  • 1. Purpose of study : In Oriental Traditional medicine, especially in Sasang Constitutional Medicine the mind and the body are not separated. Psychological characteristics are very important as well as physical characteristics in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. This study was performed to investigate the psychological characteristics of Sasang Constitution. 2. Subjects and Methode of Study : Subjects were 63 persons. There were male 54 and female 9 who were healthy. There were Taeumin 35, Soumin 17, and Soyangin 11. We judged Sasang Constitution in QSCC II and the diagnosis by a medical specialist. The degree of depression and anxiety was determined by Beck's Depression Inventory(BDI) and State-Trait Axiety Inventroy(STAI, State Anxiety : S-A, Trait Anxiety : T-A). We studied the psychological characteristics - Depression and Anxiety - in the Sasang Constitution by analyzing BDI and STAI scores. 3. Result of study : 1) The score of STAI(S-A) in Soeumin(少陰人) group was significantly higher than that in Taeumin(太陰人) group. 2) The score of STAI(T-A) in Soeumin(少陰人) group was significantly higher than that in Taeumin(太陰人) group and Soyangin(少陽人) group. 3) The score of BDI in Soeumin(少陰人) group was higher than that in Taeumin(太陰人) group and Soyangin(少陽人) group, but it was not significant statistically. 4. Conclusion of study These result suggest that Soeumin(少陰人) is more anxious than Soyangin(少陽人) and Taeumin(太陰人).

  • Blasting vibrations velocity had been used to design blasting pattern and predict damage-possibility of structures. As vibration levels are currently required to estimate the damage concerning human-body and livestock, so measured vibration velocities must be transformed into vibration levels. In this study, the digital filter program was developed to transform measured data into vibration levels. Simple harmonic vibrations and measured data obtain by Blastmate series (Instantel Inc.) were applied to the digital filter program. As a result, simple harmonic vibrations and measured data were successfully transformed into vibration levels using the developed program. Measured data from any instrument with ASCII output-function will similarly be transformed into level units.

  • This study aimed to analyze and compare results from psychological relaxations by using profile of mood state (POMS) and Malondialdehyde (MDA) level as a scale of oxidative damage before and after walking in the forest and on the street. 29 participations (15 men and 14 women) walked in the forest and on the street for 30 minutes of each for two days. The participations filled a questionnaire for POMS and conducted an heart rate variability test, oxidative damage test (MDA as biological marker through a urine test) before and after walking. To compare the psychological states after walking in the two difference places, walking in the forest showed statistically more meaningful results in the section of tension, depression, anger, fatigue, confuse and total mood disturbance (p<0.01) than walking on the street. According to the MDA results, a concentration of MDA showed significant increase after walking on the street (p=0.014). On the contrary to this, a concentration of MDA tended to decrease after walking in the forest (p=0.076). The study showed that the psychological states were more stable and oxidative damages were more decreasing after walking in the forest than walking on the street. In the conclusion, MDA would be biological indicator for assessing the effect of alleviation on the oxidative stress after walking in the forest.

  • Background: This study was designed to investigate the effects of usual negative emotional experiences on biological aging progression of human. Methods: A total of 237 subjects who visited the Health Promotion Center at Chungnam National University Hospital from May 2013 through September 2013 was enrolled. Each subject had been drawn up a structured questionnaire about usual experiences of depression, anxiety, anger, and anger expression. The degree of biological aging progression of each subject was computed by a specific formula which consisted of chronological age and biological age reflecting obesity and aging of main organs. Results: Trait anger and low education level showed the significant correlations with biological aging (r=0.160, P=0.014, and r=-0.189, P=0.024, respectively). Trait anger and low education level solely displayed the significant $R^2s$ for biological aging in consequence of multivariate analyses; $R^2=0.044$, P=0.020, and $R^2=0.022$, P=0.038, respectively. Conclusions: This study suggests that the significant relationship between usual anger experience (i.e., trait anger) and biological aging would be present. In addition, lower education level may be related with biological aging.

  • This study aimed to investigate the difference of X-ray exposure by comparing and analyzing absorbed dose according to changes in the number of frames in coronary angiography, also depending whether the zoom mode is FOV enlargement or Zoom Live. Moreover, for appropriate frame selection measures for examination, including the effect of frame change on the image quality, were sought by measuring the noise strength expressed by the standard deviation (SD), the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and contrast to noise ratio (CNR). The study was conducted with an anthropomorphic phantom on an angio-system. The linear relationship between the frame rate and the radiation dose was evident. On the contrary, the indices of image quality (SD, SNR, and CNR) were almost constant irrespective of the number of frames. The difference depending on the zoom mode was not statistically significant for DAP, air kerma, and SD (p > 0.05). However, SNR and CNR were statistically different between FOV enlargement and Zoom Live. In conclusion, since the image quality was not degraded significantly with the decreasing frame rate from 30, 15, to 7.5 f/s and the radiation dose evidently decreases in almost exactly linear proportion to the decreasing frame rate, the number of frames per second needs to be maintained as low as reasonably achievable. As for the dependence on the zooming mode, the Live Zoom mode showed statistically significant improvement in the image quality indices of SNR and CNR and it justifies active use of the Live Zoom mode which enables real-time image enlargment without additional radiation dose.

  • This study examined the research trends of "Microplastic in food" with a scholar databaseusing the centrality analysis method. The data was based on research papers published from 2011 to 2020, sorted by "microplastic" and "food". The centrality analysis methodology(Degree centrality, Closeness centrality, Betweenness centrality) was applied, followed by a keyword-based frequency occurrence analysis. The results suggested that more than 30% of the total keywords were related to "marine" and "pollution". Therefore, research on the effects of microplastic pollution on the ecosystem had mainly been conducted. On the other hand, only 6% of the keywords were related to "toxicity" and "ingestion". Hence, the number of studies on microplastic exposure caused by bioaccumulation or food are still insufficient. These results can be used to provide directions for future research, as well as provide basic data for political decision-making on the environmental hazards of microplastic.

  • There are insufficient cadaver-used practice programs for paramedic student education. To provide the basic data for the effective cadaver practice program, the study interviewed 255 students in department of EMT, who attended cadaver practicum. The results indicated that the average satisfaction level in education was 4.5 out of 5 and in relation to allotted time was 3.61 out of 5. The average understanding level of was 4.5 out of 5. In conclusion, senior students who have already taken clinical education & clinical procedure are recommended to focus on clinical anatomy practice and lower grade students are recommended to focus on understanding human body structure in cadaver-used practice program.
