정책개입시점에 대한 시스템 다이내믹스의 교훈

  • 본 논문에서는 정책개입시기를 이해하고 논의하는데 있어서 시스템 다이내믹스 학자들의 연구가 어떠한 시사점을 줄 수 있는가에 관하여 논의한다. 정책 시스템을 피드백 루프를 중심으로 하여 양의 피드백 루프가 지배하는 시스템, 음의 피드백 루프가 지배하는 시스템, 음과 양의 피드백 루프가 지배하는 시스템을 구분한다. 그리고 각 시스템에 있어서 바람직한 정책 개입의 시기에 관하여 논의하고, 어떠한 인지적 편향과 제도적 장애가 있는지를 논의한다.

Implications of Using Physical and Virtual Tools in Learning Science Concepts from a Literature Review (문헌고찰을 통한 물리적 도구와 가상도구의 사용이 과학 개념학습에 미치는 시사점)

  • It has been known that the tool characteristics embedded in physical tools and virtual tools act with different underlying mechanisms in a user's knowledge acquisition and conceptual understanding. This overview study examines the learning process through the use of physical and virtual tools from the perspective of conceptual frameworks, affordability that tools present, and the depth of cognitive engagement that occurs in the process of learning concepts through various learning activities. Based on the conceptual frameworks, the results of previous comparative studies were reinterpreted. It was found that what mattered for learning is the amount of new information that a tool provides and the different level of cognitive engagement that students use through various learning activities. Finally, the implications to be considered when teachers use physical and virtual tools to help students better understand various concepts are discussed.

Effect of Virtual Reality Exposure and Web-based Cognitive Intervention Integrated Program on Social Anxiety Disorder (발표상황에 대한 가상현실노출과 웹기반 인지적 개입의 통합 프로그램 효과 검증)

  • In this study, the effect of VR exposure programs integrated with web-based cognitive restructuring education on reducing social anxiety was confirmed. The experimental group (n=12) received a 10~15 minute session of web-based cognitive intervention and a 20-minute session of virtual reality exposure therapy. The comparison group (n=15) received a 10~15 minute session of web-based speech education and a 20-minute session of virtual reality exposure therapy. After 4 weeks, the experimental group had an increase in positive interpretation bias, a decrease in negative interpretation bias, and a decreased level of social anxiety. These results suggest that the combination of self-help form of web-based cognitive intervention in the treatment of social anxiety disorder can improve the therapeutic effect of VRET.

A Qualitative Study on Reducing Dental Anxiety through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (인지행동치료를 통한 치과불안 감소에 대한 질적 연구)

  • Many people in Korea suffer from a fear of dental treatments; however, only a few studies have focused on this population. This study assessed the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and its interventions in reducing dental anxiety, especially when administered by trained dental staff. Using case studies, the authors analyzed the content of each session and examined the process of reducing dental anxiety. First, the authors observed that the results of both dental fear scale and subjective unit of disturbance decreased significantly with changes in cognitive distortions related to dental anxiety and that rapid improvements were noted after two therapy sessions. Second, the study reported that practicing relaxation (deep-breathing) and muscle relaxation techniques; using hand signals to indicate anxiety or discomfort; establishing an empathic relationship with the therapist; making an anxiety list; and graded insensitive and exposure along with rehearsal, were effective in coping with dental anxiety and in changing negative thoughts towards the dentist. Third, a simple cognitive behavioral intervention can be effective in reducing dental anxiety. In summary, a short-term, five-session psychological intervention with CBT produced a sustained decrease in the symptoms of dental anxiety, allowing the patients to receive the required procedures. The authors discussed the study limitations and the implication of their results on future research.

지배적 피드백 루프에 대한 인지적 편향

  • 지배적 피드백 루프는 구조가 시스템의 행동을 유발한다는 점에 있어서 매우 중요한 개념이다. 본 논문에서는 지배적 피드백 루프의 전환을 완만한 전환(continuous shifts)과 급격한 전환(discrete shifts)의 두 가지로 분류하였다. 본 연구에서는 지배적 피드백 루프의 전환에 대한 인지적 편향을 세 가지의 가설로 분류하여 제시하였다. 이에는 1) 완만한 전환에 대한 인식의 실패, 2) 의사결정 자들의 급격한 전환에 의존하는 경향, 3) 지배적 피드백 루프의 인식에 있어서 수준변수와 변화율 변수간의 차이 등이 포함된다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서는 지배적 피드백 루프에 의한 인지적 편향이 의사결정과정의 시간지연과 정책 개입의 시기에 대하여 어떠한 시사점을 주는지에 관하여 논의하였다.

The Automatic Processing of Emotion (정서의 자동처리기제)

  • This literature review explores the possibilities for the automatic processing to account for the people's responses to emotional stimuli. The most fundamental question is if some parts of emotions are experienced without any intrusion of cognitions. In other words. can emotions be processed completely implicitly$\ulcorner$ Some studies advocate emotion related processes are much more immediate and primary than semantic processes. The phenomena to catch up the emotive values of stimuli even subliminally suggest that the implicit knowledge structure takes charge of this automatic processes of emotional information. This study summarizes the explanatory scheme of emotional processing by means of applying implicit memory principle and physiological evidences related to e emotional memories.

  • 본 논문에서는 비상운전 상황하에서 표출되는 운전원들의 직무전략 및 인지적인 특성을 도출하기 위해 운전원 교육 프로그램을 대상으로 운전원들의 직무특성을 분석하였다. 운전원들의 직무특성을 인지과정의 개입 정도에 따라 크게 Macro와 Micro로 구분하여 이들 직무특성을 잘 대변해 줄 수 있는 비상운전 시나리오를 개발하였다. 시뮬레이터를 통해 개발 시나리오에 따른 운전원들의 비상운전절차 수행과정을 비디오로 기록, 운전원들의 행동과 대화내용을 전산 분석하여 직무특성을 도출하였다.

An Entropy-Based Measure for Evaluation the Cognitive Complexity of User Interface (엔트로피를 기반으로 한 사용자 인터페이스 인지적 복잡도의 척도)

  • 현대의 시스템들이 가지는 고기능화와 자동화로 인하여 인간의 운용 능력이 점점 더 중요한 능력으로 부각되고 있으며, 이는 사용자가 경험하게 되는 인지넉 복잡도를 제어하는 것을 요구한다. 본 연구에서는 사용자 인터페이스에서 사용자가 경험해야 하는 인지적 복잡도를 스키마 구조를 반영하여 정량화하는 엔트로피 모형(윤완철, 1992)을 적용하여 사용자가 겪게 될 인지적 복잡도를 예측하는 척도가 제안되었으며 실험적으로 검증되었다. 엔트로피와 시스템 크기-조작의 수와 상태의 수-가 각각 다른 세 가지 인터페이스 (엔트로피가 낮고 작은 크기의 인터페이스, 엔트로피가 높고 작은 크기의 인터페이스, 엔트로피가 높고 큰 크기의 인티페이스) 중의 하나를 사용하는 것을 피험자이 학습하고, 이에 대해 검사를 받았다. 제안된 척도인 시스템 엔트로피는 사용자 수행도를 잘 설명하였지만, 시스템의 크기는 그러하지 않았다. 본 연구는 사용자가 겪게 될 인지적 복잡도를 평가자의 주관이 개입하지 않는 방법을 통하여 평가할 수 있음을 보인 것으로 가전제품이나 스프트웨어의 디자인의 평가와 개선 등 인간의 인지적 복잡도가 사용성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 분야에서 유용하리라 여겨진다.

A Study on Development and Application of An Educational Program to Intervene with Elementary School Students' Smartphone Addiction (초등학생 스마트폰 중독 개입교육 프로그램의 개발 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine if educational programs to intervene with smartphone addiction developed for elementary school students are effective in reducing their smartphone overuse that has been rapidly increasing nowadays. To attain the goal, the study analyzes internet addiction intervention programs previously developed with the cognitive behavior therapy of which effectiveness has been verified in psychotherapy for those showing addiction, and based on that, it develops and applies educational programs to intervene with smartphone addiction. The conclusions the paper has drawn are as follows: First, educational programs to intervene with smartphone addiction are effective in reducing the tendencies of smartphone addiction of those students using smartphones too much for their irrational thinking or habitual behavior. Second, educational programs to intervene with smartphone addiction will facilitate behavioral changes regarding negative factors of smartphone addiction such as maladaptation in everyday life or tolerance and also help the reconstruction of elementary school students' positive cognition on smartphone use.

Use of Single-System Design to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy of Depression (임상실천 평가를 위한 단일체계설계의 적용 -우울증 감소를 위한 인지행동치료에 대한 평가를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study, which has its focus on the utilization of single-system design for practice evaluation, is to evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy of depression by using a AB design. 3 inpatients in a local hospital with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder agreed to participate in this study. The AB design includes a 2weeks of the baseline phase and 3 weeks of the intervention phase. More than one outcome measures were used in order to validate the results of the measurement. Data were analyzed statistically as well as visually. Tools such as trend line and trend index were used to improve the accuracy of the visual analysis and the 3 standard deviation approach was used for statistical significance test. The results showed that all clients improved. This study lists some advantages of using single-system design for evaluating clinical practice: monitoring, encouraging clients' active role in social work process, and easy data analysis.
