A Study on the Base of Learning and Teaching Theories for School Libraries (학교도서관의 교수 - 학습 이론적 기초에 관한 연구)

  • Education is an intentional change of human behaviors. This change is implemented through the learning process of humans. The principles in the learning process and its psychological mechanism are based on learning theories. The objective insight about how they are related with school libraries as a basic organization supporting school education, what they can contribute and what their research methodologies are is a base for educational and academic research of school libraries. This study at first is to investigate learning and teaching theories for school libraries based on behavioral learning theories, cognitive learning theories and constructive learning theories which are general trends for learning theories. Then it is to introduce new theory 'library-based education approach (LBEA)'as an educational base of school libraries.

  • The interests of education methods using Serious games have been increasing recently. But resu,lt-oriented game design framework have not been reflected intrinsic motivation. To increase usage of educational serious game as resource, it is needed game design framework for providing the immersion and collaborative active learning that cognitive Psychologic theories recommend. By outlining the background of the serious game design framework and exemplifying its use, a constructive structure to examine purposed based games is introduced.

  • 이 연구는 이미 편성되어 있는 초등학교 학급의 학생들을 연구 대상으로 학생들의 개인적 특성을 장 독립-장 의존 인지양식으로 분류하여 이에 따른 e-learning 시스템의 학습효과를 분석하기 위해 실험연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과 e-learning을 통한 학습은 인지양식에 따라 학습효과에 상이한 결과를 가져오기 때문에 e-learning 학습 컨텐츠 개발과정에서 보다 구체적으로 고려되어야 할 사항임을 시사하고 있다.

Mediating Effect of Need of Cognition on Learning Engagement in Distance Education (원격교육에서 학습참여에 대한 인지욕구의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify whether need of cognition have a mediating effect on media multitasking on learning engagement in online education. The subjects were 168 university students who had received online education for more than one semester, and data were collected using questionnaires on media multitasking, need of cognition, and learning engagement. For data analysis, correlation, hierarchical regression and Sobel test were performed using SPSS WIN 20.0 program. As a result of the study, there was a significant positive correlation between media multitasking and learning engagement (r=.52, p<.001), and a between need of cognition and learning engagement(r=.39, p<.001). Media multitasking had a significant effect on learning participation (β=.52, p<.001), and explanatory power was 27%. When need of cognition was input, the effect of media multitasking on learning engagement decreased (β=.52 ⟶ .44), so it was found that need of cognition had a partial mediating effect in the effect of media multitasking on learning engagement(Z=2.77). p<.01). Therefore, it is suggested to use online contents with learning to organizing a g a lesson syllabus for distance education, and to organize activities promoting media multitasking activities. Also, it is proposed to develop and apply various teaching strategies to promoting the need of cognition in the distance education.

Comparative Study of Learning Strategies between Mathematical Gifted Children and Average Students in Elementary School (초등수학영재와 일반학생의 학습전략 검사결과 비교 연구)

  • This study is to understanding characteristics of Mathematical gifted children by comparing and analyzing of the learning strategies between gifted children and average students. The result of this study is as below. First, the mathematical gifted children's application ability on the cognitive meta-cognitive strategies and learning resources management strategies was higher than average students. Second, in case of learning resources management strategies between gender, male mathematical gifted students's t-test showed higher than female gifted students. Also, in case of average students, male student's t-test for the learning motive was higher than average female students. Third, mathematical gifted children are positive correlation among the learning motive, self-efficacy, cognitive meta-cognitive strategies, and learning resources management strategies. And in case of average student, it had a positive correlation among the learning motive, self-efficacy, and cognitive meta-cognitive strategies. But there is no correlation between learning strategies and cognitive meta-cognitive strategies.

The Effect of Combined Cognitive-Motor Learning Program with Mild Cognitive Impairment Elderly Patients (경도인지장애노인 대상 융복합 운동 프로그램의 효과 : 신체 인지 기반 복합 인지-운동 중심)

  • The purpose of this study was to demonstrate exploring the field application of combined cognitive-motor learning program based on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and Bartenieff Fundamental program. The combined cognitive-motor learning program(CC) was applied to the 10 MCI elder while 10 elder in occupational therapy(OT) took cognitive learning class. MMSE-K, Time up & go test(TUG), Tandem gait test(TA), GQOL-D were measured and analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by Independent & Paired T-test. The results were as follows: Both groups showed similar learning effect in MMSE-K test. However, in TA & GQOL-D test, CC group showed significant learning effect than OT group. From these result, we conclude that combined cognitive-motor learning program is valuable as alternative program for cognitive development and social development as well as physical development of MCI elder.

Influences of Cognitive Styles on Students' Mathematical Communication by Types of Mathematical Tasks (학습자의 인지양식이 수학 과제 유형별 수학적 의사소통에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the characteristics of students with different cognitive styles in the communication process according to the types of mathematical tasks and investigate the effects of their cognitive styles and types of mathematical tasks on their mathematical communication. For this, the investigator selected subjects according to the field dependent-field independent cognitive style by Witkin et al.(1977, p. 7). Mathematical tasks were developed in the areas of numbers and operations, regularity, and measurement according to the four types of Stein & Smith(1998, p. 269), which include the Memorization, Procedures without Connections, Procedures with Connections, and Doing Mathematics tasks. The selected students were divided into homogeneous groups according to their cognitive styles, and their communication processes according to the four types of mathematical tasks were observed through participation and videotaped. The videotapes were then transcribed and analyzed in protocols. The conclusions is that mathematical tasks of high cognitive level had positive effects on the activation of significant mathematical communication among the students and that differences in approaches to tasks according to their cognitive styles influenced their communicative activities in speaking and listening.

  • This study lets you know how semantic network programs called mind tools have an effect on students' learning achievements and learning motives regarded students' cognitive levels. It helps improve the education in the real situation of the classroom. It shows that the class applied by mind tools regarded transitional students' cognitive levels and motive strategies increases students' biologies-learning achievements because it improves students' concentration and confidence efficiently connected with new knowledge by using visual effects. Also, it shows that transitional students' semantic network learning is superior to students' in formal operation stage and it is effective in forming learning contents in the structural organization with students' knowledge.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 국가중요무형문화재 제92호 '강선영류 태평무' 교육을 체계적으로 보완하여 보편적 학습설계를 위한 구성주의 관점의 인지적 도제 학습의 적용가능성을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 전통무용 교육전문가 10명을 선정하여 개방형 설문과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 실시를 통해 의견을 수렴하였으며, 순환적 과정을 통해 모형 개발을 실행하고 형성적 순환에 중점을 두는 설계기반연구(DBR)를 수행하였다. 그 결과 전통적 도제에서의 교육적 한계점을 밝히고, 도제 원리의 특수성을 검토하여 구성주의 관점의 인지적 도제학습 관점에 기초한 한국 전통무용의 보편적 학습설계를 새롭게 개발하였다.
