응용계층에서 동작하는 데이터 전송 규약을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 MPEG4 스트리밍을 기반으로 하여 다용도로 인터넷에서 영상 및 음성을 전송할 수 있는 시스템(RealCam SUN A/V)를 설계하고 구현하였다. 기존의 인터넷응용 시스템들은 주변 관찰용, 인터넷 방송용, 원격 장비 제어용 등의 독립된 시스템으로 개발 운영되고 있으며, 2개 이상의 용도를 사용하기 위해서는 여러 개의 시스템을 설치하여 사용해야 하는 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 이들 용도를 하나로 통합하여 다목적으로 활용할 수 있게 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였으며, 그 결과 56Kbps 에서는 160*120 화면 크기로는 초당 15프레임정도의 영상 전송을 할 수 있었고, 512Kbps에서는 640*480 크기를 초당 30프레임으로 서비스할 수 있었다.

  • 방송 및 통신의 융합으로 인하여 인터넷을 통한 멀티미디어의 시청은 이제 보편화되었다. 특히, 개인형 방송 재전송 장비는 댁내 개인방송을 인터넷을 통하여 전송하는 임베디드 시스템으로 개발되어 댁내에 있는 기존 멀티미디어 기기/ 컨텐츠를 인터넷을 통하여 동일한 환경으로 향유할 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 이러한 개인형 방송 재전송 장비는 하드웨어 설치외에 별도의 소프트웨어 설치 및 설정이 필요하여 사용자의 초기 접근이 쉽지 않다. 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크 프로토콜인 UPnP를 통하여 개인형 방송 재전송 장비를 사용자의 설정 없이 사용할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 이는 기본적인 접근 설정외에 채널 변경 등의 원격 제어 서비스를 UPnP를 통해 지원하는 방법을 포함한다.
