Low and Intermediate Level Radioactive Waste Certification Program Plan (중.저준위 방사성폐기물 인증 프로그램 계획)

  • The regulation for the low and intermediate level radioactive waste to be transferred to the disposal facility, recently revised, require that radioactive waste generators should set up waste certification program to verify the radioactive waste conform to the waste acceptance criteria(WAC) before disposal. The radioactive waste disposal facility, scheduled to be constructed in Korea, will institute WAC for the wastes to be transferred to the facility. This WAC is expected to compose of the requirements for the radiological characterization, physical and chemical characterization, physical/chemical restriction, prohibited item, packaging, identification, labeling, and documentation. For the compliance with this regulation, The radioactive waste generators should verify that the waste meet WAC through performance of the waste certification program and are responsible for handing in all the certification documents to the disposal facility. This waste certification program plan was set up as a preliminary program for the certification of radioactive waste generated in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and should be further revised until preparation of WAC by disposal agent.

A Study on Minimization of Leakage of Important Information in M&A (인수합병(M&A)시 기업 중요정보 유출 최소화 방안 연구)

  • M&As are continuing to grow globally and are expected to increase in the future. With the fourth industrial revolution and the strengthening of neo-protection trade between countries, technology is cited as the core of national competitiveness, and the trend of M&A's increase, which is aimed at securing technology, is expected to continue. However, the risk of technology leakage, which is difficult to determine clearly illegally in the process of M&A, is still growing, and there is not enough prevention or response to this problem. the purpose of this paper was to divide the M&A process into seven stages and to ensure that important information of the enterprises during M&A between the countries and the domestic companies was not leaked unfairly, and each step analyzed the risk factors and causes of the leakage of important information in the M&A process and presented a risk-specific management plan for minimizing the leakage of important information based on the importance of the risk factors. Companies that pursue M&A in the future will reflect the M&A step-by-step risk and risk management measures derived based on case analysis and expert surveys. I hope to use risk management measures to help minimize unintentional leakage of important corporate information into the outside.

Information recognition style and Learning method for factorization - Focusing on algeblocks and formula application - (정보인식 유형과 인수분해 학습방법 -대수막대와 공식 활용을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the differences between two groups of students according to information recognition styles such as visual learners and linguistic learners. Two instructional methods, algeblocks and factorization formula, were utilized to introduce the factorization. Four students were participated for the study, and two of them were visual learners and the other two were linguistic learners based on learning style test. Interviews and the diagnostic tests were implemented before the instructions which were lasted for 6 sessions. After the instructions all the participants were interviewed and the researchers also interviewed them 5 days later. The results of the study were the followings: 1. All the participants regardless of their learning style revealed that algeblocks were helpful in understanding the factorization. 2. Visual learners were more likely using algeblocks, while the linguistic learners were more enthusiastic and proficient in using formula to solve the problems. 3. Five days later, two types of learning style students revealed different tendencies. Visual learners mainly used algeblocks, and linguistic learners were not enthusiastic about using algeblocks and one of them did not use them at all. 4. Five days later, two visual learners could not remember the formula, but linguistic learners could remember the formula in somewhat different level.

Awareness of Major Zoonoses among Dairy Farmers in Gyeonggi Province (경기도 낙농업자의 주요 인수공통감염증 인지도)

  • Objective: We surveyed awareness levels of brucellosis, Q fever and enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) among dairy farmers in Gyeonggi Province to suggest directions for public education and public relations. Methods: We designed questionnaires to evaluate awareness of 3 major zooneses. We conducted a questionnaire survey to assess knowledge of the general characteristics of them, information sources for the awareness of zooneses, and the mode of transmission. Subjects were 716 workers from 482 dairy farms in Gyeonggi province. Results: The awareness levels for brucellosis, Q fever, and EHEC were 90.2%, 2.5% and 56.6%, respectively. Awareness of brucellosis and EHEC were tended to increase with higher number of school years. Television was the most common route of information for these zoonoses. Most common responses for questions concerning the method of transmission for each zoonoses, 'Contact with parturient fluid or placenta of animal' was 63.2% for brucellosis, 'Ingestion of raw meat or residual product' was 66.7% and 64.2% for Q fever and EHEC, respectively. The most common reason why dairy farmers think that it is difficult to prevent zoonoses was the inconvenience of wearing protection. Conclusions: Education programs for zoonoses, especially Q fever, are needed for dairy farmers. In addition, publicity information activities about prevention of zoonoses are needed for high risk groups, such as the dairy farmers surveyed.
