Multiple Layers Block Overlapped Histogram Equalization based on The Detail Information (디테일 정보 기반의 다중 레이어 블록 오버랩 히스토그램 평활화)

  • For low contrast images, a histogram equalization is possible to easily identify information when the intensity is concentrated in an image. Over contrast enhancement is the problem of generating an unnatural image cognitively because the focus of existing techniques was the contrast enhancement. In order to solve this problem, CLAHE method solves unnatural problems by limiting contrast using a maximum threshold. However, this method has an extra problem that concealed detail information in an image. This paper proposes a detail-map based on the multiple layers block overlapped histogram equalization in order to avoid loss of detail information. Loss of detail information has been made to minimize as combining images with limited contrast enhancement using a detail-map in each layers.

The Later Wittgenstein' Philosophy and Mathematics Learning (후기 비트겐슈타인 철학과 수학 학습)

  • It is an increasing research area to explore mathematics learning from discursive perspectives. However, there have been little studies conducted on why and how discursive perspectives in mathematics learning were adopted and developed. Especially, not much discussion has been done on the later Wittgenstein's philosophical stance in terms of the relationship between language and thought as a background of discursive approach to learning mathematics. This study aims to explore the later Wittgenstein on language to get better understanding about discursive approaches to mathematics learning. For the attainment of this aim, first the later philosophy is compared with the former philosophy in depth. Then the later philosophy is discussed focusing on how his point of view on the world and the language have been changed. After providing an account of his later philosophy, it is clarified that what is discursive approaches to learning mathematics and how this philosophy brace the approaches. This research concludes with implications and limitations, as well as suggestions for future researches.

The Characteristics of Reading-related Skills in Poor Comprehenders, Poor Readers and Normal Readers in Hangul (읽기장애 유형에 따른 인지능력 특성 연구)

  • We assessed reading-related skills in children with reading comprehension difficulties ("Poor comprehenders"), word decoding difficulties ("Poor decoders") and normal readers, matched for age and nonverbal IQ. The reading-related skill tests used in our study are phonological processing, visual processing test, and receptive vocabulary test. The authors argue that children who had difficulty in reading comprehension had lower scores only on the phonological short-term memory test compared with normal readers, although their performance on receptive vocabulary and visual processing tests are comparable to normal readers. The results of our study revealed that poor decoders had lower scores on the phonological processing, visual processing, and receptive vocabulary tests.

Exploring new directions of flipped Learning with a focus on teachers' perceptions (플립드 러닝에 대한 인식 및 활성화 방안 연구)

  • Many studies have been conducted for a relatively short period of time since the introduction of flipped learning in the country. However, most research focuses on the ways of flipped learning and its efficiency, hence, the perception of the teacher about flipped learning has not been studied yet. In this study, to investigate the teacher's perception of flipped learning, 1,038 teachers conducted the survey which consists of three areas such as their understandings of flipped learning, their using patterns and their expectations of flipped learning in the future. The results showed that teacher's understanding and using state of flipped learning was not that high. Also, they were very cautious of using flipped learning for their class. Based on the results, the activation plans of flipped Learning were also proposed.

A Study on the Development of Conceptualization Model for Reading, Information, ICT, and Digital Literacy (독서·정보·ICT·디지털 리터러시의 개념화 모델 개발 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop conceptualization models of reading, information, ICT, and digital literacy through conceptual differences of these literacy by reviewing and defining the concepts of literacy as well as reading, information, ICT, and digital literacy. Computer literacy has emerged as a concept that explains the phenomenon of contemporary social, cultural, and information technology development, and since then, computer literacy has since changed to IT, ICT literacy, and digital literacy. As a result of the study, a conceptualization model of the reading, information, ICT, and digital literacy was developed. In this model, these literacy whose terms have changed according to the technological development of media, have been classified as medium-centered literacy. And reading and information literacy that focuses on the cognitive process of understanding, utilizing, and evaluating texts and information is categorized as process-oriented literacy. In the digital environment, reading and information literacy is a core competence to critically think and evaluate the texts that are on media, and further research is needed to reduce the reading and the information gap among readers.

Application of Augmented Reality to Steel Column Inspection (강기둥 시공검측을 위한 증강현실의 적용)

  • Inspection of steel columns which is one of the most critical elements in construction requires trained surveyor(s). Also it takes time to handle survey device(s) delicately for accurate measurements. To improve the inspection process of steel columns, the previous studies developed the AR prototype system, ARCam, and showed that ARCam is a promising inspection device that can reduce inspection time. However, ARCam still requires a surveyor to make measurements based on his visual perception and judgment This study proposes an algorithm for automatic inspection based on ARCam. The algorithm is based on image processing and computer vision and focuses on the inspection of steel column plumbness. This method will make measurements without a surveyor's judgment. The ultimate purpose of the automatic inspection is to minimize the surveying labor, thus reducing inspection time and cost.

Analyzing Impact Factors of User Resistance to Accepting Paid Mobile Application (유료 모바일 애플리케이션 수용 저항 요인에 관한 분석)

  • While the mobile application market is growing fast, the revenues of the majority apps are declining. Moreover, paid mobile application prices and purchases have been slow because of intensifying competition. However, the conventional studies focused only on the acceptance factor of mobile applications, so they cannot explain the phenomenon such as acceptance resistance for paid mobile applications. Therefore, our study tries to analyze the factors for the acceptance resistance of users for paid mobile applications. The research model in this paper, which is based on S-O-R model, verified through surveys how social influence and app characteristics affect user perception and how user perception affects to app resistance. The results of our study showed that paid mobile applications happened to be destroyed in front of the chasm because of the perceived loss. Consequently, the results implicate that the developers should lower the initial price and actively react to the negative reviews in order to lower the perceived loss. Moreover, the results verified that a sense of self-efficacy can lower application acceptance resistance by including personal properties to our research model as control variables.

  • In implementing a computerized virtual training system, the auditory element is responsible for the human cognitive ability following visual elements. Especially, the improvement of hearing ability is closely related to the performance of the training, and it contributes to improvement of the training effect. In this paper, we propose a sound system that is necessary for constructing such a virtual training system as a test system that can use a sound source using a head related transfer function (HRTF). Functional and auditory tests were performed to evaluate system performance.

사용자 인터페이스 디자인을 위한 Video Protocol 분석 도구 개발에 관한 연구

  • 디자이너에게 필요한 정보가 제품의 성격이 변함에 따라 변하면서 정보 수집의 흐름도 달라져가고 있다. 지금까 지의 디자인 정보 수집이 단순 설문조사에서 사용자의 사용상황을 관찰하는 보다 실질적인조사 혹은 컨텍스트 디 자인(Context Design: 사용환경을 고려한 디자인)으로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 그러나 기존의 조사분석방법들이 특정한 면(인지적 혹은 행위적)에 편중된 자료 수집에 초점이 맞추어져 있어서 다양한 정보의 수집과 이러한 정보의 통합 적 관리가 어려운 문제점을 가지고 있다. 정보의 수집과 통합적 관리의 어려움이 발생하게 되는 원인을 좀더 구체 적으로 살펴보면 첫째, 수잡되는 데이터의 문제이다. 데이터의 성격을 사용자인 개인의 조작행위에 중점을 두거나 또는 작업상황이나 사용자의 성격/선호도와 같은 부분에 중점을 두기 때문에 서로 상호작용하여 사용자 인터페이스에 큰 영향을 미치는 이 두 유형의 데이터에 관한 분석을 어렵게 하는 원인이 되고 있다. 둘째, 적당한 데이터 수집도구 (data logger)의 미비를 들 수 있다. 이것은 기존의 Data logger들은 정보를 문자나 숫자 또는 특수문자로서 정보를 추출하게 됨으로써 데이터를 뽑는 당시부터 정보가 추출자로인하여 1차적으로 가공이 된다는 점이다. 이것은 보다 실질적이고 분석단계에서 보다 면밀한 분석이 이루어 질 수 있는 중요한 데이터가 유출될 수도 있다는 것을 의미하는 것이다. 마지막으로 위에서 언급했던 두 유형의 데이터를 동시에 분석할 수 있는 방법의 부재와 실질적인 데이터를 분석하여 이를 디자인에 활용할 수 있는 정보로 가공할 수 있는 도구가 마련되어 있지 않다는 점이다. 디자인 작업은 종합적인 시각화 과정임에 비해 분석된 결과가 비시각적이며 위에서 언급했듯이 분절된 정보가 되기 쉽기 때문에 이를 디자인에 곧바로 적용시키기 어려운 점이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기존의 바용성 평가를 위한 분석도구들이 갖는 문제 점들 해결하여 제품의 사용자 인터페이스 디자인 개발과정에서 활용할 수 있는 평가 분석도구를 개발하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 다양한 유형의 정보를 포함하는 비디오 정보를 선정하였따. 둘째, 데이터를 다양한 측면에서 추출할 수 있는 Data logger를 개발하였다. 셋째, 데이터를 시각적으로 정리하고 분석할 수 있는 도구를 제안한다. 마지막으로 인터페이스 디자인에서 여러 가지 디자인안을 도출해 내는 작업에 이용할 수 있는 종합화과정을 개발한다. 이러한 일련의 과정이 통합된 컴퓨터 시스템 안에서 이루어지도록 프로그램을 개발하여 정보의 유용성을 높일 수 있도록 한다.

An Empirical Study on the Revitalization of O2O: A Unified View of Offline Channel and Mobile Channel (O2O 서비스 활성화 방안에 대한 실증 연구: 오프라인 채널과 모바일 채널의 통합적 관점에서)

  • This study explores unified service experience to boost O2O services. Previous studies on service management and marketing only focused on customer experience in offline stores, while prior works on information systems looked only at the experience of services in mobile applications. In this vein, this study took into accounts the characteristics of offline stores and the benefits of their mobile applications. Moreover, the final dependent variable was share of wallet to measure customer's expenditure within the category. The theoretical model was tested based on 219 consumers who frequently visit Starbucks and use its mobile application. PLS method was applied to analysis the research model and hypotheses. The analysis results showed that customer satisfaction about offline store is not significantly related to share of wallet, while satisfaction about mobile application plays a significant role in enhancing share of wallet. Hedonic and social benefits were found to have significant effects on satisfaction about mobile application. The analysis results help establish service marketing and strategies to enhance the unified customer experience of O2O service.
