System Developing for the module of Mobile Broadcast on the Android Platform (안드로이드 플랫폼에서 모바일 방송 모듈을 위한 시스템 개발)

  • Expand the market because the size of the huge funds administered by the conversion of over-the-air digital TV broadcasts in the current situation is likely to be reduced due to the influence of the media over-the-air broadcasts new paid media, digital cable TV and IPTV new mobile TV as a new growth engineis required. Broadcasting system to increase the supply and demand of the module from the ATSC-M/H DMB business existing in the domestic over-the-air broadcasters, has seen significant achievements in sleep technology with the introduction is expected. ATSC-M/H does not require a separate frequency allocation for mobile services does not interfere with the existing ATSC system simulcast, which can be performed on Android mobile handsets American-style mobile broadcast reception module to develop should. This paper is to design the software modules in the broadcasting module embedded systems that are applied on the Android platform, broadcasting from mobile handsets to see.

  • Science and technology association is producing huge amount of information through the academic activities related in industrial technology between the members and becoming major provider of industrial technology information. But the infrastructure in its individual institute of institution is very poor, which makes systematic management and service unavailable. So, KISTI developed the management and logistics system collecting and processing various technical information produced by institutes and managing as well as distributing through the web. We studied cases matched with requirements of institution and opted for the modeling, using web based application and information retrieval system. Finally, the members of the institution as well as unregistered users can access to the technical reports database easily and quickly. We are planning to extend the range of target institutes and make a progress the system to high functional level.

  • Conventional design producing systems using the Internet are largely classified into two groups: a basic type in which an operator of a design producing site receives an order for manufacture of a design from a purchaser, produces the design based on the content of the received order, and delivers the produced design to the purchaser; and a type in which a purchaser inspects given designs and select one of them for purchasing. Such conventional design producing systems have following problems. Firstly, receiving an order over the internet and delivering a produced design to a purchaser has nearly the same procedure as a conventional logo design procedure with the sole exception that an order can be received through the Internet. Therefore, the production of a design still costs a great deal and takes much time. Secondly, inspecting given designs, selecting one and producing the selected design is like simply selecting a picture, and thus a purchaser is not allowed to modify a design. To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present a new solution to provide a self-design producing system and method using network, in which a purchaser searches a design database for a design suitable for the purchaser's company, determines a design database by modifying design conditions, and makes an order for manufacture of a product to which the determined design is applied, through the Internet.

  • In the current wireless Internet environment, using a mobile device to quickly access a web site is closely related to measuring the performance of a website. When accessing a website, the user has a long time to access the website and has no access to the website.In this case, the performance of the web site should be improved by measuring and analyzing the performance of the connection delay due to a problem of the web site.Among the performance measurement factors of Web sites, Web page loading time is a very important factor for a successful service business in the situation where most of e-commerce business is being developed as a web-based service.An open source tool was analyzed to analyze the performance of the e-commerce web page to present problems, software optimization methods and hardware optimization methods. Applying two optimization methods to suit the environment will enable stable and e-commerce websites.

  • To join the leading four countries in high speed railway technology, the next generation high speed railway technology development project is undergoing. And, applying the IT for the safety and convenience of a passenger and an attendant is one of the research topics of the project. From the 24 derived candidate IT applications, the seven applications, such as information on an individual LCD monitor, an emergency or reminder notification, an Internet connection, remote communication with an attendant, air quality monitoring, extraordinary noise detection, and detection of an emergency in the lavatory, were selected to be implemented on the next generation train. In this paper, we presented the survey that was performed to make the selection process to be objective. Additional findings, such as what other services a passenger wishes to be provided, what activities passengers prefer to do based on duration of the trip, and things that make a passenger discomfort, were summarized.

Criticizing the Market Concentration Regulation in Open Media Environment (개방형 콘텐츠 유통환경에서 시장집중 규제에 대한 비판적 고찰)

  • Government has strictly regulated the concentration of the media market because the number of broadcasters was traditionally limited and they had significant influence on public. However as the media market converges with Internet's open architecture, scarcity and pervasiveness are losing their roles in justifying media regulation. This article examines market convergence and its impact on market concentration, and criticizes the current concentration regulation. The study indicates that market performance are much governed by firm's competitive actions than market structure, and that vertical integration contributes to service innovations, and that horizontal concentration makes it difficult to measure due to its even-changing market definition. Therefore, the regulation for market concentration should shift its focus from firm's market share to broadcaster's unfair acts driving market inefficiency and hurting content diversity.

  • Many foreign freight forwarders make inroads into domestic markets. Korean freight forwarders are not competitive on th domestic logistics area because of higher customer services by foreign freight forwarders in Korea. The purpose of this research is to analyze degree of satisfaction on customer services attributes of freight forwarders in Korea, and to strengthen the competitiveness of customer services by Korea freight forwarders in contrast to foreign investment freight forwarders in Korea. The results of the research could be summarized as follows.: When freight forwarders are selected, the most important customer service attributes have been ranked in order with 'the accuracy management of shipping order' , the reasonable offers of freight rate' and 'the quick arrangement of vessels' when freight forwarders are selected.

  • Recently, the spreading business of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) remote metering systems in various regions of the country has been activated, and it provides various metering functions such as two-way communication and security plan functions for power demand management. Current AMI system is difficult to analyze based on the existing RDB(Relational Database) due to the increase in the size of new internal IoT devices and networks. This study proposes a new GDB(Graph Database) based failure analysis method that utilizes existing RDB data. It analyzes the correlation of new failure patterns through accumulated data such as internal thresholds and status values. As a result of GDB-based simulation, it was confirmed that RDB can predict to a new obstacle pattern that was difficult to analyze.

  • AI (Artificial Intelligence) has attracted interest as a key element for technological advancement in various fields. In Korea, internet companies are leading the development of AI business technology. Active government funding plans for AI technology has also drawn interest. But not everyone is optimistic about AI. Both positive and negative opinions coexist about AI. However, attempts on analyzing people's opinions about AI in a quantitative way was scarce. In this study, we used text mining on SNS (Social Networking Service) to collect opinions about AI. And then we performed a comparative analysis about whether people view it as a positive thing or a negative thing and performed a comparative analysis to recognize popular key-words. Based on the results, it was confirmed that the change of key-words and negative posts have increased through time. And through these results, we were able to predict trend about AI.

A study of the vitalization strategy for public sports facility through big-data (빅데이터 분석을 활용한 기금지원 체육시설 활성화 방안)

  • As interest increases in health promotion through sports, demand for public sports facilities is steadily growing. However, there is a lack of research on operation and management compared with the supply plan of public sports facility. In this context, the aim of this study is to address problems of management of public sports centers and suggest strategies for vitalizing the facilities through the big-data. The data are collected from web such as news, blog, and cafe for one year in 2015. From the big-data, We can find that the national sports centers and the open gyms showed similar users' behavior but showed different needs. Both facilities have been used as sports and leisure area and have a high percentage of visitors for other purposes such as walking, picnics, etc. However, while the national sports facilities which were used for more specialized programs, the open sports center were used as leisure space.
