A Study on the play of Allegory in the 1970s - Focusing on Lee Kang-baek's Early Works - (1970년대 알레고리극 희곡 연구 - 이강백의 초기 작품을 중심으로 -)

  • In the 1970s, under the tyrannical regulation and censorship of the Yushin regime, realistic dramatization techniques were forced to reveal their limitations. Choosing the 'allegory' technique, a double-meaning narrative structure, Lee Kang-baek sets up virtual spaces or unrealistic figures, both of which lack 'realism'. Lee Kang-baek has allergic the illusion of detadiscourse, the diaspora character, and the universality of 'Political Unconsciousness'. So it's linked to the perception of history in the 1960s. This creates a semantic network of public and casual perception of history. This was a 'bypass' strategy which more clearly disclose the violent politics. Therefore Lee Kang-baek's play shows the desperate situation of the diaspora character being oppressed by detadiscourse, and the desire of the author who can never give up on freedom of expression, though under that oppression. Furthermore, it was an attempt to acquire a timeless universality and symbolism about human freedom and liberation through the Allegory play technique.

  • 기존의 정보검색시스템이 사용자의 질의에 의해 키워드가 포함된 의미 있는 문서를 제공하는 시스템이라면, 질의응답시스템은 사용자 질의에 맞는 정답을 적절한 언어처리 기법을 통해 텍스트로부터 추출하여 제공하는 시스템이다. 이러한 언어처리 기법을 이용한 질의응답 시스템에서 시스템의 성능 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있는 것이, 실세계의 지식을 저장하고 있는 지식베이스라 할 수 있다. 지식베이스가 가지고 있는 실세계의 지식을 어떻게 효율적으로 활용하느냐에 따라 질의 처리 분석과 정답 확률을 향상시킬 수 있는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 실세계의 지식을 어느 정도 체계적 의미적으로 반영하고 있는 것을 백과사전으로 판단하여, 백과사전의 '인물' 범주(category)를 중심으로 백과사전 지식베이스의 틀을 마련하고자 하였다. 또한 어휘의 계층적 구조를 중심으로 한 온톨로지를 백과사전 지식베이스와 유기적으로 연결시킴으로써 보다 의미 있는 지식베이스를 형성하는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다.

  • The historical film is complex genre that give various messages of directors besides a historical fact. Shin Sangok and Lee Joonik are important historical film directors. Their films show director's style by various method of historical reproduction. Sin Sangok and Lee Joonik portrayed same person Yeonsan, in and . They described identical person and historical fact in a different way. This is due to director's view of history, time of reinterpretation of history, and so forth. Therefore this paper is going to analysis the method of representation on history.

  • K/DA is a K-pop virtual idol based on the game character. This study analyzed the creation process, characteristics and existential meaning of virtual idols from the perspective of Pataphysics. K/DA is a character with both characteristics of game character and K-pop girl group. Also, virtual character and real idol share the body through motion capture and augmented reality(AR). As a result, K/DA crosses virtual and reality, and at the same time becomes a pataphysical subject that does not belong to either virtual or reality. K/DA is suggested a third zone where digital subjects will be located in the future.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explain the operation and meaning of the narrative, which is one of the main principles for the contents construction, especially focusing on the concepts 'difference' and 'desire'. The classical aesthetic taught us that the differences between diverse characters and reality models are the effective strategy for the reading the story. But this paper focuses on the structural difference of the event (story) and performance (discourse) of narrative, which are regarded as the basic condition of narrative. This difference is to describe in terms of the media theory and psychoanalysis. This paper also seeks to interpret the recent korean film to exemplify that the creation of difference for the fulfillment of desire is the basic element of the narrative constitution.

An Entity-centric Integrated Search System Using URI (URI를 이용한 개체 중심적 통합 검색 시스템)

  • To overcome the limitation of keyword-based integrated search, this study shows entity-centric integrated search method using URI scheme. Our system generates entity pages in ways of analyzing user's keyword and instances matched with it, selecting optimal entity type, and calling unit services simultaneously. Topic information extracted from articles is propagated to persons, institutions, and locations by reasoning for providing topic-centric information. With comparative experiments based on search results and usability tests, we proved that this approach is superior to keyword-based integrated search served by CiteSeer and Google Scholar.

  • The access to literary works, including fictions, has focused on descriptive elements, and the subject access has been confined to denotative elements such as the subject matter, name of character and geographical name, etc, which appear in the work. This practice will not lead to the essence of subject of fiction, and does not reflect the demand of users for the subject who pursue aesthetic experience. In this study, concepts of symbol and motif and their possibility to be used as subject access point are considered to enhance a subject access scheme. In addition, this study tries to build the scheme of symbol and motif by using the glossary as the source of information. The composed schemes are applied to 20th century Korean fictions and its usability and limits are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest specific elements for archiving tangible and intangible materials based on popular, administrative, historical, and cultural functions of traditional markets. Related literature was thus reviewed and the cases of Seoul Yangnyeongsi Story Archive, Gwangju Dae-An Yesul Market Archive Project D, and Daegu Bukseong-Ro Gongu Museum were analyzed. Through the literature review, elements of physical environments, social factors, experience, and people were defined as the placeness of traditional markets. Based on the aforementioned, specific elements to archive traditional markets were thus suggested.

  • The purpose of this study analyzes the basic elements of film acting based on Stanislavsky Circles of Attention. This research also demonstrates the basic elements on how to become a good film actor. I attempt to interpret Stanislavsky Circles of Attention, in order to adapt the size of camera shots and the location of microphones. This Circles of Attention is an effective method utilized for actors to help them understand and be absorbed in the work of art both in film and stage. It is useful for building a character in realism drama as well as in film. I believe Stanislavsky Circles of Attention is certainly the most advanced acting style in film because it proposes the importance of physical action for actors.
